Cross-curricular theme "Forest" and forest pedagogy as one of the possibilities of its realization

Cross-curricular themes are important formative elements of education. A forest ecosystem is an environment with great importance and potential, and knowledge of forest ecosystem, processes taking place in it and human activities associated with it can be included in many educational areas. By combining these two phenomena we gain cross- curricular theme "Forest". A possible instrument for realization this theme is the forest pedagogy. In the theoretical part of the work is the term cross-curricular theme delineated and defined in general and also specifically on the example of cross-curricular theme "Forest". About the forest ecosystem are given knowledge that contribute to spreading the results of forestry research and to modernization of teaching about the forest ecosystem at elementary and secondary schools. The forest pedagogy is introduced as an instrument that can significantly contributes to deepen the learning points about "Forest" and its presentation as cross-curricular theme. The role of multilingualism in Czech language courses for Erasmus+ students

Multilingualism is currently a much discussed topic, especially abroad. The objective of this thesis is to examine whether and eventually how multilingualism affects the process of learning Czech as a second language within Erasmus+ language courses. The language skills of both the lecturers and the students of these courses meet the EU language policy requirement to master at least two foreign languages. In the theoretical framework of the thesis, the terms multilingualism and bilingualism are explained, citing mainly foreign scholarly literature. The focus is then shifted to the EU language policy and the current state of research into multilingualism in language teaching. In the last part of the theoretical framework, multilingualism didactics and the communicative approach are introduced. The chief data source for the following empirical research are audio recordings of Czech language courses for Erasmus+ students of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. The data gathered from the classes are then analyzed and interpreted, with a focus on the manifestations of multilingualism. Gender adaptation in the new Czech loanwords from the field of gastronomy

This bachelor thesis monitors 10 expressions from gastronomy field (kimchi, açaí, guacamole, brownies, tofu, quinoa, portobello, panini, pho and tapioca) as well as their spelling or morphological variations. Recently, these expressions can be more and more observed in Czech vocabulary and they tend to steady in different forms such as pronunciation, grammar, morphology or in terms of its meaning. The aim of this work is to observe morphological adaptation of those expressions, mainly of their grammatical gender. Within the observed expressions, the impact on adaptation and other aspects of those expressions, which are having influence on incorporation into morphological system, are also watched. The theoretical part sums up the conception of action during the adaptation of adopted nouns in different Czech grammar books and relevant works. In practical part, the corpus analysis (carried out in syn_v6 corpus) of given expressions is described. Therefore, this work is partial contribution to the topic of incorporation of foreign expressions into Czech language along with the monitoring of lexicon from the modern gastronomy field.
