Queer geography of Czechia: Heteronormativity of space

Drawing on rigorous foreign, both Western and non-Western, literature, this thesis introduces sexuality and its connected spatial conceptualizations to Czech geography. In the beginning of the theoretical part, I discuss the framework under which geography studies sexuality. Then, I discuss the crucial terminology while pointing out at some changes in it. After understanding some of the major terminological issues, I delve into a description of the multiple and diverse development of sexuality related geographies. Focusing on queer geography, I delineate the queer standpoint and concentrate on understanding the spatial construction of sexuality in space while unveiling the heteronormativity of space. Using the queer approach, I implicitly deconstruct the binary of public and private space by pointing out at its spuriousness regarding the sexuality. I present a queer bar as a typical queer space while revealing the sexual closetedness of LGBTIQ people. Then I introduce the school environment as, for the time being, a typical heteronormative space and institution. In the end of the theoretical part, I discuss the queer practices of destabilizing heteronormativity both at school and in public space. Tourism of wheelchair users in national parks of Czechia

The theme of this thesis is a specific form of tourism - the tourism of wheelchair users in national parks of Czechia. The definition of basic terms and needs of wheelchair users is described in a theoretical part of thesis. Most of the thesis surveys option in specific national parks, it focuses on hiking trails with use for paraplegics specifically and their classification. The availability of information and available resources is key aspect for persons with reduced mobility. The main output is unified classification of hiking trails for wheelchairs users becouse there is not unified classification of hiking trails in specific national parks nor in Czechia. The unified classification has been applied for concrete trails in specific national parks. Created classification has been consulted with specialists in this domain and wheelchair users together. The feedback shows real possibility of use in practices and its benefit for people with reduces mobility. Parallel Implementation of Multireference Coupled Clusters Methods and Calculations on Large Systems

Firstly, we have developed a Tensor Contraction Engine-based implementation of the BW-MRCCSD approach. The scalability tests have been performed across thousand of cores. We have further developed a novel two-level parallel algorithm for Hilbert-space MRCC methods which uses the processor groups. In this approach, references are distributed among processor groups (reference-level parallelism) and tasks of each reference are distributed inside of a given processor group (task-level parallelism). We have shown that our implementation scales across 24000 cores. The usability of our code was demonstrated on larger systems (dodecane, polycarbenes and naphthyne isomers). Finally, we present novel universal state- selective (USS) corrections to the state-specific MRCC methods. The USS-corrected MRCC results were compared with the full configuration interaction (FCI) results.

Tensor Network-based Computational Methods for Strongly Correlated Molecular Quantum Mechanics

Despite an immense progress in recent decades, a precise treatment of strongly corre- lated molecular systems still remains a challenge as of today. To help solve this problem, we have developed a massively parallel implementation of DMRG, called MOLMPS. For nonrelativistic systems requiring accurate treatment of both static and dynamical corre- lation, we have extended MOLMPS by the means of the almost linear scaling DLPNO- TCCSD method. In relativistic domain, we are the first who employed the 4c-CCSD to add dynamical correlation on top of DMRG, yielding the 4c-TCCSD method. When tested on benchmarks like the π-conjugated anthracene tetramer with CAS(63,63) and the FeMoco cofactor with CAS(113,76). We showed a good parallel performance on up to about 2000 CPUs. On the example of Iron(II)-Porphyrin model, we showed that the DLPNO-TCCSD captures 99.9% of TCCSD correlation energy. Our spectroscopic study on heavy diatomics showed that the 4c-TCCSD approach increases the precision of underlying CCSD to the order of CCSD(T) and that it is a promising approach. The Process of Coming Out in Non-Heterosexual People

The thesis describes the process of coming out in non-heterosexual people, its development and importance in heteronormative societies. It focuses on the overall inclusivity, destigmatization and detabuization of non-heterosexual people in the society as well as in the scientific research. The theoretic part presents firstly the original models describing coming out as a linear development with a clear ending and secondly the current concept perceiving coming out as a complex psycho-social-sexual process, not necessarily one-directional nor terminable. The key part of the secondly named approach are eight developmental milestones which in some way appear during the process of coming out in most non-heterosexual people. The empirical part focuses on coming out in Czech society, mostly on the search for common topics which can be found during its course and the description of their specific form in the participants of the study. Qualitative empirical design, specifically semi-structured in-depth interviews and thematic analysis were used for these purposes. The results partly correspond with the developmental milestones described in the theoretic part, but new topics - specific for the Czech society - appear as well. Queer geografie sexualit: sociokulturní organizace sexualit v prostoru a (de)konstrukce heteronormativity.

Geographies of sexualities started to develop within the Anglo-American academic context during the late 1980s. In the 1990s, propelled by the cultural turn, the swelling of post-structuralist and postmodern critiques, and a growing recognition of the limitations to scientific knowledge production and representation, geographers of sexualities introduced queer theory into human geography. Queer theory provided human geography with powerful tools for approaching not only straightforward spatialities of sexualities, but this new lens contributed to the development of human geographies as such. Currently, at least in the Anglo-Saxon geographical context, the field of geographies of sexualities is considered part of mainstream human geography. Therefore, the main goal of this thesis is to provide a few lines of reasoning for the development of geographies of sexualities in Czechia and Central Eastern Europe (CEE) and introduction of post-structuralist understandings, specifically queer theory. In contrast to other phenomena that may be locally exclusive or particular, human sexualities are everyplace, albeit quite variable and dependent on the context in which they "enter into language," become institutionalized, and are regulated. Development of public space of non-heterosexual people in Czechia: Prague as a "queer" capital?

This bachelor's thesis analyses the development of spatial organisation of Czech non- heterosexual people, it offers a study of public socializing possibilities of this group in Prague since the beginning of socialism to the present. Thesis deals with a question of what direction is Prague as the "gay capital" being developed at the present. The research part of the work is based on a secondary geographical content analysis of available literature drawing mainly from data based on so called oral historical method. Carried out research found that the biggest milestone in this development was the year 1989 enabling for rapid growth of non- heterosexuals' socializing possibilities in the 1990s. This rapid development currently produces metropolis of Prague, offering a range of gay and lesbian activities, that able Prague to compete with other big cities in Western Europe. key words: non-heterosexual, homosexual, gay, lesbian, queer, Prague, socialism, public space, heteronormativity
