Dining etiquette

The aim is to find out how the subject of Dining etiquette is taught at selected secondary schools and universities and what is its knowledge among students of these schools. Hypotheses set out in this work are: H1: Teaching table etiquette at Czech secondary schools is not big enough and sufficient. H2: Knowledge of students is not sufficient. The work consists of a theoretical part, which focuses on defining basic terms such as dining or label and on the very topic of table etiquette. In the practical part will analyze the selected schools and compiled a distibuován questionnaire among selected respondents.
Industrial Heritage in Ostrava CityTourism

The aim of the work is to analyze a specific technical monument in Ostrava in the context of its influence on tourism. The chosen monument is an industrial area Dolní Vítkovice which was declared as a national cultural monument and European Heritage and belongs to the Czech Tentative List for inscription on the World Heritage List UNESCO. Theoretical part of this work deals with tourism in the Czech Republic and in Ostrava and also with industrial heritage definition and classification, its restoration, historic preservation and how to integrate industrial heritage into tourism.
Religious tourism in European Union focusing on Slovakia

Bachelor thesis presents and generalizes theoretical and practical knowledge of religious tourism. The theoretical part of the work brings knowledge of religious tourism in the European Union and on the position of the religious tourism in tourism in Slovakia. In the next section presents the most important places of pilgrimage of the western, central and eastern Slovakia. The practical part of the thesis presents results of a suvey based on the questionnaire, I examine the awareness, interest and experience to the general public on this issue.
The life in Třebíč after being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The main aim of the bachelors thesis is to analyse and evaluate the influence of adding the sights-basilica st. Procopius, the Jewish Quarter and the Jewish cemetery on the life in Třebíč. The theoretical part focuses on cultural tourism and the UNESCO organisation. This section also describes tourism in the Czech republic and compares three UNESCO sites located in the Vysočina region. In the practical part are analysed changes in the town 13 years after being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in different points of view, which are focused on cultural events regarding the celebration of UNESCO sights and jewish community, on changes in appereance of the town and new businesses. This part deals with promotion of the Třebíč and evaluate the number of visitors of the sights as well. The bachelors thesis involves the questionnaire research.
Dining traits of the elderly in tourism

The main goal of this diploma thesis is to perform an analysis on how dining needs of mature travellers are accomodated by chosen service providers. Based on the analysis the thesis evaluates the ability of the providers to individually tailor their services to mature guests. Subsequently, certain proposals for improvement are formulated. The analysis is performed on the four providers: an international cruise line specialised in elderly travels and three hotels situated in Prague. The thesis is composed of four parts. The first two parts serve as an introduction to the segment of mature travellers - their needs are identified and explained, also their travelling motivations are revealed. Last two parts are devoted to analysis of the services, summarization of the results and improvement proposals.
Importance of volunteerism as a possibility of help for heritage of Czech Republic

The goal of this thesis is to determine how important is volunteer work on cultural heritage for its owners. Importance of this work was determined by comparison of two groups of workers, volunteers and ordinary employee. I have compared their costs, efficiency and i have also observe possible alternative impacts of volunteer work. While processing this topic I take in account value of cultural heritage for tourism. I concluded, that volunteer work can be regarded as important help for owners of cultural heritage of Czech Republic, in terms of finance and also it has possitive effects on its promotion.
The potencial of geolocation games in tourism

The bachelor thesis is concerned with satellite navigation systems and with the potencial of geolocation games. The theoretical part focuses on GPS and its use and on other satellite navigation systems. The practical part focuses on different geolocation games, the most on the czech game Geofun, which is used by many cities in the Czech republic and got several awards.
Renewal and management of the castle Olešná

This master thesis is focused on the renewal of the castle Olešná and its further comercial and cultural utilisation. In 2013 the castle was bought by its current owners who plan its complete renewal. The castle is currently in bad condition. First part of the thesis concentrates on theory. It offres definition of cultural tourism, part of which is the visit of castles. Further on, the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic and its protection is defined. Second part of the thesis is focused on assessing the current state of the monument and its importance for the tourism in Rakovnicko region. The main object is to propose specific suggestions for future management of the castle.
Potential of less known attractions of region Kolínsko for tourism development

Bachelor thesis is focused on less known natural and historical attractions in the region Kolínsko and on their potential in tourism development. The theoretical part concerns theoretical starting points and analysis of tourism in Central Bohemian Region. It focuses mainly on the definition of the tourism and the characteristic of Central Bohemian Region and region Kolínsko. The practical part presents an overview of natural and historical attractions and analyzes selected attractions in terms of their current use and further potential. One of the elements of this part is processing of the research. The aim is to assess the potential of selected attractions and to come up with concept for their involvement in tourism. This thesis should make readers acquainted with the current state of attractions in region Kolínsko and broaden the awareness about the issue and new attraction involvement in tourism of region Kolínsko.
Newly declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe in relation to tourism

This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of the situation in the area of newly declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites from 2000 to 2010 in Spain and France and on the influence of this declaration on local tourism. Next aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate websites of selected World Heritage Sites and rewies from the point of view of visitors.
