Formulation of Oligoester Nanoparticles
Černá, Marcela ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
Title: Formulation of oligoester nanoparticles Author: Marcela Černá Abstract: The aim of presented thesis is directed on the preparation method of biodegradable oligoester nanoparticles with embedded biologically active ingredient. Our interest was focused on the enlargement of knowledge concrete possibilities of nanoparticles preparation in the sense of parameters related to their pharmacokinetic activity and physical stability, such as particle size and electrokinetic potential. Nanoparticulate systems were prepared by solvent evaporation method (emulsion oil in water), dicloromethane was used as the solvent. Emulsifying agents of four types had been used in various binary mixtures. Four polymeric carriers differing in the branching degree were used. Terbinafine was selected as model drug substance. Size and electorokinetic potential of the prepared microparticles were measured using Zetasizer device (Malvern Instruments). From the presented results of experiments it is possible to conclude the possibility of preparation of stable nanoparticles with the diameter under 200 nm.
Prof. Rudolf Jedlička (1869-1926) and the medical and social institutions bound up with his activities
Černá, Marcela ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor) ; Rákosník, Jakub (referee)
Rudolf Jedlička belongs to the most important Czech doctors of the beginning of the 20th century. After finishing his studies he engaged, under the influence of his favourite professor Karel Maydl, in surgery. Nevertheless he was very soon interested in X-ray science and radiology - the science branches, which were just newly being formed, and whose pioneer in the central Europe he became. Jedlička was often consulted as a diagnostic and operator thanks to his many-sided medical skills. He connected his life with the Faculty of Medicine of the Czech Charles-Ferdinand University, respectively Charles University, where he was engaged as an educationalist - creator of so called Jedlička school, which became bearer of his medical heritage. He reached the top of his career in 1921, when he was designated as regular professor of surgery and simultaneously head of the II. Clinic of Surgery. Rudolf Jedlička did not limit his activities only to medical theory and practice, but he was also initiator and organizer of many medical and social projects, the most important of which was the foundation of Prague sanatorium and neighbouring Jedlička foundation. Prague sanatorium was opened in May 1914 as a general hospital covering all specializations except of infectious and mental illnesses. The sanatorium arrived...
The Commission for making the river Vltava and the river Labe in Bohemia navigable 1986 - 1931
Černá, Marcela ; Jakubec, Ivan (advisor) ; Hájek, Jan (referee)
The Commission for making the river Vltava and the river Labe in Bohemia navigable was founded in 1896 on the basis of a decree of the ministry of interior as the first water management office to be systematically engaged in making Czech rivers navigable by the canalization method. The Commission was headed by the vice-regent of the Kingdom of Bohemia to whom the members of state's and country's curia were subordinate. The executive section was represented by the central office, composed of the technical and administrative departments. Its activities were financed by two thirds by the Austrian state, one third was paid from the Czech country's treasury. After the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak republic, both curias were dissolved and the Commission was put under the control of the ministry of public works. The president of the country's political administration was appointed as the head of the Commission. The competence of the Commission was step by step extended from the initially entrusted task of making the river Vltava and the river Labe in the division Prague - Ústí nad Labem navigable also to making the river Vltava in Prague navigable as well as to the adaptation of the Holešovice port in Prague to a modern trade port and to drawing up studies on the utilization of water...
