Inverted pendulum control
Daněk, Petr ; Němec, Zdeněk (referee) ; Marada, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with inverse pendulum control. There are described types of inverse pendulums, used power electronics, sensors and their connection to the MF624 control card and to external hardware. Further is described the identification of parameters, including the assembly of a custom algorithm for identification of viscous friction in the pendulum rotary coupling. For identification of moments of inertia are used 3D CAD models, where the thesis describes also use of these models for VRML visualization. The thesis also describes how to build a dynamic model by using Matlab-Simulink and the Simscape-Multibody toolbox. This model is further used in design of the controller using LQR and its simulation testing. The controller is complemented by swing-up algorithm, security elements and MF624 driver interface is designed. The control is tested on a real inverse pendulum assembly and implemented in external hardware.
Measurement methods of strain on the construction
Chytil, Jan ; Láník, Jaromír (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
The main goal of bachelor thesis is evaluation of methods used for proportional transformation measurement based on the results of concrete panels applied load tests. Next thesis conclusion is comparison of real measured values and values determinated by appropriate static calculation. The first part describes possible measurement methods of construction deformations, drifts and deflections. The second chapter describes in detail tensometric methods of proportional modification on construction. The conclusion recounts measuring instruments application on construction, panels examination consecution and evaluation of acquired data.
ASSESSMENT OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES EXPOSED TO ELEVATED TEMPERATURES
Rozsypalová, Iva ; Kolář,, Karel (referee) ; Vítek,, Jan (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Doctoral thesis is focused on the assessment of concrete structures after fire exposure and extends the knowledge in view of the main aims of the research defined in the objectives of his work. Thanks to the performed fire tests of full-scale concrete specimens, material characteristics corresponding to actual fire load have been assessed for different temperature levels. Resulting from presented research, main steps of assessment procedure have been recommended for both destructive and non-destructive tests of concrete after exposure to fire. Furthermore, behaviour of FRP reinforcement at elevated temperatures have been investigated. Aiming to determine the effects of fire exposure on reinforced concrete structures, experimental program have been defined and performed, including concrete beams reinforced with either steel, or composite reinforcement with glass or carbon fibres and subjected to experimentally simulated fire load. After cooling, bending test have been executed. Above mentioned experimental program was further complemented by extensive numerical analysis. Finally, presented work provides guidelines regarding further investigations required in this field of research.
Comparison of selected parameters of tensile strength of concrete
Rozsypalová, Iva ; Žítt, Petr (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with a comparison of the selected strength tension properties of the hardened concrete and finding relationships between them. This is essentially a simple tensile strength, tensile flexural strength and tensile splitting strength. The text describe the testing procedures to determine the tensile strength of concrete. Furthermore, there are presented the results of testing on different types of concrete (plain concrete, lightweight concrete, steel-fiber concrete, polymer-fibre concrete and high strength concrete). The conclusion deals with the derivation of dependancy between concrete strengths and comparing the values obtained from the available relations with the results of the tests.
The architectural and engineering research of the historical building of gymnasium
Cupl, Jiří ; Schmid, Pavel (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the methodology, implementation and evaluation of diagnostic works used for assesing existing constructions. In the practical part, these methods are applied for preliminary technical construction research of the historical building of gymnasium in Měřín, which is before the planned reconstruction. The results of diagnostic works are interpreted in the summary of the thesis
The effect of the shrinkage reducing additives on rheological properties of high-strength concrete
Červenka, Jiří ; Kucharczyková, Barbara (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Master’s thesis examines the effect of the shrinkage reducing additives on rheological properties of high-strength concrete. The first part is focused on high-strength concrete in terms of their composition and properties. The second part contains a detailed analysis of the cementitious composites shrinkage problems. Total shrinkage is divided into individual elementary shrinkages. For each of them there is a detailed description of causes and factors that affect their sizes. The next part describes the basic additives used to reduce the shrinkage of cementitious composites. The experimental part is focused on verifying the effectiveness of the shrinkage reducing additives during preparation of high-strength concrete. Usage of shrinkage drains for relative strain measurement enables to determine the process of shrinkage immediately after placing the concrete in the form and to obtain the overall curve of the hight-strength concrete volume changes during its setting and hardening. At the end of the thesis, there are overall analysis and summary of the results of the performed experiments.
Design and performance diagnostics of building
Dušek, Erik ; Žítt, Petr (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with diagnostics of a reinforced concrete road bridge, evidential number 325-021 in Hostinné, Hradec Králové region. The goals are to design and partially execute a diagnostic examination. As a part of the thesis, there is a visual inspection of the bridge and survey of the existing design documentation. The conclusion is dedicated to evaluating the diagnostic results and outlining reconstruction.
Noise control of computer-substitutuion of air ventilator with liquid cooling
Daněk, Petr ; Ošmera, Pavel (referee) ; Pellant, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of reducing computer noise by replacement of computer fan cooling with water cooling. Moreover the efficiency of the application of soundproof materials on inner computer is discussed. The sound-level meter Brüel & Kjaer 2231 is used for quantitative evaluation of proposed suggestions.
Architectural and technical inspection of building damaged by fire
Rozsypalová, Iva ; Schmid, Pavel (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Diploma thesis summarizes knowlegde related to the behavior of structures and material in the fire, focusing mainly on concrete and reinforced concrete structures. It deals with the design and implementation of diagnostic work of Building no. 103 in complex Svit Zlín affected by a large fire. There are presented evaluation of laboratory experiments of samples and static analysis.
THE USE OF ELETRONIC MEASURING SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING STRUCTURES
Kovács, Pavel ; Zich, Miloš (referee) ; Doc.Ing. Karel Kubečka, Ph.D (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the use of the electronic measuring systems for monitoring structures. The first part of this work is focused on mapping the available measuring systems for monitoring deformations and strains, from the point of their measurement accuracy, the real advantages and disadvantages, including examples of monitoring of constructions. In the second part were selected measuring systems for monitoring strains and deflection interest structure. Subsequently, the measuring system with online recording into the tested roof structure was installed and the loading test was performed. Obtained data were compared with other two independent measurements. In the last part of the thesis, the measured values of each independent measurements were compared together, and with the values calculated from the mathematical model. The achieved results show that the installed monitoring system is capable to reliably measure deformation of the structure in real time and thus to warn the building administrator against the potential danger in advance.
