Automatic Video Colorization

This thesis deals with fully automatic colorization of video and images using convolutional neural networks. It summarizes existing approaches, architectures and several objective functions. In this thesis several neural networks with different objective functions are implemented and trained for automatic colorization. The best of them is able to colorize large diversity of scenes and is sufficient to produce coherently colorized video.
The first Přemyslids in didactic applications

(English) The theme of this thesis is to present the time and life of the first Premyslids and to create didactic material for teaching. The didactic material is designed, created and dedicated to teachers of history and history and all students. The work is divided into two parts. The first part, entitled The First Premyslids and their time, is theoretical and deals with the first Premyslids and their time. The first rulers of the Přemyslid family and their relatives are described in detail. The times in which they lived and ruled are described, as well as various aspects of everyday life at the time. The second, practical part, called History at Play, is devoted to didactics and practical activities that will be used in teaching 4th and 7th grade primary school. The research and devising of didactic applications included, in addition to studying the literature, comparing textbook texts, attending listening sessions, consulting with colleagues and carrying out teaching practice. The transformation of the teaching of the First Republic in the 20th and 21st centuries in Czech and Slovak textbooks

This work aims to compare Czech and Slovak primary school textbooks used in the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on the First Republic period. The comparison evaluates the content and form of the textbooks based on five specific topics. Additionalyy, the work includes an interpretation of the First Republic in the 1920s, a comparison of the educational programs between the observed period and previous years, an analysis of school educational programs, a description of teaching resources, and a questionnaire survey. Terezín diaries in project teaching

This Diploma thesis deals with the use of diaries from the Terezín Ghetto in project teaching. Their use should be made through a series of worksheets designed for project teaching. The benefits and success of worksheets were tested on several groups of elementary and secondary schools. The first chapter is devoted to theoretical introduction to the issue of projects and project-based teaching, the following chapter discusses the history of Terezín, the third chapter deals with the Terezín diaries and their authors, in the fourth chapter are placed excerpts of diaries with the relevant historical context. Into the last chapter are included worksheets created on the basis of excerpts from the diaries, their solutions and evaluation for their success by students. The last pages are devoted to the work attachment list and a list of references and online resources. The work demonstrates that diaries are a good source for creating worksheets about everyday life in the Terezín Ghetto and that they bring to learning new ways of work and wider view of the issues being discussed.
Pupils with different mother tongue and history teaching

The thesis deals with the issue of pupils with a different mother tongue and the difficulties they face in learning history. The theoretical part includes topics that affect pupils with different mother tongue in teaching, such as the legislation of the Czech Republic, the number of pupils with a different mother tongue in Czech Republic in terms of nationality, the current state of knowledge in the field of education of pupils with different mother tongue in the field of history. I also deal with the teaching subject of history and its specifics with regard to the given issue. The practical part includes a questionnaire survey among history teachers, which maps their experiences of teaching pupils with different mother tongue. The main focus of the practical part is a qualitative investigation among several history teachers and their pupils, conducted through interviews. The paper concludes with methodological recommendations for history teachers when working with pupils with different mother tongue. Comparison of chosen Czech and German secondary school history textbooks focusing on the expulsion of German population after World War II and its didactic concept

This thesis deals with a comparison of selected Czech and German secondary school history textbooks with a focus on the topic of the expulsion of the German population after World War II. The theoretical part is devoted to the characteristics of the school systems of both countries (in the case of the Federal Republic of Germany using the example of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia), the subject of history in Czech and German curricular documents and content in the selected textbooks. In the next chapter, the textbooks are analysed from the point of view of the presentation of the content in verbal and illustrative form, as well as from the point of view of the apparatus of orientation and management of the acquisition of the subject matter. This is followed by a chapter on the historical background of Czech-German relations. The analytical part of the thesis includes the content and understanding of the topic in Czech and German textbooks, an analysis of the working parts of the textbooks and a questionnaire survey. Use of audiovisual Equipment, Museum Pedagogy and Literature in the Teaching of Geography

His master's thesis I've divided into three parts, theoretical, practical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with the teaching of geography, educational technology and teaching aids, museum pedagogy, individual educational specificities of schools and museums and how should cooperation look like, what role in it plays the personality of the museum educator and what it is for a school and a museum benefit. And last but not least the literature, which is in my opinion an important element in the teaching of geography. In the practical part, I have described a realization of a project in which it is used didactic technology, a collaboration with the museum and work with literature. The empirical part is focused on research in basic schools in the field of educational technology. The key concepts on which the research is based, such as: modern didactic techniques, working with modern educational technology, the perception of educational technology as a means to the realization of the teaching.
