The Process of Recruiting and Selecting Machine Mechanics in Production

The aim of the thesis is to identify and systematize the process of recruiting and selecting employees for the position of machine mechanic in production. Attention is focused on general starting points in the field of filling jobs process, recruitment and selection of employees. Subsequently, the job position of a machine mechanic in production and its general competencies are defined. Then, the specifics of recruiting and selecting production machine mechanics are characterized, which are based on the starting points of recruiting and selecting employees, but at the same time reflect the specifics of the position of machine mechanics in production. The empirical investigation was conducted in the organization LEGO Production, s. r. o., and was implemented by analyzing the organization's documentation on the process of recruiting and selecting employees and subsequent semi-structured interviews with informants. The Role of Non-profits Organization Workers in Integration of Immigrants to the Czech Society

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze how workers and volunteers of non-profit organizations reflect their own role in the integration of immigrants into Czech society and how they perceive the broader benefits of these organizations. The work focuses on workers and volunteers of non-profit organizations in the field of integration of foreigners, whose services include educational activities. The target group of these services are adult immigrants and, at the same time, representatives of the majority society (teachers, social workers, officials, etc.). For the purposes of the thesis, the organizations selected are those that work with adult immigrants, provide counselling and educational services, are based (or have a branch) in Prague and have a volunteer program. First, the thesis focuses on the state of immigration and its development in the territory of the Czech Republic and on the migration and integration policy of the Czech Republic. Then the topic of the non-profit sector and non-profit organizations is introduced, followed by a section of volunteering and motivation for volunteering, as well as mentoring and group programs for foreigners. Support for Employees of Czech Armed Forces with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder after the Return from a Millitary Mission

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the forms of assistance provided by the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic to employees with post-traumatic stress disorder after returning from a foreign mission. First, the attention is paid to the characteristics of post-traumatic stress disorder and its treatment. Then the text focuses on foreign missions, what precedes them and what follows after returning home. Next, the thesis elaborates on the topic of post-traumatic stress disorder within employees of the Army of the Czech Republic and focuses on help after returning from a foreign mission and treatment for employees with post-traumatic stress disorder. Part of the thesis is empirical research; the aim was to find out what forms of treatment are used by employees of the Czech Army with post-traumatic stress disorder. Four areas were examined, namely, the specifics of participation in a foreign mission and the diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, the choice of the form of treatment to an employee with post-traumatic stress disorder, the evaluation of the form of assistance used by an employee with post-traumatic stress disorder and the barriers to the used forms of treatment by an employee with post-traumatic stress disorder and their suggestion of solutions to specific barriers. The Influence of the Physical Attractiveness of Job Applicants on Success in the Selection Process

5 Abstract The subject of interest of the present thesis is the discrimination of physically less attractive job applicants in the selection process in organizations. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the potential impact of physical attractiveness of female job applicants on their success in the selection process in organisations. The thesis includes a total of four theoretical chapters that deal with job analysis and description and employee qualification profiles; analysis of job applicant files as a method of employee selection; physical attractiveness and common characteristics of physically attractive individuals; and discrimination against physically less attractive job applicants. The thesis also includes a quantitative empirical research to examine the effect of physical attractiveness of job applicants on the likelihood of being invited for a selection interview. A total of 39 participants, both male and female employees, who have experience of recruitment in organisations, took part in the empirical research. The task of the participants was to select fictitious structured CVs including attached photographs of the job applicants in relation to the job being offered. Factors for Agile Transformation in Banking Sector

The aim of the thesis is to identify factors of agile transformation in the banking sector. Agile management has been a discussed topic in recent years. The thesis presents the history of agile software development on which agile management of organizations is based. Agile development emerged in response to traditional development that had a lengthy process and did not meet customer requirements. Next, the Agile Manifesto, which is the foundational document of agile management, is introduced. Then the values and principles of agile management are defined. Selected agile management methods are elaborated which are Extreme Programming, Kanban, Lean software and Scrum and agile scaling frameworks which extend agile methods in such a way that they can be applied in large organizations. The thesis also focuses on the circumstances for which organizations choose to undertake an agile transformation, elaborating on its process and factors. Factors are the factors that influence the success of agile transformation. Employers' Attitudes to Older Workers

The thesis aims to analyze employers' attitudes towards employing people over 55. The thesis focuses on the position of older employees in the labor market in terms of the trend of population aging and strategic documents concerning the employment of older workers. It also focuses on the most common characteristics of older workers, the organizational contexts of their employment, and employers' attitudes toward older workers. Furthermore, an empirical investigation is provided to identify employers' attitudes towards older workers in five industrial organizations in the South Bohemia region. Subsequently, qualitative research is conducted through semi-structured interviews with the heads of HR departments. The areas of discrimination in the workplace, specificities of older workers, strategic approach to the age structure of workers, working conditions, and intergenerational learning in the workplace are monitored. The results show many of employers' attitudes aligned with theoretical bases and research but also neglected areas, especially the strategic management of the age structure of the employees. A Comparison of the Incidence of Burnout Symptoms among High School Teachers in Traditional and Alternative Education

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the comparison of the incidence of burnout symptoms among teachers in traditional and alternative high schools and the identification of possible connections of any differences. The topic of work stress and burnout is introduced, including stress management and self-care strategies and the specifics of teacher burnout. Then, traditional and alternative schools are defined and selected alternative school conceptions existing in the Czech Republic at the high school level are presented. Based on the similarities between the individual conceptions, the specifics of the work of teachers at alternative schools compared to traditional schools are subsequently identified in the thesis. In the context of the differences between alternative schools and traditional ones, the thesis then returns to the topic of teacher burnout and focuses on current research. The thesis contains an empirical research project, the goal of which is to compare the incidence of burnout among teachers working in traditional and alternative high schools. Symptoms of burnout among teachers were assessed using the Copenhagen burnout inventory (CBI) questionnaire. The diploma thesis deals with the identification of psychological factors of working from home. Attention is focused on alternative working hours, then the subject of home office, its development, forms and the current situation of its use in the Czech Republic. At the same time, attention is focused on the positives and negatives of alternative working hours, especially home office. The thesis identifies individual, work and family and home psychological factors of working from home. Furthermore, the diploma thesis examines the specifics of different generations of employees in relation to the psychological factors of home office. The aim of the empirical investigation is to identify the influence of psychological factors on home office of representatives of all generations of employees performing mainly administrative activities in small, medium and large organizations in Prague. The respondents were representatives of all generations currently present on the labour market.
