Disc brake design and construction for the Simson S51 motorcycle
Povýšil, Jan ; Sliwková, Petra (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The work is focused on the design, production, and tests of a disc brake for the Simson S51 motorcycle, whose original brake system is quite problematic, has low efficiency, and is already obsolete from today's point of view. In the beginning, the work deals with the issue of motorcycle brake systems and compares individual solutions. The design is processed in CAD software Autodesk Inventor Professional 2023, including drawing documentation, and mechanical calculations of the design are mainly performed in the ANSYS 2022R2 application. The work briefly summarizes the production process used to produce the given prototype. A comparison is made with commercially available solutions and a price calculation for production is made. Finally, tests of the functionality of the physically produced prototype and a comparison with the original braking system are performed.
Design of a group milling fixture for clamping components
Kalous, Jan ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a group milling jig for four different shaped components. These parts are components of a baking line and are designed to clamp baking matrices for wafer production. The semi-product for all the parts is a casting made of EN-GJS-400-15, cast iron with spheroidal graphite. Machining on a horizontal milling centre MS NH5000 DCG from DMG Mori Czech s.r.o. was chosen to produce all four parts. A list of tools and gauges was made. Subsequently, a technological process was created for the selected part with the designation HAAC-62836-001. Then the cutting forces from the individual cutter inserts, clamping, and friction forces were calculated to verify that the machined piece could move in the jigs. This thesis includes calculations of both jigs and evaluation according to the technical aspect.
Influence of a size of a cutting edge rounding of the insert during turning
Tichá, Dana ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The work is focused on the durability test of replaceable cutting inserts, which are coated with a newly developed coating. In the work are tested two types of replaceable inserts with different shapers, while three different edge roundings are produced for each shaper. The test is performed on three different materials. During testing, the cutting depth doesn’t change, only the feed changes, where tests are performed on each material at two different feeds. A different cutting speed was chosen for each material and feed, which resulted in a durability of the replaceable insert cca 15–20 minutes. The goal of the work is to find out what is the most suitable rounding of the blade on replaceable cutting inserts, when applying a newly developed coating.
Production technology of a specified rotational part
Chalupa, Adam ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This master´s thesis is focused on the design and modification of the machining technology for the production of a rotating piece where tooling problems occur due to material properties. The thesis deals with the design of a more efficient technological procedure, the selection of problem tools, and a financial evaluation of the production.
Design and manufacturing of an engraving LED laser
Hlaváček, Petr ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is divided in two main topics. In first one it characterizes what unconventional machining methods are and divides them into groups according to the material removal effect. Each method is always simply and briefly explained. The purpose of this part is to introduce the unconventional technologies and their use in mechanical engineering. Second major topic follows comparison between beam methods and is dealing with the design and construction of a laser engraver. The goal is to build a prototype that allows not only engraving but also cutting into materials such as cardboard. The primary purpose of this machine is the production of kits for model railroad. The last chapters are about economic evaluation and comparison between made prototype and commercially sold engraver.
Design of an LED laser module with a power of up to 6 W
Chovanec, Daniel ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The work is dedicated to laser modules for engraving and cutting materials. The theoretical part describes the basic principle of laser technology. It is more closely focused on the func-tion of laser diodes, basic types and possible modes of operation. Futhermore, control electronics are mentioned, their power supply and controls. In the practical part, a module designed for manual engraving was constructed. The design was conceived with an emphasis on small dimensions and low weight. The achieved parameters were tested by the module attachement to machinery that has continous movement. Tests confirmed sufficient laser power for engraving and cutting low-density material. In the final part, the construction of a new module was proposed, enabling installation on an engraving machine. Subsequently, a mechanism was added to enable precise adjustment of the focal length of the beam depen-ding on the thickness of the material.
Hobby milling machine design
Částka, Jakub ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of a CNC hobby milling machine for milling wood, plastics, and soft metals. The theoretical part focuses on market analysis and issues in the hobby field. It also deals with the comparison of different components used in the implementation. The practical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the description of the individual components, the basic characteristics of the control system, and the actual design solution. This includes making a 3D model and drawings of the parts, that are manufactured. All is followed by the actual realization of the CNC milling machine. It is subjected to basic tests for accuracy, parallelism, perpendicularity, and repeated runs on the coordinates. During the construction process, emphasis is placed on minimum costs. The very end of the bachelor thesis is devoted to cost calculation.
Production technology for an ignition stator body of the Jawa Pionýr motorcycle
Zeman, Petr ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Sliwková, Petra (advisor)
The Jawa 50 motorcycles, produced in several models between 1958 and 1982, were equipped with several types of ignitions. From the current point of view, they are not satisfactory. The bachelor´s thesis describes the original designs, the commercial and amateur modifications of the ignition and its advantages and disadvantages, and deals with the innovative design and variants of mounting by individual coils. The work further deals with production of the ignition body by choosing a semi-finished product, machines and tools and compilation of a technological procedure and drawing documentation.
Design and construction of a rolling machine
Salajka, Josef ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to design and construct a machine for bending profiles, which will be then used in home workshop. The work itself discusses the issue of profile forming in mechnichal engineering. Specifically a description of bending, its division and machines comonly used. Furthermore acquaitance with rollinch machines on the market and their manufacturers. According to existing solution found in the catalogs, a custom concept was designed, for which a 3D model and mechanical drawing were made. A prototype of concept was made. The work describes the functionality of the designed machine alongside its demonstration. In the end, the whole bachelor thesis was evaluated from technical and economic point of view.
Cutting and non-cutting operations
Morcinek, David ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on the study and description of fundamental concepts of cutting and non-cutting machining within the field of engineering technology. The work provides a general overview of individual methods of cutting and non-cutting machining, including their principles and applications. Specific technologies of cutting and non-cutting machining are selected and applied to a chosen component within the thesis. Emphasis is placed on the study and description of specific application areas for both methods, encompassing their advantages, limitations, and contributions to specific manufacturing processes.
