Attitudes of children in the selected facility to the issue of their placement and their experiences with addictive substances

The thesis explores the attitudes of children in a selected residential school towards the issue of their placement and their experiences of substance abuse. The theoretical part presents the definition of the term addictive substances, including their division and prevention of use; children's home with school, discusses the reasons for the placement of children in this facility and prevention of risky behavior. The practical part presents an analysis of the reasons for the placement of children in a particular facility as well as an analysis of their experiences with addictive substances before their placement in the facility. The aim is to find out what attitude children placed in a children's home with school have to the issue of the reasons for their placement and to the use of addictive substances. On the basis of the evaluation, with the help of the analysis of the case files and interviews with the selected children and their teachers, a personal development programme for each participant, a prevention programme and a proposal for projects focused on addictive substances for the first and second grade of primary school are proposed. The role of an educational counselor at a primary school from the point of view primary school pupils

The diploma thesis is focused on the role of an educational counselor in elementary school from the perspective of elementary school students. The theoretical part of the work is oriented to the system of consulting services in the Czech Republic, legislative anchoring and insight into the history of consulting services. For the coherence of the text, cooperation with a pedagogical- psychological consultancy, a special pedagogical center and an educational care center is also mentioned in the theoretical part. The theoretical part is mainly focused on the role of an educational advisor. Prerequisites and qualification requirements for the performance of the work of an educational consultant are described here, followed by the ethical principles of the work and, last but not least, the activities of an educational consultant, which are reflected in the practical part. The influence of Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment method on students with combined disabilities

The diploma thesis deals with the method of Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment and its influence on pupils with combined disabilities. The aim is to find out whether and how much the regular application of Feuerstein's method of instrumental enrichment affects pupils with combined disabilities and the development of their cognitive functions. The theoretical part consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the personality of Reuven Feuerstein, his life and the way to create a method of instrumental enrichment. The second part introduces the method of instrumental enrichment, explains in detail what instrumental enrichment is and its origin. The third chapter summarizes the theoretical basis of instrumental enrichment, presents cognitive functions and their possible deficits, and introduces the system of structural cognitive modifiability, its pillars and areas. The content of the bachelor thesis is the processing of Marcela Machata's professional development portfolio, which contains 10 mandatory parts with a binding structure. In the form of a structured autobiography, she introduces her experiences and knowledge. In the professional essay, the author describes the issue of environmental education in the after-school club. The thesis specifies what prevents the educators from adding environmental education into the after-school club program. The essay emphasizes the advantages of a school outside the city close to nature. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the conspectus of the book Školní družina (translated The after school club), which became the author's guide in her professional life. The professional analysis of an educator in the after-school club is described in detail, it also determines the requirements for the profession and the personality of a person for practicing this pedagogical profession. Choice of teaching profession through the eyes of teachers

As the title suggests, this bachelor's thesis is devoted to the choice of a teaching profession. It aims to find out why people decide to become teachers, what leads them to this decision and whether they regret their decision. Three research questions are set out and answers are sought through a research investigation. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part attempts to give the reader an insight into the issue and describes the starting points that are crucial for the practical part. The practical part is devoted to the research investigation. A qualitative approach was chosen, specifically the in-depth interview method. A total of six interviews were conducted with current teachers. Based on the data obtained from the interviews, the research questions were answered. The results of the research investigation are quite clear. Teachers do not perceive their profession as prestigious. They see room for improvement mainly in financial evaluation and the view of the public. Despite the perception that their profession is not prestigious, teachers are satisfied with their career. Art Nouveau art in children's free time

The bachelor's thesis focuses on Art Nouveau art in leisure time. In the first, theoretical part, I focus on defining the concepts of free time, the functions of free time, and the introductory characteristics of Art Nouveau, where I mainly deal with decorative elements such as stucco, painting and sculpture decoration, stained glass, metal elements, and lighting. The practical part is devoted to a project that I created for leisure-time educators and art teachers. Based on the created project, I discussed with art teachers and workshop instructors about the project and supplemented my bachelor thesis with their outputs. The project concept is divided into four blocks that are interconnected and intended for second-grade students. In the first block, I focus on searching for Art Nouveau symbols during a walk around the architecture in Prague. The second block is devoted to discovering Art Nouveau jewelry and its creation. The third block focuses on architecture and the creation of a model. The last, fourth block is devoted to the theme of the vernissage and its preparation, as well as an overall reflection on all the blocks.
Leisure time and leisure activities of middle school age pupils in Slaný

This bachelor thesis deals with leisure time and leisure activities of middle school age pupils in Slaný. The thesis consists of two parts - theoretical and research. The theoretical part describes and defines the basic concepts related to the work, such as leisure, leisure education, leisure education facilities and characteristics of secondary school-age children. The last chapter is then devoted to a brief description and characteristics of leisure education in Slaný. The research part elaborates on a questionnaire survey conducted among sixth and seventh grade pupils of primary school in Slaný. The main objectives were to find out how pupils spend their free time, what leisure activities and clubs they prefer in their free time and whether or not there is satisfaction with the offer of leisure activities in Slaný. Employment influence of selected PedF UK students during their full-time university studies

The thesis deals with the issue of the impact of employment on the studies of full-time students at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. The theoretical part of the introduction describes the development of tertiary education and the field of pedagogical disciplines, the issues related to balancing study and work life, the reasons why not only full-time students opt for employment, and finally, how this affects their studies and related activities. The practical part of the thesis presents the results of a quantitative research study, which was conducted through an anonymous online questionnaire involving 160 respondents who met the given conditions (full-time study, 2nd or higher year at the Faculty of Education, Charles University). The main research objective was to determine the impact of employment intensity and compatibility on the studies of full-time university students at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. The results showed that 148 respondents were employed during their studies, of which 96 worked in a compatible job. These respondents who worked during their studies were not significantly affected by the intensity of their employment on the number of hours spent studying and self-studying, unlike respondents who had incompatible employment.
