Treatment of waste from biogas plants
Budín, Oto ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Vondra, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on options of treatment of waste from biogas plants. The first part of this thesis describes biogas plants and its working. The main target of the thesis deals with waste from biogas plants – its creation, properties, composition and application. The thesis also includes an overview of legislative and environmental restrictions applying to the treatment of waste from biogas plants. The bachelor thesis also comprises an information about biogas plants Stanoviště.
Up-to-date technology for energy utilisation of biomass and waste
Krňávek, Martin ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Kropáč, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with technologies for energy utilisation of biomass and waste. The introductory part is dedicated to biomass, its division and sources of biomass suitable for thermal treatment. The main part describes and compares technological units for energy utilisation of biomass, which is important for the Czech market. Furthermore there is described selected technologies for flue gas cleaning suitable especially for thermal treatment of waste. A basic design calculation of technological unit fired with wood chips for combined heat and power production is included here.
Conception of Thermal Treatment of Waste from Municipal Sector
Frýba, Lukáš ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kos, Miroslav (referee) ; Bébar, Ladislav (advisor)
European Union and states of European Union legislation are updated according new information about the composition and content of danger compounds in the sewage sludge from municipal waste water treatment plants. It has the effect on using of modern technologies for disposal in sewage sludge treatment. These methods are designed for sewage sludge hygienization, amount reduction, material transformation for next using or sludge incineration for energy production and utilization. The thesis is focuses on the effective thermal treatment of sewage sludge from waste water treatment plants. An important part of the line for sewage sludge incineration is pre-treatment and reduction of water content. The water content reducing is a high energy consumption process which is helpfull to use waste heat from energy plants where it would be loosed without using.
Waste incineration in states adjacent to Czech republic and the potential of international waste market
Kadleček, Vít ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Ferdan, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with mapping of current and planned waste incineration plants in states bordering with the Czech Republic, and with the potential of international waste market. The introduction of the thesis describes the history and function of the waste incineration plants. The first main part, the legislation, defines waste incineration as energetic usage of waste, placing waste incineration to waste management and legislative conditions for realization of transportation across borders. The second main part informs about current and planned foreign waste incineration plants, which are located near to borders of the Czech Republic, because of formation of competition for planned projects in the Czech Republic.
Sludge disposal from wastewater treatment plants in case of transport and sludge incineration
Petříčková, Alena ; Šomplák, Radovan (referee) ; Frýba, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis in theoretical part deals with the disposal of sludge with respect to legislation, method of sludge treatment and drying technologies. This part is also dedicated to traffic connected with sludge. The practical part includes the calculation of combustion heat and calorific value. This section is also deals with summarization production of sludge and sludge treatment, analysis of these data. This part also includes an overview of the mass flow of sludge across the Czech Republic at locations with extended powers.
Feasibility of Low-Capacity Waste-to-Energy Plants in the Czech Republic
Putna, Ondřej ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of small-scale waste to energy plants in the Czech Republic. In the first part, there is a survey of the corresponding literature and general evaluation of the specificities of these plants. The next section analyzes the technical and economic indicators of a specific technology by Microsoft Excel model. Finally, recommendations for small-scale waste to energy plants arising from the model are summarized.
Similar solution identification in the field of stochastic simulation related to waste management
Gal, Pavel ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Šomplák, Radovan (advisor)
The Master’s thesis deals with the issue of collecting mixed municipal waste from producers to a~waste-to-energy or landfills. The initial chapters are aimed to waste legislation and transportation of the waste by road freight transport across Europe. The objective is to collect the data, that are required for calculation in tool NERUDA. The next part describes the cluster analysis and different approaches in it. The selected methods of cluster analysis are apllied to the logistic task in the final chapters. The cluster analysis is considered from different aspects. The results are visualized using the software ArcGIS.
Household waste transport
Gal, Pavel ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis deals with issue of collection of mixed municipal waste to waste-to-energy. The main part is aimed to transportation of waste using rail freight or road freight transport. It shows the advantages of rail transport and compares transport in term of emissions and economy. The final chapter deals with preparation data for optimization problem and visualization of them using software ArcGIS.
Low-potential heat utilization for electricity generation
Švábenský, Pavel ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
This work is concentrating on production of elektricity from waste heat. The work mainly deals with Organic Rankine cycle (further referred to as ORC), basic theory of ORC is summarised here and for comparison is given Rankin-Clausius cycle as well. Further part of the work is dedicated to ORC unit as a system, an overview of manufacturers of ORC units and their range of products is given here as well, short comparison of ORC units was carried out. Further the work is dealing with problems of the incinerator and the possibility of using the ORC unit. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to the ekonomic evaluation of the application of ORC in the Czech Republic considering the implementation study.
Evaluation of emission measurements with respect to removing efficiency of heavy metals, especially mercury
Frýba, Lukáš ; Beňo, Zdeněk (referee) ; Dvořák, Radek (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is specialized on identification with issues burning waste and devices in waste incineration plants linked with them. Description of particular methods used for heavy metal removing and appreciation their effectivity.
