Social policy of the EU and its impact on czech legislation

The dissertation "Social policy of the EU and its impact on czech legislation" is dealing with the problem of the European social policy, as a policy with shared competences (that means that there are shared competences - between national states and it's authorities and the EU 's authorities), and it's increasing impact on the czech legislation. This growing influence of EU's authorities and EU primary and secondary law is caused by the czech EU membership (originated in 2004). In this dissertation, there were set two main goals. First of these two aims is to find out, in whitch scale is the czech legislation influenced by European Union's law, especially in the field of social policy. The second aim is to present particular changes and modifications of czech nation law, caused by the EU secondary law - by the regulations and implemented directives. The research methods used in this dissertation were: The European primary law analysis, witch led to the findings about the scale of EU authorities competences, in sence of czech national law transformation. The second half of this dissertation used the method of comparison. There were compared two labour law codes - the labour law code number 65/1965 and labour law code number 262/2006. Citizens' participation in the public administration of the municipality Oldřichov

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint the reader with the issues of public administration and selfgovernment in the Czech Republic, more specifically with the area of municipality citizens participation in the administration of the municipality. The first chapter focuses on the definition of the basic concepts concerning public administration, their legal background and related legislature. The second and third chapters deal more in depth with the issues of self-government, municipality and with the variety of forms of citizens participation in the administration of a municipality. The reader shall get acquainted with the range of possibilities for citizens parttaking in the administration and function of a municipality, either in an active or a passive form, with the legal background of these ways and their purpose in the process of selfgovernment. The goal of the fourth chapter is to, through a case study, show how the abovementioned means of active or passive participation of citizens in the government of a municipality are used in a specific area Oldřichov u Písku. Apart from that, the purpose of this thesis is to interpret the result of the case study and try to deduce its causes.
Coordination of social security systems on the EU level

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the coordination of social security systems on the EU level. The thesis firstly deals with the European union itself, its historical development and present form. Further, the thesis is concerned with the rudimentary partition of the EU law and competences, including the areas of their effect and the basic legislation of the social area in the EU treaties. In the second part, the thesis pursues the means of coordination, onto which people and under what circumstances can the coordination rules be applied. Furthermore, the fundamental principles of coordination are going to be introduced and explained in this part, as well as the Regulations themselves and the general application of coordination rules on different social benefits. The third chapter focuses on the European Court of Justice and the definition of its structure and tasks within the EU and moreover the analysis of individual judgements of ECJ related to social security coordination.
Czech Republic security system financing - compared to Slovak Republic

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is an introduction of the social security system financing in the Czech Republic. To fulfil the main aim, the thesis focuses on explanation of the terms connected to the social security such as: social state, social politics and social security. The thesis refers about the structure of the social security system in the Czech Republic in the first chapter. The second chapter generally describes the models, methods and ways of social security system financing. The main aim of this chapter and of the thesis is a description of the social security system financing in the Czech Republic. The thesis fulfils the sub-aim in the third charter, which is a comparison of the system in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The thesis looks for the similarities and differences.
Family policy in Sweden - Comparison with the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the Swedish and Czech family policy and to evaluate the functionality of these policies. The first chapter offers a general explanation of concepts related to social policy and provides a theoretical basis for the whole thesis. The thesis is then devoted primarily to the family benefits provided by the Kingdom of Sweden and their comparison with Czech family benefits. Finally, the thesis evaluates the functionality of the systems and presents some recommendations for the Czech Republic.

Poverty and its solution within the social security system

The focus of this bachelor's thesis is the problem of poverty and historical development of its solution in the area of today's Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part of thesis defines the term "poverty" and describes its types and also the most frequent causations. The second chapter intercepts gradual evolution of the solution to poverty in the Czech area and defines the most important instruments in particular eras. The third part provides a description of the current applicable legislation. The last chapter evaluates this applicable legislation and outlines potential effective changes and amendments. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the applicable legislation and to make an attempt to find and recommend useful changes in current system, taking into consideration the potential use of a former "hometown law".
Comparison of social insurance of employees and the self-employed in Czech republic

The topic of the thesis is the comparison of social insurance of employees and self-employed in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is about social security in general. The second one analyses the various types of insurance from the perspective of employees and from the perspective of the self-employed in the third part. The fourth chapter presents a comparison of the insurance for both subjects, and the fifth chapter summarizes the social security and proposes suggestions de lege ferenda. The aim of the thesis is to make a systematic comparison and evaluation of insurance systems for both subjects and to highlight the diversity and identity of both systems. The second aim is to propose changes in insurance legislation for each one or for both subjects, to equalize the conditions for both subjects. Changes are based on a previous comparison and on the differences, which were highlighted.
