Concrete structures with FRP reinforcement
Valent, Matej ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the usage of FRP reinforcement in concrete structure designs. The designed structure is a sedimentation reservoir that consists of two prefabricated segments. The construction is classified into the XC4 exposure category. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview and explains particular types of FRP reinforcement, their properties, and mechanical durability. We describe GFRP reinforcement and its design for bending and shear, consecutively providing different approaches in a plan for a short-term or long-term carrying capacity. The experimental part of the thesis contains two alternatives. The first application involves B500B reinforcement in both prefabricated segments, while the second part, it is using Schöck ComBAR® reinforcement instead. Moreover, both possibilities and their design take into consideration the ultimate limit state. Subsequently, the obtained results are compared. The experimental part of the thesis includes calculations as well as drawings documentation.
Design of concrete structures reinforced with non-metallic FRP reinforcement
Golisová, Michaela ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis investigates the design of concrete structures reinforced with non-metallic FRP reinforcement with a focus on solving the bearing capacity in extrusion. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part begins with an introduction to FRP reinforcement and a description of shear stress. The following is an introduction to current approaches dealing with this issue. In the practical part, in connection with these regulations, parametric studies are developed to compare the influence of individual input parameters and selected regulations. The last part is dedicated to the design and nonlinear analysis performed in the ATENA software.
Use of composite materials for the design of concrete structures
Vašátko, David ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
Composite reinforcement tends to be perspective material for construction reinforcing. Its application is suitable especially for areas with high level of environmental stress, or environment loaded with physical phenomenon. This thesis is focused on inner FRP reinforcement. Theoretical part deals with mode of production, types of used materials, behavior depending on stress type and different approaches towards designing for short-term or long-term load capacity of composite reinforcement. Practical part includes assessment of precast element, dealing with requirement of non-magnetic reinforcement. Assessment is designed with two alternatives, each of them differing in type of main load-bearing reinforcement. First one works with stainless steel reinforcement, the second one with GFRP one.
Assessment of the load-bearing capacity of selected concrete structure detail using different design approaches
Koriťáková, Martina ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with processing of method of determining the load-bearing capacity of elements subjected to shear force according to three different approaches. It includes design and subsequent assesment of the frame beam with variable cross-section according to individual approaches and corresponding drawing documentation. Coparison of individual approache is also performed by using a parametric study.
Design of concrete structures using modern composite materials
Badány, Kristián ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Kostiha, Vojtěch (advisor)
In the first part, this work deals with basic information about non-metallic reinforcement and its general design, in the second part the prefabricated supporting wall is assessed. The support wall is designed in several variants: in the first variant for classical reinforcement reinforcement and in other variants it is for composite reinforcement. The entry of the support structure is the same for all variants. Calculation is processed by Fib Bulletin No. 40 and complies with ČSN EN.
Design of concrete structures reinforced with FRP reinforcement
Bártová, Denisa ; Januš, Ondřej (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of a FRP reinforced concrete structure. The structure is a two way floor slab designed in two ways. The first one is typically reinforced concrete; in the second, the upper reinforcement is replaced with a FRP reinforcement. Ultimately, both variations are compared at the end. The floor structure is located in exposure class XD1. The thesis includes a structural design as well as drawings. All calculations were performed in accordance with Eurocode 2 and Fib. Bulletin No. 40.
Design of concrete structures with FRP reinforcement
Januš, Ondřej ; Girgle, František (referee) ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis presents design of construction with FRP reinforcement. Including design process of cross-section with FRP reinforcement exposed to bending moment and shear force at ultimate limite state according to given standards and guidelines. Long term physical and mechanical properties of FRPs are taking into account. There are also compared load capacities of cross-section exposed to combination of bending moment and axial force, which were designed according to mentioned standards. In another part of diploma thesis there is a design of construction (precast gatehouse) with FRP reinforcement and steel reinforcement with ordinary and lightweight concerete.
Reinforced concrete structure of a administrative building
Januš, Ondřej ; Švaříčková, Ivana (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor thesis is focused on the design of reinforced concrete locally supported slab of a multifunction building. Internal forces are calculated by a computer software SCIA Engineer and its resultes are compered with simplifield method. Another part includes the design of a reinforced concrete stairway and a column situated in the center of the disposition. The calculation method is based on ČSN EN 1992-1-1.
Wage rigidities in chosen EU countries
Janus, Ondřej
The objective of this thesis is to estimate the real wage rigidities in chosen EU countries and their influence on long term unemployment. Two main approaches used in this thesis are multiple regression analysis applied on Phillips curve and Structural VAR. The results show the development of wage flexibility before and after the crisis, heterogeneity of wage flexibility across the chosen EU countries and positive correlation between wage flexibility and low long-term unemploy-ment rate.
