The Contemporary State of Music Education for Children of a Young School Age in the Countries of the EU

The author represents in her diploma thesis contemporary pedagogical trends in music education of children at primary schools. She is engaged in characteristics of children's perception, psychological bases of musicalness and she mentions the basic musical activities at present, which is characterized by the changes in content and in form. She puts this characteristics to the context of the European efforts to find common intersections in pedagogy and education. She presents the work ot the most significant national, European and world organizations for the development of music culture and education of the children and youth. The centre of this thesis is a mission of the European Association EAS in Prague. In the practical part the author deals with a research of music education in some European countries. At the end of this work there is the evaluation of these researches. This thesis is connected with the problems of a globalization and identity in the areas of music education and culture.
Connection Between Attitude Toward Music of Parents and Their Children

This bachelor thesis is focused on connection between attitude toward music of parents and their children. The goal of the thesis was a questionnaire survey on the sample of adolescent population and their parents, analysis of results and evaluation of hypotheses. 123 pupils of secondary school, 94 fathers and 120 mothers took part in research. Pupils and their parents filled in the questionnaires that were subsequently conjugated and analyzed concerning the connections between them. Hypotheses supposed significant parents' influence toward their children in selfassessment of musical skills, parents' musical experience affecting children musical education and finaly indirect effect of parents on children's musical preferences. Findings of research indicate stronger alliance between mothers' musical attitudes and attitudes of children. In spite of common perception, which supposes deep generation gap between children and their parents in the field of music, research results indicate, that parents and children often accept their favourite music respectivelly, or at least they know it. However, it is impossible to assert, that children simply copy music attitudes of their parents. Comparison of Systems of Music Education and Training in Selected European Countries

The author compares music-educational systems of selected European countries in her diploma thesis. After thorough study of available expert literature, she realizes a research in three thematic fields: the current state of Music at lower secondary schools, present-day needs of university students majoring in Music and suggestions of EAS national coordinators on improving the quality of music student teachers' training. The research was carried out with music teachers at lower secondary schools, with university music students and with EAS national coordinators, who are university music pedagogues as well. On the basis of her research results, she comments on working hypotheses. The thesis is an up-to-date view of current problems on music education and culture in European countries. It invites music pedagogues to cooperation in solving joint music-pedagogical problems and it brings valuable stimuli for music-educational practice.
People's habits and their impementing in the music activities in a nursery school

This diploma thesis is focused on possibillities of using the people's habits in music activities in nursery schools and their influence the development of music abilities. It brings the outline of the religious holidays in the course of the year. The thesis explores the use of people's habits in musical activities in kindegartens and the suggestions of the possible solutions how to apply people's habits in musical activities have been outlined based on this research.
Respect for the specifics of musical development of preschool

Precis: The thesis, research was at nursery school. Dealt with identifying whether they are respected musical development specific of preschool children. The research method used was a questionnaire survey, direkt observation, as well as an interview method of analysis and class documents. The research focused on levels of some factors that that affect compliance with specific set of development and implementation of the resulting needs. In particular, the level of professional competence and teacher influence speciffic knowledge of musical development of preschool age in their respect. Furthermore, as the criteria were examined and the classroom teacher created the conditions that enable compliance with specific musical development of preschool children.
