Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on seniors living in retirement homes
Daušová, Jana ; Rynda, Ivan (advisor) ; Beránková, Anna (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and pandemic measures on the everyday lives of seniors who live in nursing homes. The aim of the thesis was to learn about the seniors' perspective on the changed situation and to get their opinion on some of the government measures affecting their lives. A mixed methods research was used to obtain the necessary data that lead to deep insight into the issue. First, interviews were conducted, which served as a pilot...
The in vitro effects of selected substances on isolated rat aorta
Beránková, Anna ; Pourová, Jana (advisor) ; Vopršalová, Marie (referee)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology Student: Anna Beránková Supervisor: PharmDr. Jana Pourová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The in vitro effects of selected substances on isolated rat aorta Flavonoids are a numerous group of secondary plant metabolites. Flavonoid compounds are substances widely extended in nature and many of them have a positive influence on human health, primarily for their vasodilatory, antioxidant and anti- inflammatory effects. Three substances were selected for this diploma theses: two substances of isoflavonoid group, genistin and genistein, and the end product of genistein metabolism, 4-ethylphenol. The aim of this work is examination of vasorelaxant effects of this substances in vitro. Vasorelaxing potential of tested substances was tested in vitro in isolated aortic rings of Wistar rat. The effect of increasing doses of individual substances in precontracted aortic rings with intact endothelium was measured. From the obtained values of vessel tension, the DRC curves and EC50 values were created. The results were evaluated. The results analysis shows, that genistein (EC50 2,903.10-5 M) had the most significant activity. Also genistin (EC50 4,045.10-4 M) and high doses of 4-ethylphenol (EC50 1,509.10-3 M) caused...
Evaluation of the quality of social service by the service user
Holubová, Alena ; Hradcová, Dana (advisor) ; Beránková, Anna (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis and evaluation of existing methods of evaluating the quality of social services in a particular organization. These innovative methods with elements of social service user participation can serve as specific recommendations for creating a methodology for user participation in the process of evaluating and improving services. As part of the provision of social services, it is necessary to look for ways to work with the specific abilities and needs of clients and find innovative ways to involve service clients in the entire process of evaluation and measurement of quality. The basis of the innovative method is the empowerment, cooperation, and integration of clients into the entire process, which can then positively affect the direction of social services. The analysis is performed by the means of comparing and contrasting the ideal models of the positions of women as designed by the architects of the system with the actual application on the example of selected characters. The ultimate aims of this thesis are to prove the innate sexism and misogyny of the...

Beránková, Anna ; Topolovská, Tereza (advisor) ; Chalupský, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to examine the ways in which the female characters of two well-known works, namely William Golding's novel The Double Tongue (1995) and Arthur Miller's play The Crucible (1953), are exploited by male characters in pursuit of their ambitions. The interpretation of both literary works is mainly based on historical and socio-cultural study of the periods as well as works of literary criticism. Abstracting the main features regarding the theme of this thesis that connect the two periods, the two literary works are compared. The influence of the quality of the colostrum on the growth and health of calves
BERÁNKOVÁ, Anna
Bachelor thesis presents a summary of the importance of colostrum, its composition and compared to mature milk. Colostrum contains important proteins that ensure the health status of the calf. Total protein in colostrum contains important life immunoglobulins, which are involved in immunity calves. For quality connection and future health of calves, you need timely connection quality colostrum and calf submit a corresponding amount. Another important stage in the life of the calf, contributing to good growth and health, the feed technique, which is described in the relevant literature review section. There is also characterized by the meaning and role of colostral immunoglobulin. The methodology applied by methods of measuring the quality of colostrum and measuring total protein in blood serum from calves. In my own research were processed by the information provided by the company VHD Hradiště. Here, the work was focused on the maternal calves and influences the quality of the colostrum to calves and further quantities of immunoglobulins absorbed into the bloodstream after connecting colostrum. Prague's cyrilists and their relation to Regensburger cecilianism. Notices to the correspondence of Prague's cyrilists to F. X. Witt
Beránková, Anna ; Gabrielová, Jarmila (referee) ; Slavický, Tomáš (advisor)
The objective of this work is to describe the situation and course of events in the field of Catholic liturgical music in Bohemia and, in particular, in Prague in the 1870s and 1880s. These twenty years are only a part of a larger timeframe, often called the Caecilian Movement, in connection with a church music reform which touched all of Central Europe. Especially in the 1870s, the Czech lands had a close connection with Bavarian Regensburg, being the centre and model of reform efforts for the whole of Central Europe. In addition to collaborations of Prague and Regensburg reformers, vivid correspondence connections were established between them. And namely the letters of the Prague so-called "Cyrillists" addressed to the leading mover of the reform in Regensburg - Franz Xaver Witt - are the main source for this work. These letters, which had been unknown in our country until now, can be found in the Central Bishop Library in Regensburg, together with a twinvolume catalogue containing a detailed list of the letters. Based on these letters, this work shows and comments in more detail the already known data about the respective time period. This work also contains a full wording of the letters from selected correspondence partners of F. X. Witt, together with an index of persons, mentioned herein.
