Effect of environment on the photocatalytic properties of copper oxides
Design of a photovoltaic system with battery storage for a company
Šmatlo, Filip ; Maule, Petr (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on design of the photovoltaic system for the company. The first part describes electricity production from the sun. There are described technologies of production of photovoltaic cells and technology of individual component of photovoltaic system. Furthermore, the concepts of photovoltaic systems and types of connections of these systems to the distribution network are described. Also the Czech legislation, recycling and safety in the field of photovoltaics are described. In the practical part of the thesis is created photovoltaic power station located on the roof of the building. Results of simulation of photovoltaic system created in PVSOL design program are described.
Cuprous Oxide As A Semiconductor Photocatalyst Used For Organic Pollutants Degradation
Šmatlo, Filip
This paper contains discussion about photocatalytic water treatment. Contaminated wateris purified by semiconductor photocatalytic material cuprous oxide exposed to light. Cuprousoxide is inexpensive and easy to synthesize and does not need any additional energy for its production.Cuprous oxide is synthesized purely chemically and the reaction requires commonly usedchemicals as sodium hydroxide, cupric sulphate and ascorbic acid. The photocatalytic activity ofcuprous oxide was examined on degradation of methyl orange dye that is used as a substitute fororganic pollutants. The best achieved level of methyl orange degradation was 61.88 %. At the endof this paper the system for photocatalytic degradation was designed.

Comparing Of 3D Models Used For Shadow Simulation In Pvsol
Šmatlo, Filip
This article mainly describes creating the 3D model in PVSOL[1] and comparing with real 3D model created in photogrammetry software PIX4D[2]. Main advantage of real 3D model is the precision of shading simulations. Any shadow on photovoltaic module decreases output power so it is important to have precise model of every object that could shade photovoltaic modules. This article also describes design of a photovoltaic system in designing software PVSOL.

Fluorescence and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy in microfluidics for monitoring of enzymatic reactions
Pilát, Zdeněk ; Šmatlo, Filip ; Ježek, Jan ; Krátký, Stanislav ; Zemánek, Pavel
We have implemented two different systems for detecting the concentration of molecules in microfluidic systems. The first method uses optical fibers and detects the intensity of fluorescence, while the second method is using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS).
Experimental fluorescence device for dielectrophoretic sorting of droplets in microfluidic chips
Ježek, Jan ; Pilát, Zdeněk ; Šmatlo, Filip ; Zemánek, Pavel
At present, many chemical and biological disciplines use different forms of spectroscopy for their observations. One of the most common methods is fluorescence spectroscopy. During the last seven years, microfluidic techniques began developing rapidly, using channels in which two immiscible liquids create droplets with diameters from units to tens to hundreds of micrometers. These droplets serve as liquid microcontainers containing the analysed sample and the necessary reagents. Using special microfluidic techniques, it is possible to fuse droplets with different contents (controlled triggering of chemical reactions), to change the concentration of reactants in the droplet with high speed (concentration gradients), or sort the droplets by content (creation of new cell strains).\n\n
