Expansion of a Czech Producer of Modular Wood Buildings on the Intra-community Market

The diploma thesis deals with a proposal of business development of the company DOMESTAV PLUS s.r.o., which deals with the production of modular wooden buildings. The theoretical part contains defining the terms connected with the intra-community market, the conditions for entering this market and description of selected analyses of company’s external and internal environment. These analyses are applied in the practical part as basis for the proposal of an appropriate strategy for the development, consisting in the expansion of the company into the intra-community market. On the basis of the results of the analyzes is made the proposal of changes, which leads to increased competitiveness and improvement of the company's economic situation. The proposal part also deals with identification of the risks associated with the implementation of this change.

The diploma thesis is focused on possible customs issues during order processing in the manufacturing company. The theoretical part of this thesis contains definition of the world trade basic terms and a description of the customs clearance process. In the practical part, there is a description of the ordering procedure with attention to customs issues and rules in international trade. It includes a project draft which should provide the company with the improvement of the monitored indicators such as the quantity of delayed deliveries for distribution centers or the number of customs inspections.

This part is followed by an analytical part with an analysis of the current state of society. The last part contains the actual solution proposals, including a financial plan and timetable.

This master’s thesis deals with the influence of innovation activities on foreign trade of a particular company. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with knowledge from the field of competitiveness, international trade and innovation. The second, practical part of the thesis analyses the influence of the performed innovation on the foreign trade of the company in the form of sales, operating profit and ROA, established and tested hypotheses. The aim of the thesis is, based on the assessment of the impact of product innovation on foreign trade, to propose appropriate measures in the field of foreign or domestic market for a particular company.
