The bachelor’s thesis deals with analysis of the development of border region plotting on section of current Czech-Slovak national border in mountains Javorníky, defined by the hills Malý Javorník and Lemešná, on topographic maps. The primary objective of this thesis is to assess the accuracy of plotting of the border and adjacent region during time, starting with historical maps from the 16th century, through military mapping in 18th – 20th century, up to contemporary topographic maps. First part of the bachelor’s thesis is also devoted to the history and issues of interest section of the Moravian-Slovak borderland.
Map documentation of the historical development of the village Němšová
Zajacová, Terézia ; Andělová, Pavla (referee) ; Ruda, Aleš (advisor)
The content of bachelor thesis is the analysis of avalaible sources of Nemsova. Bachelor thesis describes map data and their content, which is suitable for evaluation of historical development of the city. The available maps shows the city´s territory from the period of military mapping to the present day and captures a range of approximately 250 years. They describe cartographic methods of expression and methods of representation of topographic map content. Based on these documents, the city was subsequently recostructed. The result is the case study, which assesses the development of settlemet in Nemsova. The final study is supported by available maps bases and demographis tables.
Thematic map of urban part in Nová Dubnica
Sliška, Andrej ; Andělová, Pavla (referee) ; Vondrák, Jiří (advisor)
The main object of this barchelor thesis is the design of a thematical map, containing topography and alimetry of a part of a new urban district Dlehé Diely, and a part of the Topoľová street, for Ing. Matej Reháks purpose. Half of the map will be used as a realisation document and half as a pre-project document. The thesis also discusses the theoretical basis of used mapping methods and describes workflow. The map is made to scale 1:1000.
Use of annotation scale for vectorization and generalization of topographic map in MicroStation
Krška, Jakub ; Andělová, Pavla (referee) ; Berková, Alena (advisor)
The MicroStation CONNECT Edition program is characterized by a complete change of the user environment, which the user can also create according to the specified requirements. The result of the work is the creation of a user environment (the ribbon) for drawing a topographic map. At the same time, the annotation scale is implemented for selected elements, its use facilitates the possible generelization of the map. At the end of the work, the created WorkSet is tested on the vectorization of a topographic map and its subsequent generalization.
The Surveying of family house for reconstruction
Trčka, Vojtěch ; Andělová, Pavla (referee) ; Bartoněk, Dalibor (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with surveying the as-built execution of a family house in Blansko for the purpose of reconstruction. The scope of the surveying includes the surroundings of the house, the exterior of the building and its interior. The topological coding method and terrestrial laser scanning method were used for the building survey. The measurements are georeferenced both horizontally and vertically to the official reference systems of the Czech Republic. At the beginning of the thesis, two different coding methods for automated drawing of a 3D wireframe model are theoretically described. Then the laser scanning method is theoretically described. The thesis is then organized chronologically according to the processing workflow. It starts with describing the location and the building object, followed by terrain works, computational works, model creation, production of drawing documentation and evaluation of the model's accuracy. The main outputs of the work are floor plans, vertical sections and visualizations of the family house.
Creation and purpose use of cartographic symbol sets
Andělová, Pavla ; Zvolská, Hana (referee) ; Talhofer,, Václav (referee) ; Stachoň,, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bartoněk, Dalibor (advisor)
The doctoral thesis is focused on the purpose use of existing symbol sets of national map series to create a new harmonized set and to effective use of existing symbols of large scale maps. The theoretical part deals with the development of the theoretical concept of cartographic language, possibilities of cartographic interpretation and procedures for creating symbol sets. This part also provides an overview of national and international organizations and a summary of legislation, which are related to cartographic production and which seek to facilitate sharing and transfering of data among states. Furthermore, this thesis evaluates the current possibilities of purpose use of symbol sets with emphasis on converging cartographic outputs within the Czech Republic and the European Union. The main aim of the thesis is to design a new symbol key, which will be used by the Land Survey Office to distribute a new edition of national map series. The development of new symbols follows the comparison of cartographic interpretation on maps published by national organizations in the Czech Republic and selected countries of the European Union. Simultaneously the whole national map series is undergoing fundamental innovations. This is also described in the thesis. This part of the thesis was created in closed cooperation with the Land Survey Office in Prague and with the support of the Military Geographical and Hydrometeorological Office of General Josef Churavý in Dobruška. The comprehensive symbol set of the new Base Topographic Maps of the Czech Republic at a scale of 1:5 000, 1:10 000, 1:25 000, 1:50 000, 1:100 000 and 1:250 000 is the main result of this thesis. There is designed solution for more effective use of existing symbols in the form of a purpose-built database of symbols for the creation of large scale maps in conclusion of this thesis.
