Selected issues of registration of immovables in the Czech lands between years 1918 and 1989 Abstract This diploma thesis "Selected issues of registration of immovables in the Czech lands between 1918 and 1989" follows the development of the legal regulation of registries of immovables in which information about these immovables - land and buildings - and legal relations to these properties were registered. These registries are analysed from a legal historical perspective. The purpose of each registry was different, records were kept for tax, economic and other purposes. This thesis is divided into 5 chapters according to the respective periods of development of Czechoslovakia. The first chapter deals with registries of immovables that were used before the establishment of the Czechoslovakia. The second chapter deals with registries of immovables used during the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic. These registries were Land Tax Cadastre, later replaced by a Cadastre of Lands; and Land Registry Books. The fourth chapter deals with Real Estate Registry after 1964. The fifth chapter outlines the current legal regulations. The development of registries focuses on the...

Studnička, František ; Šouša, Jiří (advisor) ; Blažek, Lukáš (referee)
in English Selected issues of legal and social status of executioners in the Bohemian lands from the 16th to the middle of the 19th century from a legal historical perspective The aim of this thesis is to comprehensively elaborate the legal and social situation of executioners and knackers in the Bohemian lands from the 16th to the middle of the 19th century. In particular, the specific rules and restrictions that applied to executioners, based on the legal regulations and decisions of the public authorities, as well as on the general social situation and the attitude of individual persons. The thesis also describes some myths and prejudices concerning executioners and compares them with reality. An important aspect is the concept of honour and its influence on everyday life, as well as the impact of its reduction. Also important are the exceptions to the various rules and the reasons or possible reasons for those exceptions. The thesis achieves these goals mainly by the method of deduction and induction using historical sources and legal regulations. It also compares the legal regulations with public authorities decisions and real situations. This reveals which norms were followed and which were rather overcome by the social aspects of dishonour. Grammatical, historical and comparative...
Regulation of Civil Service between 1918 and 1938
Vodárková, Mahulena ; Šouša, Jiří (advisor) ; Blažek, Lukáš (referee)
Civil service regulation 1918-1938 Abstract The civil service in the sense of the officials working within the state apparatus appeared in the Czech lands during the modern age, but it did not acquire a solid legal form until the second half of the 19th century. At this time, there was a need of normatively enshrining the rights and obligations of the civil servants, and the result of this effort was the adoption of Act No. 15/1914 Coll., so called the service pragmatics. This legal regulation was subsequently adopted into the Czechoslovak legal system. The service pragmatics thus applied during the First and Second Czechoslovak Republic, but during this period it was amended several times and some parts of it were changed to correspond to the new conditions within a democratic Czechoslovakia. In addition to the adjustment of the service pragmatics, which was already established by the Constitution from 1920 (it introduced, for example, an equality before the law, equal rights for women, who could subsequently enter the service, etc.), there were several other norms adopted during the 1920s and 1930s that amended or supplemented the provisions of the service pragmatics. Such legal regulations included, for example, Act No. 103/1926 Coll., the Salary Act, which amended the remuneration of the civil servants...

Blažek, Lukáš ; Šouša, Jiří (referee)
The so called 'operation Kulak' and its impact in the districts Chrudim and Hlinsko Abstract The submitted doctoral thesis analyses the problem of a violent phase of collectivization in Czechoslovakia in the 1950's, with a particular focus on the so called 'Operation Kulak.' In the first part, the author analyses the historical background of collectivization and therefore at first provides with significant milestones in the history of Czechoslovakia. He focuses mainly on the development after the Second World War, with a particular aim to inquire into the relation of land confiscation made on the ground of Czechoslovakian president's decrees. Specific attention is also paid to the fundamental regulations, which are connected either with the agricultural production, land ownership, or with the violent phase of collectivization. Moreover, the author introduces 'Operation Kulak' nationwide. He gives a detailed description of the preparation of the most significant events linked to the above-mentioned operation, including pretexts for its implementation known as 'Babice case' (1951). 'Operation Kulak' was prepared in the highest ranks of the Czechoslovak Communist Party with an involvement of closest collaborators of Klement Gottwald. This operation was aimed against wealthy and medium sized farmers including...

The political process with Dagmar Šimková and others
Blažek, Lukáš ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Soukup, Ladislav (referee)
The theme of this dissertation is the "Political trial with Dagmar Šimková and others". The aim of my work was to deal with this case of a young condemned in a political trial, to observe it in a larger context and to describe in general an important period of Czechoslovakia history, the fifties and sixties of 20th century on this concrete example. In my work I dealt with four hypothesis. The first one was that the case of Dagmar Šimková as a part of a larger action called "Deserters" was provocated by States security. Second hypothesis was that there was no statewide organised spy group lead by Bohumil Klíma or anyone else whose Dagmar Šimková had been a member and that there were only many people who - in some cases - only knew each other and with no other intention helped two deserters to hide. The third hypothesis I set in my work was that the trial was a political one which fulfiled the main characteristics of a political trial. And the last hypothesis I worked with was that althoug Dagmar Šimková was sentenced in a political trial, she intentionally did an illegal activity she was sentenced for. However, her social dangerousness was not as big as it was described in the sentence. The disertation is divided into three main parts. In the first part, I tried to focus in general on the basis which...
