The transmission speed enhancement techniques in TKR
Šťovíček, Petr ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to assess and propose possible methods for increasing the transmission speed of the cable television distribution, concretely the UPC network in Brno. The first part of work collectively processes general knowledge and gives the reader into the issue. After that follows an analysis of TV cable networks UPC in Brno, especially view of data transmission. After familiarization with the physical aspect of the network is described data communications itself, including standard DOCSIS, respectively EuroDOCSIS. Particular attention is paid to factors that have effect on data transmission and speed. Benefit is the calculation of dividing ratio in different parts of the network and compared with the real load. As far as possible in the given work results of measurements with regard to the quality of the network. The last part is about how to increase speeds. Perspective solution is mainly a technology which is based on standard EuroDOCSIS 3.0, which introduces the concatenation of individual channels. Result of made tests of first cable modem EuroDOCSIS 3.0 confirms the very high speeds and currently preparedness for other major step in so long development of TV cable network.
Cryptography on constrained devices
Šťovíček, Petr ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Dzurenda, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis analyzes the possibilities of applying cryptographic primitives and protocols to various computationally and memory constrained devices. It then implements a secure data collection system from sensors. In its theoretical part, the work examines individual cryptographic algorithms, the RIOT operating system and available methods of wireless data transmission. It then presents the results of performance tests of various cryptographic operations. On this basis, it designs and implements a system that ensures the confidentiality, authenticity and integrity of transmitted data.
A tool for obtaining contextual information from open sources
Šťovíček, Petr ; Šeda, Pavel (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a tool that can retrieve and present contextual information from several open sources such as Shodan or VirusTotal for a given input (e.g. IP address or domain name). The tool allows for the addition of other sources and can be integrated into other tools through the created clients or API. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the term indicator of compromise, describes some open sources of information and compares similar information aggregation tools.
The nascency and metamorphoses of the Rosenberg tradition in Třeboň. The Edition of the Třeboň´s Reminiscences
ŠŤOVÍČEK, Petr
The present thesis is the first step toward the systematic research on the second life of the House of Rosenberk. Apart from the analytical parts examinig the nascency of the Rosenberk tradition in civic and monastic environment the main interest of the thesis is to make the complex edition of the Třeboň´s Reminiscences available to the broad public. The study establishes for the first time ever the character, range, changes and rising of the component texts in time spheres. The specificity and exceptionality of those texts, as for the new outcome, is based on the fact, that those memories have been maintained in memory of the folk throughout the history, remembered and reminded continually, never forgotten. The important finding is, that some of these texts originated in the spiritual background of the Augustinian Monastery in accord with their meaning of apology of the noble characteristics of Petr Vok. The person of Petr Vok gained great popularity thanks to the Třeboň´s reminiscences in the 19th Century, he became main character of numerous novels and plays, which continued far into the 20th Century and became the foundation to the film adaptation. The interpretation of this source has varied since the 19th Century and has has been appraised differently, from the refusal in the 19th Century to the recognition of the value of notice nowadays.
Universal Security Solution For Iot Data Collection Systems
Šťovíček, Petr
The article presents our data collection solution based on RIOT operating system andMessage Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) technology. Our solution is secure, universal, andeasy to integrate to already existing and often insecure IoT networks. Furthermore, we integrated oursolution into the temperature and humidity monitoring system. This system detects the potentiallydangerous level of these physical quantities and warns users by smartphone notification about relevantthreats such as the impact on the infectivity of COVID-19.

Liability for Damage Caused by a Defective Product
Šťovíček, Petr ; Švestka, Jiří (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jan (referee) ; Vychopeň, Martin (referee)
Dissertation Thesis Abstract - Liability for Damage Caused by A Defective Product JUDr. Petr Šťovíček The subject-matter of the dissertation thesis is the relationship of legal liability for damage inflicted upon a consumer by a defective product. The paper describes the statutory definition of the relationship, in particular, without limitation, the preconditions to the establishment of liability of the individual entities on the part of entrepreneurs participating in all phases of the product distribution from the moment of its manufacturing, or, as the case may be, it import to the Czech Republic, to the moment of its sale to the end consumer; limits of the liability and possibilities through which the consumer may claim compensation of the caused damage. The first part of the paper focuses on the above mentioned issued of general legal regulation applicable to liability, its historical development and types; it has a rather generally descriptive nature. Special civil law regulation of liability is provided for also in a number of special Acts, in particular in Act No. 59/1998 Coll., on Liability for Damage Caused by A Product Defect. The second part of the thesis provides an outline of the legal regulation covering the sphere of consumer protection with respect to liability relationships incurring in...
Detection of Global and Local Ischemic Changes in Electrical Field of the Heart
Šťovíček, Petr ; Kittnar, Otomar (advisor) ; Kneppo, Peter (referee) ; Horký, Karel (referee)
In this thesis, detailed investigation into the electrical field of the heart is presented in patients with various manifestations of myocardial ischemia. Methods of standard scalar electrocardiography and body surface potential mapping were used through statistical and mathematical analysis in order to compare their diagnostic performance. Body surface mapping proved to be more powerful research and diagnostic tool than standard electrocardiography and also constituted a framework for data entering the computer electrical model of the human heart and torso. Global and local ischemic changes were the primary objectives of the individual studies of this thesis. Different patient populations were studied including post myocardial infarction population, patients with variant angina and patients referred for percutaneous coronary angioplasty, and the population of patients suffering from ventricular arrhythmias related mostly to their postinfarction status. Traditional depolarization and repolarization changes were studied together with novel diagnostic parameters such as minimal potential loss within the QRS complex, single-beat cardiac micropotentials and distribution of the QT interval on the human thorax. Critical appraisal and error performance of so called QT interval dispersion was another important...
