Blažek, Daniel ; Peřinová, Radka (advisor) ; Crossan, William Morea (referee)
Title: Sport as a pedagogical tool Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to identify and describe, based on available literature and on interviews with coaches and educators, how sport can be used as a pedagogic tool in practice. Methods: The theoretical part contains an analysis of the literature on the pedagogic impact of sport. On the basis of this analysis, three organisations were selected (Ambassadors FC Praha, Scout, Sokol). These organizations were chosen because their goal is personal formation through sport; moreover I have personal experience with these organizations. For these organisations, an analysis of materials (websites, magazines, methodologies) was carried out in order to identify their values, goals, and pedagogic emphases. In addition, I assessed various psychological and pedagogic studies identifying thus the areas that are most easily influenced through sport. The practical part identifies, through semi-structured interviews with one coach from each selected organisation, what their pedagogic activities look like in practice. In these interviews I inquire about three thematic areas: the values and goals of the organization, the use of sport as a pedagogical tool, and the demands on coaches and their further formation and training. The respondents' statements are then...

Title: Post-Career Transition of Female Professional Basketball Players in the Context of the Czech Basketball Environment Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to find out how former Czech female professional basketball players experienced the process of integration into mainstream life, the factors that influenced it, whether the process was de facto successful or still not completely finished, and to try to find the possibilities of potential facilitations in the period before or during the process by themselves, as well as by clubs or umbrella organizations. Methods: The thesis applies a qualitative data research method using semi-structured interviews with six former professional basketball players. The collected data is then interpreted and compared. Results: The process of transition from professional basketball to everyday life was successful for five respondents and for one respondent it was not successful or still not completed.
