Chassis for Race Car Category E2
Šikuta, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This work deals with the design of chassis for race car category E2 made from aluminium honeycomb sandwich, design of roll cage and conception of engine mount. In the text are FEM analysis, which are focused on torsional rigidity of chassis and strength properties of roll cage.
Increasing Performance of Honda 1.6 Engine
Opluštil, Vít ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the description and performance of four-stroke internal combustion engine, an analysis of the options and finding the most effective treatment for a given engine type. In the next section the author deals with computational design turbochargers, chosen for the turbocharged engine modification. Next chapter of work is a design calculation for the choice of the turbocharger, is then constructed a mathematical model of a given engine in the Lotus Engine Simulation software and final results are presented.
Construcion of small-serie sport car
Brhel, Štěpán ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Zháňal, Lubor (advisor)
The object of the bachelor thesis is to create review of used solutions to chassis and bodyschells of small-serie sport cars. Then selection of proper driving units, so engines and gearboxes. Last part considers rules governing connivance of small-serie sport cars for common traffic.
Design of Intake manifold with variable length for experimental SI engine
Jelínek, Petr ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This thesis discusses of the intake tract four-stroke ignition internal combustion engine and the filling efficiency and opportunities to increase this efficiency and consequently to optimize the course of torque and power at the specified serial engine. 3D model is the last point of this thesis.
Station for measuring valve train mechanism
Martinček, Matej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with valvetrains of internal combustion engines. For the right function and for the future development of valvetrains is important to know their characteristics. One of the characteristic is dependence of valve lift on angular position of camshaft. For this purpose was developed and build universal station where is possible to measure this characteristic.
Reduce the production of pollutants in the exhaust gases of modern engines
Matuška, Jaroslav ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The main scope of this bachelor thesis is reduction of the production of pollutants in the exhaust gases of modern engines. It describes observed undesirable emissions and legislation which regulates pollutants ratio. It focuses on methods of reduction of the pollutants content in the exhaust gases and outlines the trends and future in this engineering area.
Camshaft design for Miller cycle engine
Dúlovcová, Gabriela ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is the analysis of influence of inlet valve opening length and compression ratio on performance and thermodynamic parameters of Miller cycle using GT-SUITE software. Next step was an optimization of inlet and exhaust valve timing with goal of increasing motor effective power. For chosen option was designed cam shaft with regard of kinematic and dynamic magnitude courses.
Computational model of an CR diesel combustion engine
Kučera, Vlastimil ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Combustion-engine control is one of the most important parts of engine application and has a direct impact on its characteristics. Diploma thesis shows the preparation of a test engine and its installation to test cell. It describes measurement and data post processing necessary for common-rail diesel engine control and their application in the creation of a mathematic model in GT-SUITE.
Intake and exhaust manifold for the truck engine
Koksa, David ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The master’s thesis is focused on creating a thermodynamic model of the diesel engine for heavy commercial vehicle. After the model was created, new intake and exhaust pipes are designed based on simulations. Those proposed pipes variants are compared with the series design. After evaluating individual variants, the final version of the new pipes is selected and 3D model for this version is created.
Con Rod design and optimization of racing engine
Ulman, Jaroslav ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis describes the design and optimization of connecting rod motor racing car. At the beginning of the whole work is a 3D-model of rods, from which then the whole work is based. Then it analyzes the current model of stress and on the basis of the results are made structural changes to the solution of rods. Newly adapted connecting rod is again analyzed using FEM and newly obtained results are compared with results of the original model of connecting rods. The conclusion deals with sensitivity analysis of selected parameters of rods and their potential effect on the resulting changes in strength connecting rod .Then is an assessment of all results.
