The analysis of intertextual references in John Fowles´s novel The Collector

This bachelor thesis focuses on the intertextual cross references in the postmodern novel of John Fowles, The Collector. The thesis deals with the author´s biography and it also briefly describes his work. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the comparative analysis of The Collector and the works which John Fowles refers to in his novel. The analysis concentrates on the main characters and their links to the protagonists from other works. It also compares the attitudes "to be" and "to have," which are implied even by the title of The Collector. The thesis concentrates on close reading and on the individual interpretation.
Occurance and Transmission of COVID-19 among Healthcare workers

Healthcare professionals have been considered since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic as high risk group of population due to their work. Healthcare professionals have faced many risk factors in the work environment, that have had a negative impact on their physical and mental health, reducing their quality of life. The Master's thesis evaluated the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on various aspects of the health of health care workers depending on selected socio-economic parameters through a questionnaire survey. The subject of the Master's thesis research was also the risk of nosocomial transmission of COVID-19 infection to health care workers. The analysis found that health care for patients with confirmed COVID-19 infection is provided the most common by medical doctors. However, workers working in other medical positions and other facility workers have the highest odds of becoming infected. It was also found that healthcare professionals had a different approach to the use of PPE during high-risk contact with a co-worker or patient who was confirmed to have COVID-19. The results of the thesis describe the risk factors of the work environment of health professionals, which affect the risk of infection, the severity of the disease and the state of mental health. Pupil with communication disorders in preparatory class

The bachelor thesis "Pupils with Communication Disorders in Preparatory Classes" analyses the issues of preparatory classes. It develops the competences of school readiness and preparedness. The thesis summarizes the speech development as a basis for the diagnosis of communication disorders. It declares the positive effects of preparatory classes on the development of communication skills of children with postponed school entry in the region of Prague 9. The thesis proves the need to include children with communication disorders into preparatory classes. It offers the possibility to the parents of children attending preparatory classes to express their opinions on the functioning of these classes. It informs parents of preschool children in the region of Prague-East about the existence of preparatory classes and it monitors the level of parents' awareness. A mixed-method research is applied in the study. It combines a quantitative method - a questionnaire - and qualitative methods - structured dialogues and case studies. In the conclusion of the thesis practical recommendations are offered: amendment of the Education Act and the implementation of school-readiness testing at the beginning and at the end of the school year. Transmitted diseases are generally well controlled. A high level of immunization has been reached and preserved as well. Despite the falling prevalence of schistosomoiasis in the last few years, it remains together with hepatitis and tuberculosis a significant problem of public health. Heath of mothers and children are still a problem. Maternity mortality and neonatal mortality are still high. Not transmitted diseases are increasing, concerning cardiovascular, metabolic, chest-trouble and malignant tumour. The most often malignity is tumour of breast, liver, urinary bladder and lymphoma. Colon tumours are increasing. An important role in mortality plays accidents. About 1, 2% of the whole population is blind, mainly as a consequence of a cataract or a granular lid that is still quite common in some areas. The importance of diseases connected with lifestyle is increasing. Smoking, too much alcohol, fat and sweet nurture, lack of exercise, not using safety belts in cars and not observing traffic regulations participate in total mortality and sickness rate. Role of Preparatory Class in the Intervention for Specific Learning disabilities

The aim of the thesis "Role of preparatory classes in prevention of specific learning disabilities" is to compare intervention of kindergarten and elementary school preparratory classes during suspension of school attendance. It describes all the kinds of specific learning disabilities. It works out in detail diagnostics of specific learning disabilities risk factors from the special education perspective. It offers integral methodology for time undemanding orientational testing of specific learning disabilities risk factors for preschool children. This methodology was used for testing children with suspended school attendance at the start of a school year and in A March of the same school year.
