Application of project management methods in public administration

This thesis entitled "Application of project management methods in public administration" handles real project, which will be held in public administration, with the help of project management. The work describes what steps must be pursued must perform in order to make the investment plan, in this case, the construction of a new building that will serve as the sponsor registry.
The first part focuses on the explanation of the concepts of project management, dealing with specifying what the different terms mean and how they can be used in a practical direction. Along with these concepts also deals with the methods and principles that are used in project management. These include STEP analysis, which looks at what the external environment surrounding the subject and SWOT analysis, which in turn monitors the internal environment of the body. The work is also used and critical path method called. CPM and created hierarchical structure of WBS activity. The thesis also analyzes risk situations and procurement procedures and their financial value. The theoretical part serves as a basis for practical work.
The second part is focused on practical use of knowledge, which are described in the theoretical part. There is described by the entity itself, which will carry out the investment plan and what needs to prepare and arrange before the project will be successfully completed. STEP analysis and SWOT are the practical part applied to a particular subject and their conclusions are then made the decision that the construction is necessary or not. Other methods, ie. critical path method, hierarchical structure, operations and risk analysis methods are no longer aimed at the very beginning and the realization of the investment project. This summary is presented in the final part.

Planning of routes for traveling salesmen in ELIOD servis, s.r.o.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate, optimize and suggest new routes to the sales representative of the company ELIOD service, s.r.o. who travels around the entrusted business partners through the Pilsen and Karlovy Vary Region. There are many possible routes´ variations in such a large entrusted region, how gradually go round the customers and take into consideration the requirements for frequency of visiting them. From this point of view, the selection of optimal routes must be done very carefully to a sales representative ran the minimum kilometers and his ride was effective in fuel consumption and in time savings as well as. To optimize the routes it will be used the methods of multiple-routes traveling salesman problem, i.e. Mayer's method and then finally computer program TSPKOSA - branch and bound method, which is the optimal method for solving problems of such magnitude. In the literature review will be presented methods for solving the transport problems. The case study will be performed by using the methods that are mentioned in the literature review and they will solve the given problem in a practical way. From the description of the company and its specific needs, requirements for the sales representative through using the methods for given problem up to achievement of optimized calculations and the best option of the resulting circuit

Analysis of selected processes and their management in RWE

This diploma thesis is focused on analysis of company internal processes and their management; analysis of a chosen process of a company RWE. The selected processes can represent a threat for the company from the point of inappropriate cyclic setting and ineffective management. This diploma thesis aims to streamline the functioning of key processes maintenance of gas facilities.
The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on a problematics connected to the definition of the entrepreneurship, production process, of the company. The thesis also looks at the characteristics of process management, the corporate and production strategy, defines processes and describes analytics, which specialize in topics related to business and the business.
The practical part, after specifications of the paticular company, analyzes the external environment, focused on business competitors. Considering the inner environment of the company, the dissertation thesis analyzes selected processes, leadership, procedures of cooperation with analytical method of architecture of a program ARIS by IDS Scheer Consulting company.
The results are concluded in a specific proposal of management of the company RWE, which is reconfiguration process of maintenance and management.

Optimization of delivery precincts routes

The aim is to optimize the selected route for the given Czech Post Office.
For the purpose of optimization approximation methods - focusing primarily to minimize the total distance and costs of their own transportation were used.
According to the amount of input data, which was avalaible, the optimation model cases (examples) in the system of contracting authority were evalueted.
The success of each method was compared, and the software solution was done.

Tender for services supplier in public sector

Bachelor thesis deals with rating of the process of a tender named: Creative processing and production of information campaign with the project Basic Registers.
Theoretical section is focused on problems in the procurement and lead to the necessary information for the practical section of the thesis. Key element of the practical section is an evaluation of theoretical and real progress of selection of a compromise variant, which is analysed in six levels. The theoretical evaluation points out to targets to which contracting authority should point to. Real assessment is focused to real tender documentation with point and verbal evaluation of offers. In this part it points out to the potential improvement of the tender dossier. These suggestions of improvement are discussed further in the analysis of verbal evaluation of offers. These deficiencies are discussed further in the analysis of verbal evaluation of offers. A selection of a compromise variant is made on bases of these results.
Actual and theoretical results were compared and evaluated.

Optimization of data flow in a network

The work aims to optimize connections between client stations and the rest Internet
service providers infrastructure. The main optimization criterion was to equally divide
these client stations based on the amount of downloaded data and the distance between 2
client stations and providers access points. The work was solved as a transportation
problem and it was computed in a MS Excel plugin called Dumkosa. Calculated solution
had to be adjusted for additional restrictions which were out of technical limits of
Dumkosa solver. The computational part of the work was done on top of test group
composed of 50 clients. Data from these clients were gathered for one month at 5 minute
intervals. An analysis was performed on top of these records and its results were used later
in the computational part of the work. At the end of the work was discussed a possible way
how to transfer the algorithm from the test area to whole company network.

Application of decision-making models for choosing a pathway

The aim of this thesis is, by using the methods of multi-criteria decision, to design and recommend a suitable variant of the communication for the pedestrian for the preparation of a tender documentation for the public tender in the village of Dolany.
The issue of the decision-making processes in the selection of the optimal variants using the methods of multi-criterial decision-making is analyzed in the literature research of the publication. The description of multi-criteria methods reflects the subsequent procedure of the calculation in the practical part. Research also deals, regarding to the theme of the publication, with selected requirements in the procurement, sub-targets of the tender documentation for the selection procedure and a brief specification of the communication for the pedestrian.
The practical part of the thesis starts with the description of the village of Dolany and the preparation for the setting the options. The determination of the possible variants and the choice of different criteria follow. The selection of the compromise variants is carried out using the method of the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) for the possibility of inclusion also qualitative criteria which cannot be fitted into the framework of the tender documentation. In the end, the selected option is recommended to the village of Dolany.

Evaluation of the suppliers of KVM Impex, s.r.o.

The bachelor thesis predominantly focuses on the use of multi-criteria decision analysis for the solution of the optimal selection of existing suppliers of a selected company. The objective of this thesis is to analyse data with methods of multi-criteria decision-making and to make a recommendation to the managing directors of a tire dealercompany. With the inflow of non-European suppliers (producers) who are entering the Czech market, it is necessary to closely followtheselected productportfolio of these suppliers. Consequently, it is essential to analyse it and to select, which suppliers are the most suitable ones, and then to strenghten and deepen mutualcooperation with these suppliers. The first part of the thesis is focused on a theoretical description of the Saaty Model, as well as of theAspiration Level Model, Scoring Model, Ranking Model, Weighted Sum Model and the TOPSIS Model, including practical examples of all these models. All mentioned models are then applied in the second part of this bachelor thesis. The elimination of suppliers with a narrow product portfolio was performed based on an analysis according to the Aspiration Level Model. The Saaty Model, theScoring Model, and the Ranking Modelfor the subjective criteria evaluation were used for the determination of the ranking of suppliers in the portfolio. This final suppliers ranking can be recommended to the company's decision-makers as the most suitable strategy for the deepening of the cooperation with suppliers.

Application of decision-making models in Labodenta

This thesis focuses on the selection of appropriate options by way of the multi-criteria decision-making analysis for the acquisition of equipment for the firings of dental ceramics and dental bridges. The objective of this work is to use the most effective method possible in selecting a ceramic furnace for the private dental offices Labodenta, v.o.s. This thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the basic terminology used in dental stomatology. The decision-making process, which is ranked as one of the most significant activities of this time, is addressed as well. As well, the options of multi-criteria decision-making analysis, the methods used in determining calculations and a SWOT analysis will be described. The practical part includes the assignment of criteria weights based on the information acquired; by using an appropriate calculation method, a specific option will be selected for the purchase. The conclusion of this work assesses the actual selection, which will be recommended.
