Assessing Economic Situation of a Company and Proposals for Its Improvement

The diploma thesis evalutes the economic situation of Česká zbrojovka a.s. in the years 2012 to 2020, based on the results of selected financial analysis indicators and statistical methods. The theoretical part desribes financial indicators, time series, regression and correlation analysis. The analytical part contains calculations of financial indicators, some of which are further selected for statistical analysis and on the basis of which the expected development of indicators for the next two years is determined, or the dependence between these selected indicators is revealed. The last part includes suggestions for improving the current economic situation of the company.

The subject of the thesis is the elaboration of a business plan for the foundation of a new company. The company is focused on teaching a foreign languages. This thesis defines basic concepts, objectives, methods, and theoretical knowledge necessary to clarify the subject matter on the basis of which a specific business plan is drawn up. In the conclusion of the thesis, the evaluation of the effectiveness of investing in a particular idea is summarized with the help of dynamic indicators.
