Techniques and security in cases of fraud of selected types of Electronic banking

The main topic of the thesis are different methods of Electronic banking fraud and options of Electronic banking security. The history of Electronic banking and current legal regulations including definition of some ambigious terms are described in the first part. In this part there are also described means of remote access to Electronic banking, which also outlines present options of online communication with the bank. Analysis of different methods and practical forms of fraud of different kinds of Electronic banking are described in the next part. The fraud of payment cards and internet banking are those that are mostly specified. Various types of security and fraud prevention including solutions of problems that may arise are outlined in the last part. Responsibility for fraud is portrayed in the very last part of the thesis.
Financial behavior of households in the Czech Republic

This thesis describes financial behavior of the households in the Czech Republic in the years 2004 till 2012. Object of this work was to notice the economic style of available financial resources from several points of view. First part of work introduces theoretical determination of households and their disposable income with characteristics of the final consumption expenditures and savings. Following part of thesis deals with the published results of researches with topics of households' financial behavior, with factors of influences of these habits and with structure of their financial portfolio. Last chapter presents results of final changes in their behavior by three different indicators (marginal propensity to consume and to save, households' rate of indebtedness and the development of personal bankrupts) during the reported period of time.
Banking market consumer loans in the Slovak republic

This paper aims at consumer loans on the banking market in the Slovak republic. It defines legislature related to the topic in the European union, as well as in the Slovak republic. Later on, it concentrates on verification of client data, analyses precontracual information provided to consumers and the portfolio of consumer loans offerd by the Slovak banks.
Bank financing of pharmaceutical company

The aim of my thesis is to propose a financing structure for the selected company and then process the credit application. The first part is focused on the strategy of the bank, lending products and the risks that the bank undertakes. Also contains a description of the credit process - the calculation of a credit rating, financing structuring, collateral, covenants determination and processing of credit application. The thesis analyses the specifics of the pharmaceutical industry. Theoretical knowledge is applied to the example of financing of pharmaceutical company and the preparation of a credit application.
Credit Risk Management in the Leasing Company

This thesis is focused on the credit risk management in the leasing company. Firstly, the attention is paid to leasing market in the Czech Republic and leasing by itself. Afterwards are described risks which leasing companies during their business activities are exposed. Emphasis is placed mainly on the credit risk management. Major part of the thesis deals with ex-ante and ex-post credit risk analysis in leasing business. At first is analyzed approval of the business transaction. Below the process of administration of debtor's statement in the leasing company is analyzed. Final case study performs the practical application of methods and procedures in the credit risk management.
Systemically Important Banks in the Context of Financial Stability

A failure of systemically important bank was up to the present time in most cases avoided through providing financial support by government because there were concerns about destroying the financial stability followed by decline in economic activity because of size, interconnectedness and limited substitutability of the failing bank. However, the implicit governmental guarantees for systemically important banks create many distortions in an economy which are desirable to eliminate. Considering restriction of moral hazard, no increase in systemic risk and preservation of social benefits of G-SIBs the parallel implementation of higher capital requirements and recovery and resolution policy seems to be the most effective measure from proposed regulatory measures for systemically important banks. The future benefits and costs of these measures will be dependent in a high degree on the form and way in which the new rules will be incorporated by governments to their national regulatory frameworks.
Mortgage loans and financing housing in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis is focused on mortgage loan as a product for financing own housing and on analysis of development of mortgage loans depending on macroeconomic indicators. The thesis also includes definition of the most important risks related to mortgage loan, connection with real estate market, importance of property lien and forms of national financial aid of financing housing. At the conclusion of the thesis illustrative case showing choice of appropriate mortgage loan is mentioned.
Analysis of systemic risk in the context of the financial systems stability surveillance

Diploma thesis deals with the issue of systemic risk and its impact on the financial system. In terms of the explanation of the individual regularities analyses principles of systemic risk and its impact on the financial sector. The first part of this work is dedicated to a complex analysis of the systemic risk sources and a description of different measurement methods among others also dedicated to detection of systemically important institutions. The analytical part demonstrates an application of one of the model for systemic risk measurement on the real data from the United States of America between years 1990 and 2011 and the analysis of the newly adopted Dodd-Frank Act regulation. The main merit of this work is to describe and evaluate the complex perspective of the systemic risk, which is a prerequisite for its successful application and management.
The Use of Financial Derivatives in the Czech Commercial Banking

The thesis concerns with the issues of financial derivatives and their use in the Czech banking sector. The introductory part contains essence of derivatives, their categorization (including characterization of particular types), ways of their usage and risks related with them. The main part of the thesis is focused on analysis of evolution of derivatives contracts in the Czech banking and also in chosen bank. The possible future evolution of the Czech derivatives market is also outlined.
