Thermal spray by electric arc

This thesis deals with the issue of thermal spraying by means of an electric arc. First of all, a theoretical part is processed using a literary study dealing with corrosion and thermal spraying technology. The experimental part contains a description of the technological procedure and evaluation of four thermally sprayed samples. Zinacor 850, consisting of 85% zinc and 15% aluminum, was used as a coating. The evaluation involves measurements of thickness, adhesion and roughness as well as the macro-structural analysis of the coating. Two samples showed unusually low adhesion, and all samples also had a large fluctuation of the measured thicknesses. This was also confirmed by the macro-structural analysis, which showed that the sample with low adhesion also had high porosity. These defects may have multiple causes, but the recommendation for further practice is to reduce the spraying distance from the base material.

Design of ceramic coating for disc brake of bicycle

This Bachelor Thesis deals with the design of ceramic coating on a braking rotor of a bicycle and its implementation. The reason for this is the achievement of better heat resistance as well as better abrasion resistance, which are typical properties of ceramic materials. The method of heat plasma spraying was employed in order to apply the coating. The coating material consisted of the binding layer made up by 95% Ni and 5% Al and of the outer (superficial) layer made up by 92 % ZrO_2 and 8 % Y_2 O_3 . After the coating had been sprayed, the rotor was tested in real conditions of a bicycle ride. Considering the absence of the necessary measuring equipment, the testing was only based on the rider's subjective feelings. The sprayed coating showed slightly worse friction properties compared to conventional steel, however, the functionality of the braking device was not significantly limited.

Some of the Pastoral Activities of the Nuns in the Totalitarianism Period Ing. Jakub Maršík This work focuses on the pastoral activities of the Czech-Moravian Province of the Roman Union of Ursulines during the totalitarianism period. The epoch of the communist regime 1948-1989 is being considered as the most agitated within the history of the ursulines community. It may be split into three eras: The era of the most severe persecution in 1950- 1966, the era of the political liberalization during 1966-1970 and the normalization era in 1970-1989. The focal point of the work is the period 1966-1989, during which the nuns worked in the Social Care Institute in Horni Poustevna and in the Mental Home for Children in Rocov. There the nuns developed rich catechetic and pastoral activities among the wards, locals and the children of their relatives and friends for whom they would organize summer camps. The work also touches the activities of the secret groups of the nuns living civilian life and describes the pastoral-catechetic activities of two of those sisters closely - of S. Placida Trefilova and S. Consilia Novakova.

The Actual Situation of the Churches in Olomouc

My finel work is called "Actual situation of churches in the tlen of Olomouc." I was interested in a sort of christian churches in Olomouc and their activities. I visited Olomouc's churches, celebrations and I told to priests, pastores and with churchs. I asked them about church's life, social nad charity work, activities for public, activities with another churches. I try to summarize information, which I took during my visit in the last chapter. I write about activities for community, activities for public and actions with another churches in the town of Olomouc. I write also about the opinions of "faithless people"about church's work in Olomouc and church's work in the sociaty. I made a list of questions and I gave it to "faithless people". My finel work is divided into three parts. The first one is just theoretical. There is the basic information about the history of church, the structures of churches, the sphere of activities in church and oecumenism. The second part includes my practical work. I give overview the Churces in Olomouc and their work here. I desribe the whole situation of all the chuches here. Tchaj-ti cchüan and its use in work with seniors

The topic of this paper is a traditional Chinese health and exercise system called Tchaj-ťi čchüan. In the first chapter I introduce the system's philosophical roots, Taoism, and its connection with social work, and, due to fundamental differences between eastern and western modes of thoughts, I seek to give context, and make understandable the thoughts of and origins of tchaj-ťi. Next I describe what tchaj-ťi means, and a bit about its history. Because Tchaj-ťi has many different schools, it is important to describe each main style, as they all comprise the totality. The following chapter is a description of various styles of Tchaj-ťi art. The fourth chapter is a human connection of its physical and spiritual dimension. Physical dimension is important as spiritual and Tchaj-ťi connects both of them so that person can develop both of them equally. The next part is a discussion of the practical usage of tchaj-ťi, in particular with seniors. The chapter following is about Taoist tchaj-ťi, and is instrumental in giving some examples of this art playing a role in social work. Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen Annotation This bachelor thesis describes the foundation and evolution of the Salesian Youth Center in Pilsen. It aims to provide the readers with a comprehensive view of how the Center works with specific target groups; how the basic type of work is expanding - the Center, oratory and parish. The work tries to monitor all of the Salesians who have worked for the project during its gradual expansion to its present form. It describes the impact on its surroundings and what specific activities can be practiced. The theoretical part describes the world in which the young people live, it characterizes a group of young adults and describes their problems. The practical part gives attention to young people's expectation towards the church. The conclusions were reached using the method of qualitative sociological research, namely with the help of semi-standardized dialogues with 14 young people. The practical part contains the description of research preparative work, data processing and the subsequent interpretation. In the conclusion pastoral theological reflexion is provided.

Pilgrimage and its use for catechesis

Anotation: PILGRIMAGE AND HER EXPLOITATION FOR CATECHISM The thesis offers to the participants of the catechism course insight into one of the biggest Middle Ages pilgrimages - "Saint-Jacob's Pilgrimage", as well as into the history of pilgrimage generally, and into related events from the history of the Church. Pilgrimages have not only spiritual, historical, cultural or political dimension, but they are - above all - journeys of internal contemplation of God and recognition of oneself. Therefore, the goal of this thesis was to help, through the historical background, to deepen the belief of the participants, encourage their active life with God and give them a practical help in their Christian life. The matter is divided into two parts: The theoretical part deals with what precedes the catechism - i. e. the conditions that need to be fulfilled in the interest of a correct and meaningful catechism. The second part is a resulting example of practical preparation to catechism. It is conceived so that the participants are acquainted with the historical facts, with the spirituality of places of pilgrimage.
