The case study of physioterapeutical treatment of a patient after knee arthroscopy for meniscal lesions

Year of defense: 2014 Abstract: This bachelor's thesis was made like the case study of a patient after knee arthroscopy for meniscal lesion. It's been prepared in the course of professional practice from 7th January to 2nd February 2013 in Institut klinické a experimentální medicíny (IKEM) in Prague. The work consists of a general part, which follows up with the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint, soft tissue trauma in the area of knee joint, clinical examination, medical imaging techniques and therapeutic procedures in the case of lesions of the meniscus. A special part follows up a specific case study of a patient, who attended the outpatient department on rehabilitation clinic IKEM. It contains the input kinesiology examination, plan of the therapy, the performance and the evaluation of therapy at the end. Title: Case report of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with diagnosis cervicobrachial syndrome. Aim: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is processing of the case study of a patient with diagnosis cervicobrachial syndrome, a summary of theoretical knowledge, designing therapy and monitoring its progress. Method: This thesis was created as a research with case study during continuous professional practice held from 6. 1. 2014 to 31. 1. 2014 at Institute of clinical and experimental medicine in Prague, where I was working with a patient after kidney transplantation who attended the dialysis there. The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The first (general) part deals with the theoretical knowledge of kinesiology of the shoulder joint, includes information on the most common diagnoses affecting shoulder joint, cervicobrachial syndrome definition and with respect to my patient's basic information on kidney transplantation and hemodialysis. The second (special) part describes case study of a patient with cervicobrachial syndrome, the process of suggested therapy and evaluation of its effect. Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after multivisceral transplantation

Autor: Kateřina Plíhalová Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after multivisceral transplantation Objective: The aim of this thesis is a summary of theoretical knowledge of a multivisceral transplantation and a case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient, who underwent a transplantation of five visceral organs. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts - general (theoretical) and special (practical). Theoretical part is based on the research of professional literature and summarises the basic information about the problems of liver diseases and about the management of their terminal phases using a multivisceral transplantation. Practical part documents the process of rehabilitation of the patient after multivisceral transplantation during the continuous physiotherapy internship. Results: The therapy reached the best results in the area of better overall condition of the patient, muscle strength improvement and reduction of edema in lower extremities. The final effect of the therapy was noted both subjectively and objectively. Key words: cirrhosis of the liver, portal hypertension, multivisceral transplantation, physiotherapy
