Mac OS and use in the corporate sector

The bachelor thesis deals with the deployment of Mac OS X into the corporate IT environment. There are characterized two widely used competing operating systems in the theoretical part. The first one is Windows 7 and second one Mac OS X El Capitan. Another section provides a closer overview of the basic software, which is necessary for using the full potential of both operating systems.
The introduction of practical part deals with the singling out of individual criteria companies on OS based on a literature review, so that they can be further analyzed in detail and compared using the Saaty and scoring methods. Suitable operating system is proposed into the corporate environment on the basis of these analysis and calculations.

Implementation of eHealth in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

This thesis examines ICT use in the area of health care. The aim is to introduce the eHealth strategy and analyse the current state while following the strategy. The thesis includes both theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical one, basic terms and notions concerning eHealth issues are characterised at first. Next part focuses on the health care drawing possibilities for EU citizens within EU countries and on cross border cooperation between Czech Republic and Germany in the area of emergency service. The third part introduces Czech and Slovak Republic health care systems as well as other organizations participating on eHealth in both the given countries. Practical part focuses on the eHealth readiness and possibilities of its implementing within Czech and Slovak Republic including the projects put in practice. On the basis of the results gained, conclusions have been synthesized.

Application development for iOS with SWIFT

This thesis is focused on a development of the iOS application in SWIFT language. The thesis is devided into two parts - theoretical and practical one. At the beginning of the theoretical part, the Apple company is viewed since its founding to the present. The decsription of the company is followed by analysis of the iOS system, which is the integral part of Apple since 2007. Following part pictures the iOS and its analysis more deeply. The basic architecture of the whole system is presented, including the most frequented frameworks for creation of applications. In the next part I describe the basic tools, which are necessary for the creation the iOS applications platform and also the hardware is described. The main theme is the description of the Xcode Integrated Development Environment and mainly showing the Swift language itself, which replaced the Objective-C language.
In the practical part the Playground environment is presented together with the several practical examles. In the second subchapter there is developing of the Weather application described in the Swift, the new programing language. In order to evaluate the contributions of the Swift language, the application was programmed also in Java language for the Android platform. In the course of the practical part, differents between these languages are showed in a way of the codes of individual functions matched through software metrics such as the number of lines of codes, the number of the chars and the size of the resulting application.

Architecture C / S - Application Virtualization

The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using application virtualization in the Windows environment. The theoretical part describes the operating principle of application virtualization. Furthermore, there are specified the individual characteristics and the reasons for the move to application virtualization. The author provides the basic overview and comparison of the specific ways of virtualization. The appropriate solution of the practical part was based on the Saaty method. In the practical part, the author describes in detail how to implement and use the chosen technology. Based on practical experience, he assesses functioning of the solution. The final part of the thesis includes both general and specific recommendations for the use of application virtualization.

Enterprise Architecture as a Service

Although architectural services have been for a long time a common part of civil engineering, they are very rarely mentioned in theory and practice of enterprise architecture. Author of this thesis deals with formulation of the model of enterprise architecture as a service and its solution. The model is defined by a set of constructs and assumptions, which take into account current knowledge in the fields of enterprise architecture and services. In model solution a set of architectural services, which provide Enterprise Architecture agile and flexibly, is identified and defined. Validity of the model and of its solution is practically verified in two real-world cases: in a shared services center and in an external service provider.

Maturity model of source code of object-oriented aplications

The goal of this disertation was to develop a maturity model for source code of object-oriented applications and to use this model to verify the quality of the source code of student's applications. The starting point of the thesis was devoted to the analysis of existing standards, norms, methodologies and summaries of best practice for assessing the quality of software products and analysis of the factors that affect the quality of the source code of object applications. To validate the results of the analysis of these factors, the analysis was complemented with a field research conducted among specialist with programming experience. The model to determine the maturity of source code of object-oriented applications was designed according to the analysis and the questionnaire. The statistical method of cluster analysis was used in the design of the model. The model was designed and the procedure of its use in the evaluation of source code was described. This model was pilot tested in education program at the University of Economics in Prague.

Cooperation model for architecture and integration areas

In today's economics, medium and large-size companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage from specialization and centralization of supporting services. This trend affects also areas of enterprise architecture and integration where they establish particular teams to support the disciplines in regular manner. Despite a lot of research activities oriented towards these topics, there are only a few focusing on organizational aspects and cooperation between enterprise architecture and integration teams. As the companies are on different levels of the maturity in both areas and focusing on different aspects of architecture and integration, there is no simple solution that could provide detailed guidelines for establishing the right cooperation approach. Goal of this dissertation is to propose a cooperation model for architecture and integration teams that should make cooperation between such teams more efficient. Integral part of the dissertation is to verify the model in real environment. The model is built on top of integration activities performed either in enterprise architecture or integration teams or both. These activities are categorized into particular integration areas and relations are identified between integration areas and architecture areas defined according to TOGAF architecture framework. The resulting model is then being used to depict various kind of cooperation between architecture and integration teams based on the companys' integration goals. Verification of the model is performed in financial enterprise in two cases and confirms the benefits of the model.

Application of CI methods focused on precision agriculture

This thesis deals with the new unconventional way of agricultural land management. Currently, high precision of work machines in the field is required. The development and accessibility of modern agricultural equipment linked to the information technology has led this branch to the unnecessary and high precise field ecosystem management. This new approach is called as precision agriculture. In the theoretical part of work is made the literature research and overview of the available data about the precision farming methods and the possibilities of field observation and data collection, including their processing with the available high information technology. The practical part evaluates the current possibilities of precision farming in the Czech Republic and in the world and looks for a solution to its implementation in the specific business environment of the agricultural laboratory.
