Design of a robotic snake construction

This master’s thesis is a continuation of the author's bachelor's thesis "Design of a model of a robotic snake", a goal of which was the simulation of a robot created from parts of the Bioloid set and a demonstration of possible movements in the simulations. The aim of this thesis is the physical construction of the given robot and the experimental verification of its mobility by testing it on different surfaces. The first part of the thesis is focused on a summary of information about biological snakes and the use of robotic snakes in robotics. The second part describes the control method and the construction of the robotic snake. The last part deals with testing limits and overcoming obstacles. A conclusion is drawn from the results of the last part of the thesis.

Application of virtual reality in the scope of Industry 4.0

This thesis deals with the topic of Industry 4.0, the use of virtual reality technology, and the Unity3D development environment. In the practical part, an application is created that enables multiple people to connect in a virtual environment with the option of using virtual reality headset or a personal computer. The created application contains three demonstration scenes showing the possibilities of use, including a conference room, a school classroom, and an industrial hall. Each scene is enhanced with specific functions.
Brain Storm Optimization algorithm: variants and applications

The thesis contains an introduction to topic optimization. It is devoted to the description of swarming and evolutionary algorithms and to a minor rearrangement of selected models. Finally, it moves to the better state of this survey of the moment and the history of one of the new models of the group, more precisely the Brain storm optimization algorithm. It was subsequently tested for the sensitivity of individual parameters and the accuracy of the results of the solutions found across several test functions. Finally, the best variants of BSO were compared with other algorithms according to calculation times and achieved results.
Demonstration tasks for pneumatic automation devices

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the creation of materials for teaching with a focus on automation using pneumatic automation devices. First of all, it is necessary to find out the availability and quality of freely available materials dealing with the same topic. Based on these findings, then create a theoretical basis and follow-up demonstration tasks. It was required that the complexity of this work would allow even a complete layman to understand the basics of designing and constructing pneumatic systems and circuits.
Simulation of component assembly in virtual reality

Virtual reality is created by tricking the brain by displaying a single scene on a two-dimensional plane, generating an image from a slightly shifted perspective for each eye. This creates the illusion of a three-dimensional space, with which, by the help of suitable software, it is also possible to simulate interactions with virtual objects. Possible interactions between objects include their assembly, from simple stacking of cubes on top of each other, to various linking of objects by determining link conditions. In the theoretical part of this thesis, some possibilities of working with objects in virtual reality are explained, including examples of possible uses. After that there is a comparison of some software tools for creating a virtual environment. In the practical part, the process of creating models and the conditions for their assembly is more detailed, including the specific procedure used to create a simulation of the assembly of three test computer builds with different combinations of selected components with designated restrictions.
Education of artificial intelligence in extracurricular education

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of artificial intelligence. After the introductory part, key concepts and the historical development of artificial intelligence from ancient times to the present are presented. The third part is focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on Industry 4.0 and describes the advantages and disadvantages of its implementation. The fourth part is focused on the education of artificial intelligence in secondary schools. The final fifth part introduces a proposal for posters for VIDA! Brno as a means of supporting the education of artificial intelligence in extracurricular education.
Model of a laboratory in virtual reality

This Bachelor’s thesis is engaged in creating automation with robots in virtual reality. In the beginning, there is a brief research on the history of technology, the various use of VR technology in our time, alternatives for commercially achievable VR headsets, and various options to improve quality. The next section briefly describes industrial robots, their control, kinematics types, and a guide for choosing the right software for various use cases. The work is writing about an automation procedure for one and two SCARA robots, compatible with virtual reality with RoboDK software so that the program would be executable on a real robot. The base points will write, how we created and repaired models for active and interactive objects, testing of animation, software optimization for Oculus Quest 2 headset, and options to export this automatization project.
Non-state actors and their behaviour during the pandemic of COVID-19

This diploma thesis focuses on the qualitative study and analysis of non-state actors during the Covid-19 pandemic. Particularly, it aims on researching the amendment of the behaviour of the gangs in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from the emergence of the pandemic in Brazil for the following 6 months. The goal of the thesis is an in- depth and comprehensive analysis of the chosen actors through the lenses of theories of violent non-state actors. The analysis is established on the concept of rebelocracy defined by Anna Archona, and the shift of behaviour, leverage and autonomy of the VNSA is evaluated through the optics of the ARI framework created by Ersel Aydinli. That framework focuses on three main analytical categories- autonomy, representation, and influence. Primarily, this thesis aims to discover and reveal the reaction and adaptation of the VNSAs under the circumstances of the global pandemic, mainly on the local and regional levels. Secondly, the aim of the thesis is to contribute to and broaden the existing knowledge and understanding of the VNSAs globally and particularly in Latin America. Loose-it-all machine

This bachelor thesis deals with the design and construction of a prototype of a “lose-it all” machine for educational purposes. The lose-it-all machine serves to implement a simple gambling game. The machine uses proprietary jettons as currency. The practical part of this bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to the description of the functionality, design, basic features, build construction, and the software solutions of the machine. It describes the physical implementation and creation of the various necessary parts of the lose-it-all machine. The theoretical part of this thesis includes research about gambling as well as an introduction to hazard addiction and its prevention.
