Drying of biomass

This thesis deals with the drying of biomass, especially drying of small wood mass. The various drying methods, such as belt drying, fluidized bed drying and drum drying are compared including their advantages and disadvantages. It is suggested basic technological scheme of drying line. The last part of the thesis deals with a calculation of drum dryer of specified performance and economic balance is made.
Microbiological hazards in HVAC systems and possibilities of their elimination

This thesis deals with HVAC systems and describes some of their the basic parts. There are mentioned the most important microbiological hazards, which can occur in different parts, such as bacteria, viruses and molds. The last part of the thesis deals with possibilities of maintenance and cleaning of HVAC systems. They are needed to prevent microbes to grow and to provide failure-free operation.
Cooperative Form of Financing of Housing Construction

The diploma thesis focus on evaluation of co-operative housing construction as one of the way from current credit crisis of financing of housing construction. Specifies and evaluate individual types of financig of new housing construction and apply it on model example. Evaluation is based on analysis of present circumstances of housing construction and trend of mortgage loans. In this evaluation also looks at subvene of new housing construction. At the same time looks on an alternative of non-profit co-operative housing construction.

Competencies of Recruitment Specialists in the IT Sector in Job Advertising

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse job advertisements advertising recruiter positions od Prague-based non-recruitment consulting organisations. The theoretical basis of this thesis is the definition of the recruitment specialist job role, both in the work activities characteristic for this role, as well as competecies required for its success. Firstly, work activities of a recruitment specialist are defined and described, secondly the competencies required for its success are presented and described. Afterwards, recruitment of IT specialists is presented as a specific field of recruitment. The goal of the empirical survey is to determine the percentages of inclusion of selected competencies and requirements in the job advertisements of aforementioned organisations. Survey outcomes are separated into two groups of job advertisements, one of which advertises recruitment specialist roles focused on IT specialist recruitment, the other of which advertises recruitment specialist roles on focused on IT specialist recruitment. The outcomes are then compared within these to groups.
Employee Engagement in the IT Sector in the Czech Republic

The objective of this thesis is to analyse the employee engagement among IT sector employees and to identify the specifics of the target group in relation to the development of employee engagement through job-related drivers. Attention is given to the theoretical background of employee engagement, its consequences, and methods of measurement. Aspects of employee engagement development with a focus on job-related drivers are analysed. The HR process of job design, which can contribute to the development of employee engagement through the job-related factors, is described. The specificities of the target group of IT professionals are addressed. The thesis includes a quantitative research conducted in the form of an online questionnaire. The respondents of the research are IT professionals working in private companies based in Prague. The aim of the quantitative research is to analyse the relationship between employee engagement and two job-related drivers that contribute to its development among employees in the IT sector in the Czech Republic. The Role Conflict of Sandwich Generation Women Working in the Helping Professions

The bachelor thesis will deal with the role conflict of women from the sandwich generation working in the helping professions. The aim is to identify the roles of these women and analyse the types of conflict they may encounter. The focus on women was chosen because of their usual position as primary caregivers in the sandwich generation. The thesis will focus on the sandwich generation, and the factors influencing its emergence. It will also look at the helping professions, social roles and the impact of experiencing role conflict on the work and family of sandwich generation women working in the helping professions. A quantitative empirical investigation will be conducted using a questionnaire. The questionnaire will include work-family and work-family conflict scales. The respondents will be women who care for at least one dependent child, care for at least one aging elderly person and work in the helping professions. The expected number of participants in the empirical survey is 60. The aim of the empirical investigation will be to analyse the conflict between work and family among women from the sandwich generation working in the helping professions. Factors Undermining the Motivation to Teach of Inexperienced Primary and Secondary School Teachers

The topic of the thesis is the identification of factors undermining the motivation to teach of novice teachers with a focus on primary and secondary school teachers. The aim of the thesis is to identify the factors undermining the motivation of inexperienced teachers that may result in their diversion from the teaching. The thesis examines selected aspects of teaching that may affect the motivation of novice teachers to pursue the teaching profession. Namely, the high average age of teachers, the high feminisation of the school system, low financial remuneration and the prestige of teachers. Subsequently, the thesis focuses on previously conducted surveys and researches that focused on the motivation of teachers and university students to pursue the teaching profession. Then, the topic of teachers in Italy, Austria and Finland, their job satisfaction and comparison with Czech teachers is elaborated. The quantitative survey is carried out by means of a questionnaire, which is aimed at Prague primary school teachers with up to 5 years of teaching experience. The aim of the survey is to find out whether the work motivation of these teachers is low and what are the reasons for this demotivation.
Quality of Work Life of the Visually Impaired

5 Abstract The thesis deals with the quality of working life of people with congenital and acquired visual impairment, where the group of people with visual impairment is not much studied in the conditions of the Czech labour market. The aim of the thesis is to determine the quality of working life of people with visual impairment working in the sheltered market. In order to fulfil the aim of the thesis, not only a search of the available literature is used, but also a qualitative empirical investigation carried out using the method of semi-structured interview of own construction and using the Subjective Quality of Work Life Indicator (SQWLi) by Jiří Vinopal. The thesis found that the subjective quality of working life of persons with congenital visual impairment and persons with acquired visual impairment differ, with persons with congenital visual impairment rating their subjective quality of working life higher than persons with acquired visual impairment. It was also found that the most important aspects for both groups of respondents are working relationships and self-realization, and the least important are finances and support for employment of the visually impaired by the state and other organisations. Communication of Managers with Problematic Employees

Diploma thesis deals with communication of managers with problematic employees. As problematic employees are not just perceived individuals, who have been categorized with specific mental illness, but employees participating in a toxic working environment and insufficient work performance are also included. Big inspiration for my diploma thesis are thoughts of clinical and forensic psychologist Laurence Miller, who was dealing with communication and functioning problematic employees in organizations. The aim of this diploma thesis is identification of problematic employees and identification of effective communication of managers with them. Empirical research also is a part of diploma thesis and its aim is to ascertain communication techniques of managers with problematic employees and identification of problematic employees in an organization providing urban public transport company. In an organization providing urban public transport is assumed a higher incident of pathologies and undesirable behaviour, as it is an environment with specific company culture. A qualitative empirical investigation is carried out by the method of interviews with eight persons in leading positions.
