Idea of Political Equality in Democratic Thought of Nadia Urbinati and Jeffrey Green
Bureš, Robin ; Bíba, Jan (advisor) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focussed on political equality in democratic thought of Nadia Urbinati and Jeffrey Edward Green. Both authors understand unequal share of political power between citizens as a one of the most significant problems of current liberal democracies. However, each of them approaches the problem differently. Green understands the unequal access to decision power as a today's reality of contemporary democracies that is only hardly going to change. With his concept of ocular democracy, he seeks new ways of popular empowerment. Nadia Urbinati is defending her conception of democracy as a diarchy, which is a political arrangement based on separation of two types of civil power, will and opinion. In her theoretical work, Urbinati tries to combine the reality of today's mass societies with the democratic ideals. The bachelor thesis is focused on these two approaches. First is introduced Green's theory (including the contextual and historic background of his theoretical approach). Secondly the theory of Nadia Urbinati is presented. Conclusion of the work represents a brief reflection about the particularity of both approaches and their importance to contemporary theory of democracy. Keywords: Jeffrey Edward Green, Nadia Urbinati, political equality, ocular democracy, plebiscitary...

Kravčík, Jakub ; Kaprálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
Name: The Role of the Players Agent in the Process of a Football Transfer Goals: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the matter of a football transfer with a special focus on the role of the player's agent in the whole process. Methods: This work uses a qualitative method, specifically a semi-structured interview, with an available and partially influenced sample. Results: On the basis of this research, it turned out that it is very difficult to generalize the issue of a football transfer, because in many cases it is an individual matter in which many factors can enter. It also became clear that the players agent has a major role in the transfer and the success of a transfer often depends on him/her/the agent. The results of this thesis also show the difference in opinions and knowledge between the main stakeholders in a transfer and also point out the need for a bigger attention from both the academics and the football community. Keywords: stakeholder analysis, transfer stakeholders, Czech Republic, football, football agent, player agent

Šíma, Jan ; Němcová, Andrea
This paper presents an experimental cuff-less measurementof systolic (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP)using smartphone. A photoplethysmographic signal (PPG) measuredby a smartphone camera is used to estimate blood pressure(BP). This paper contains comparison of several machinelearning (ML) methods for BP estimation. Filtering the PPGsignal with a band-pass filter (0.5-12 Hz) followed by featureextraction and using Random Forest (RF) methods separatelyor as a weak regressor in adaptive boosting (AdaBoost) or bootstrapaggregating (Boosting) reached the best results accordingto Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation(AAMI) and British Hypertension Society (BHS) standardsamong all regression ML models. The mean absolute error(MAE) and standard deviation (SD) of Bagging model were4.532±3.760 mmHg for SBP and 2.738±3.032 mmHg for DBP(AAMI). This result meets the criteria of the AAMI standard.
