Legal regulation of nature and landscape protection in relation to location of roads Abstract: The relationship between environmental protection and road construction often causes conflicts in society. This dissertation contributes to the discussion by focusing on the analysis of the legal regulation relating to nature and landscape protection in the processes of planning and location of new roads in the Czech Republic. This issue has not yet been comprehensively addressed. It, however, includes the following important questions: How is the route of a planned road lo- cated according to Czech law? How are nature and landscape protection requirements integrated into the location process? How is the issue of landscape fragmentation addressed in the process? What implications may have the current changes of the applicable law? The objective of the dissertation is to create a foundation for a formulation of recommendations aimed at optimiza- tion of the legal framework of nature and landscape protection in the relevant processes in order to ensure the most effective protection of this important public interest even if it has been de- cided to carry out the construction. The dissertation is divided into eight Chapters: The first Chapter includes an introduc- tion to the issue and formulates research questions...
Environmental migration and legal instruments of its prevention in the Czech Republic
Chaloupková, Alena ; Sobotka, Michal (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of environmental migration and with possible legal instruments of its prevention in the Czech Republic. Based on an analysis of the extent of the issue, it identifies three areas of environmental migration causes that are relevant in the conditions of the Czech Republic: (1) climate change and its impacts, (2) implementation of development projects, and (3) industrial accidents and pollution. It analyses and evaluates important legal instruments of prevention and protection of the inhabitants in these areas. In particular, climate protection, adaptation to climate change impacts (floods and droughts), protection against excessive resettlement due to development projects (mining, water reservoirs and building of roads), protection against industrial accidents and air protection are assessed. In conclusion, the findings are summarized and the most important legal deficiencies are formulated, eventually some modifications de lege ferenda are proposed.

Farmacoeconomic analysis of distribution of health care product CoreValve
Chaloupková, Aneta ; Klečka, Jiří (advisor) ; Kouřil, Michal (referee)
This diploma work is focused on using economic analysis methods to compare cost-effectivness of an innovative technology for treating aortic stenosis that is transcatheter implantation of an artificial valve CoreValve by Medtronic with traditional treatments. During the analyses we utilized only publicly available data which are often too general while more specific data might not be available because they do not exist or are not publicly available. This work sets up a theoretical foundation for the analyses, performs the analyse sof the product, PEST analyses and cost analyses. Since pacient's willigness to pay index (WTP) in the Czech republic has not yet been measured for this treatment, it is not posible to confirm the cost-effectivness of CoreValve, even though it has been confirmed in several countries based on the literature search related to this topic.
Antitrophoblast cell-mediated immunity /AT-CMI/ in recurrent miscarriage and ectopic pregnacy
Madar, J. ; Kučera, E. ; Šůla, K. ; Chaloupková, A. ; Pěknicová, Jana ; Tolarová, M. ; Nouza, K. ; Kinský, R.
Specific mechanisms operate in decidua nad trophoblast to establish and maintain immunological tolerance of the embryo in mother's uterus. due to the lack of this tolerance, disturbances of pregnancy may result. In this presentation, we have tested the hypothesis that anti-trohhoblast cell-mediated immunity (AT-CMI) is elevated in habitually aborting women and that extra-uterine localisation of the embryo leads to subsequent elevation of AT-CMI.
