Automated testbed for SIL/PIL testing of embedded application using FPGA
Prusák, Lukáš ; Burian, František (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with designing a testbench for a selected soft-core processor NEORV32 with a RISC-V architecture for simulations of embedded applications in an FPGA environment. The testbench was created in the Vivado environment with the aim of extending it to a testing and validation framework. Basic modules such as GPIO, PWM, UART, and PC were selected and implemented. Several test scenarios have been designed for these modules. The testbench has also been supplemented with additional scripts, to create hierarchically correct project setup and test execution. The work also suggests a few possible ways to improve and expand the testbench.
Indoor flexible wireless CO2 measure system
Válek, Vít ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
Monitoring of the carbon dioxide concentration in the building is carried out for several reasons. One is to ensure hygiene conditions. With the advent of Bluetooth 5.0 came the support of mesh network technology, which is defined by the Bluetooth Mesh standard. By implementing this standard, we can create an extensive network of devices monitoring the concentration of carbon dioxide in the building. Based on the monitored concentration, we can control the air conditioning and ventilation of the spaces, ensuring that the hygiene conditions are met. Thanks to the compatibility of Bluetooth Mesh with Bluetooth Low Energy, it is possible to access individual nodes, e.g. from a mobile phone. The aim of this work is to design and implement a measuring system whose elements will communicate with each other using Bluetooth Mesh wireless technology.
Cartesian manipulator
Bačkovský, Tomáš ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deal with the design of the control of an industrial two-axis manipulator, which will serve as a palletizer of egg spacers. Part of the work is the theory and selection of actuators, description of individual parts of the manipulator. The practical part deals deals with designing of complete electrical documentation, completion of control software and visualization of the panel. Finally, the individual parts are tested on a real manipulator.
Stepper motor driver equipped with industrial communication
Nepivoda, Tomáš ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to design and realize driver for stepper motor, which could be controlled by supervising system using modern industrial communication network. The basis od this thesis is theoretical study on the subject of stepper motor drivers and industrial communication in the field of embedded systems. This theoretical study is then used for selecting the proper communication network and creating concept od the stepper motor. Thesis further describes design procedure and realization of hardware components and subsequent implementation of frimware. Last part of the thesis is dedicated to the creation of simple master device, which would be used for driver testing.
Detecting RTOS Runtime Anomalies
Arm, Jakub ; Jalovecký, Rudolf (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Due to higher requirements of computational power and safety, or functional safety ofequipments intended for the use in the industrial domain, embedded systems containing areal-time operating system are still the active area of research. This thesis addresses thehardware-assisted control module that is based on the runtime model-based verificationof a target application. This subsystem is intended to increase the diagnostic coverage, particularly, the detection of the execution errors. After the specification of the architecture, the formal model is defined and implemented into hardware using FPGA technology. This thesis also discuss some other aspects and embodies new approaches in the area ofembedded flow control, e.g. the integration of the design patterns. Using the simulation, the created module was tested using the created scenarios, which follow the real programexecution record. The results suggest that the error detection time is lower than usingstandard techniques, such a watchdog.
3D Printer Control System
Vítek, Radim ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis describes ways to controll 3D printers. Especially controlling stepper motors with their motion profiles. Furthermore discusses about interpolation algorithms. Attention is also paid to the design of the control board for the 3D printer built on kit Nucleo F411. The last part describes implementation of controll firmware.
Transfer and processing sensoric data over NB-IoT network
Štěpka, Jan ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Bartík, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the wireless sensoric data transmission over NB-IoT network. The theoretical part of this thesis is dedicated to the analysis of LPWAN technology, which is used in IoT devices. And it is also dedicated to the comparison and the analysis of possible NB-IoT providers. Practical part of this thesis deals with the software design for NB-IoT device, which measures physical data and transmits them to the server. Lastly, data are parsed and displayed on the web page.
Injection moulding machine prototype
Cikryt, Adam ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This work deals with the design of a prototype injection molding machine for the company Elzaco s.r.o. The work includes theoretical analysis which breaks down injection molding machine into individual components and describes their functionality and their important parameters. Based on the analysis and determination of critical parameters of the injection molding machine, a detailed model of the injection molding machine is created. There are also requirements for electrical components such as motors, power supplies, heaters, temperature sensors, control electronics. The method of controlling such a machine is also discussed.
Automatic Creation of PLC Program using TIA Portal Openness
Janeček, Pavel ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with automatic generation of PLC program with visualization for model 'Kuličky' through TIA Portal Openness. For this purpose a desktop application "TIAOpennessGenerator", by using programming language C#, was developed. This application generates PLC program according to suitably designed XML schema which works as a "recipe". Both schema and application are written in order to make data generating as universal as possible.
Functional safety for Industry 4 demonstrator
Průdek, Robert ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with safety around the Testbed demonstrator. Changes have been proposed to ensure sufficient security in defined areas. The security features were designed fot the demonstrator assembly and not for individual cells. Then a security design and electronic design of idividual components were created.
