Competitiveness of Czech republic within the context of Europe 2020 strategy

Bachelor´s thesis deals with examination, comparison and analysis of the indicators of Europe 2020 strategy and the Europe 2020 Competitiveness Index in the period of the beginning of strategy implementation in 2010 till 2016. Thesis is divided into two compact parts. First, the theoretical one includes explanation of the term "competitiveness", characteristics of the Europe 2020 strategy and methodology of weighing national competitiveness regarding the model Europe 2020 of World Economic Forum. Second, the practical one is divided into two articles. First article dedicates to observation and analysis of the causes of progress towards the strategy goals acheived by Czech republic and European Union. Second article is dedicated to analysis of the competitiveness of EU and Czech republic according to mentioned model and to comparison with the countries of Visegrád Group as well. The last pasrt of the thesis contains an outcome of the facts found, list of the tables, images and graphs.
Comparison of price levels on the countries of Visegrad group after joining the European Union

BOČKORIKOVÁ, Bernadeta: Comparison of price levels on the countries of Visegrad group after joining the European Union. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the evolution of different price levels in the countries of the Visegrad Four after joining the European Union and to identify the reasons of the differences. The theoretical part of the thesis defines inflation, describes the possibilities and ways of measuring inflation and briefly describes the consequences of inflation. In this part, there are analysis of the composition consumer basket for each country of the Visegrad Four. Compared are the differences in the structure of consumer price index ant the harmonized index of consumer prices. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the comparison of the price level in the perion of years 2004-2016. Development of the annual inflation rate for each country is explained by annual rate of changes of selected sectors of the consumer basket.
The impact of the automotive industry on the selected macroeconomic indicators of the economy of the Slovak Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to investigate and analyze the position and influence of the automotive industry on the selected macroeconomic indicators of economy of the Slovak Republic. This work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the position and significance of the automotive industry for the Slovak economy along with the characterization of selected macroeconomic indicators. In the practical part, I mean specific macroeconomic indicators (GDP, unemployment, foreign trade), which analyze the data obtained from the Slovak Statistical Office and EUROSTAT. Consequently, I examine the importance of automotive production in Slovakia through changes in the macroeconomic indicators in a given time period.
Performance analysis of non-financial companies within the business cycle

This bachelor s thesis deals with analysis of the relationship between performance of non-financial companies and macroeconomic factors. There will be presented several important factors and the aim is to find factors that significantly influence the performance of non-financial companies. The theoretical part of this paper will outline how macroeconomic factors can affect non-financial companies. In the next part, these hypotheses will be examined. The basic method used for this analysis will be regression analysis. Due to the regression analysis, it will be possible to determine which factors influence performance.
Consumer expenses of Czech and Slovak households on concrete goods after admission into the European Union

The thesis researches alcoholic beverages and tobacco consumption expenses development with Czech and Slovak households after admission of the two republics into the EU. In the first, theoretical part, specific terms, methodology and respective indicators are explained. The practical part is devoted to selected goods consumption expenses development analysis in the years 2004-2016. In the end of the practical part, contributions on total consumptions of Slovakia and the Czech Republic are compared. It is concluded in the thesis that the consumption of researched goods is not sensitive to price changes.
The evaluation of the use of EU structural funds in the Central Bohemia Region in the period 2007 - 2013

My bachelor work deals with the evaluation of the use of EU structural funds in the Central Bohemia Region within the Regional Operational Program in Cohesion Region of Central Bohemia in the period 2007 - 2013. The description of the strategy and objectives of the program, the characteristics of the individual priority axes and areas of intervention during the subsidy system are given in the theoretical part. The practical part deals with the development of the use of structural funds in the Central Bohemia Region, where overall results achieved within the Regional Operational Program in Cohesion Region of Central Bohemia both from financial and technical point of view are evaluated. An analysis of the fulfillment of monitoring indicators at the level of priority axes and comparing actual results with expected targets in the program documents follows. In the final part an actual effects and impacts of program implementation on the population of the entire region of Central Bohemia are analyzed. The results of the Regional Operational Program in Cohesion Region of Central Bohemia and the comparison with other operational programs in the programming period 2007 - 2013 are given. There is also the evaluation of one of the failed projects and one of the most successful applicants on the contrary. The examples of completed projects are given.

The Czech Republic after joining the European Union - changes in competitiveness

This thesis deals with changes in competitiveness of the Czech Republic after joining the European Union. The goal of the thesis is to analyse the methodology of measuring competitiveness by The World Economic Forum using multi-criteria evaluation and to compare changes in competitiveness of the Czech Republic after joining EU. The theoretical part describes the idea of competitiveness in microeconomics and macroeconomics. I mention the strategies concerning with competitiveness and institutions which measure national competitiveness. In practical part I research each pillar of the Global Competitiveness Report 2015-16 and 2010-11, analyse and compare them. I compare the score also with diameter of advanced economies.
Macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic after admission to the European Union

The thesis deals with the analysis of macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic after admission to the European Union. Attention is also paid to development of gross domestic product and its structure. The thesis also mentions the interpretive limitations of GDP and some alternative indicators. Macroeconomic development of the Czech Republic and Slovakia

Bachelor´s thesis is focused on the development of the Czech Republic and Slovakia after joining the European Union in comparison with the other economies of the Visegrad Four. It examines primarily indicator of GDP. The thesis also deals with the process of real convergence to the EU-28 and with factors that have an influence on it, such as labour productivity, employment and unemployment but the influence of population aging or population education is also mentioned. Subsequently, the thesis analyses nominal convergence in the countries of the Visegrad Four.
