Inner space of art

In my bachelor's thesis, I analyzed several works from the fields of photography, music, installation and moving image, and I tried to define a certain hidden dimension, that exists within the specific medium.
I consider this inner space as an immaterial and unaccesible structure, that may resemble the theories of multidimensional universe. Within this field, the usual laws of time and space become invalid, and the work becomes a window to this miraculous world. Within a group of seemingly heterogenous works of art, I'm searching for a unified definition of this specific structure.
