KRÁLOVÁ, Lucie
This Bachelor work deals with the burnout syndrome in assisting professions focusing especially on the personality of the special educator. The introductory part defines the concept of the burnout syndrome and describes its historical development. It also presents the risk factors participating in its origin, approaches the symptoms that may occur during the burnout syndrome and distinguishes it from other mental conditions. The issue concerning the possible prevention and treatment of the already identified burnout forms also an important part of the work. Finally, it deals with the characteristics of assisting professions and with the occupation of the special educator. The practical part is devoted to the research of the burnout syndrome at special educators who have had at least ten years of experience. It is based on qualitative research methods conducted through the semi-structured interview and completed by questionnaire enquiries. The task of this section is to bring current information about the situation concerning the burnout syndrome among special educators. The aim is to find out originating signs of the burnout in the above mentioned profession, and how workers realise their possible symptoms. Not least, the aim was to find out foreknowledge of special educators about possible prevention of the burnout syndrome. The research results showed that foreknowledge of special educators about the burnout syndrome is at a good level. The research also revealed that the symptoms of the burnout appear in cases of individual respondents but the risk is low-level. It was also shown that the respondents are aware of their symptoms. The only danger can be seen in the prevention of this phenomenon because the foreknowledge in this course is not sufficient. This Bachelor thesis can be used to inform both future and existing special educators about the burnout syndrome and its possible consequences. Furthermore, the work could serve as the basis for the burnout prevention or as an outline of treatment options for the burnout syndrome which has already developed.

This diploma work focuses on demanding and important task of nurses care of patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The problems of Alzheimer's disease represent socially serious and very important subject at present due to the fact that our generation is growing old, which will obviously result in increasing frequency of Alzheimer?s disease occurrence. In addition to it burn out syndrome is mentioned here because due to the syndrome the nursing personnel is exposed to extreme psychic and physical load. The Alzheimer Programme Plan in the Czech Republic is presented in order to get better idea about activities in our country. The second objective was to ascertain what is considered by nurses to be the most problematic area within the range of nursing care of the aforementioned patients suffering from Alzheimer?s disease and the third objective of our research was to ascertain the contribution of specialised Alzheimer centres. The above-specified objectives have been fulfilled. In addition to it another research questions have been defined as follows: what is the level of exacting character of nursing work of the nurses taking care of the patients suffering from Alzheimer?s disease, what do the nurses see as the most problematic area within the range of nursing care of the aforementioned patients suffering from Alzheimer?s disease within the range of nursing care, what is the contribution of specialised Alzheimer centres and what nursing care should be provided in the specialised Alzheimer centres. The answers of the interviewed nurses have been worked out in the form of sixteen case reports and subsequently category matrices (tables) containing the most important data were created from the aforementioned reports. The examination took place in the time period from March 2011 to June 2011. The results of our work could serve as a feedback for hospitals and sanatoria first of all for those where the examinations took place. Furthermore the results may be used for keeping public informed about the possibilities of helping patients suffering from Alzheimer?s disease e.g. in the form of information booklet.
The usage of supervision in medical facilities
ZETKOVÁ, Bohumila
There are basic concepts relating to the presented topic, such as supervision and health care institutions, explained in the theoretical part of this master thesis. In its practical part, there are results of the research undertaken by means of a questionnaire survey and amended by two half-standardized interviews in the end. The questionnaires were sent to health care institutions to the regions of Zlin and South Bohemia. Interviews were done with managers of health care institutions, on in the region of Zlin and the other in the region of South Bohemia. The target of research was to find out if supervisions are really provided in health care institutions in the regions of Zlin and South Bohemia. The partial target of research was to map occurrence of supervision used individual types of health care institutions (in the two mentioned region of Czech Republic). There are two hypotheses stated in the thesis. Hypothesis no. 1 is determined in the following way: ?Supervision is more often used in the region of Zlin than in the region of South Bohemia?. Hypothesis no. 2 is: ?Supervision is more often is ordered by a manager and regarded as a duty than prevention of a ?burnout? by nurses. Neither of the hypotheses is proved. I will be very pleased if the thesis provokes a few people at least to think about issues of supervision in health care institutions. Further, the thesis can serve as study material for students studying the field of health services. And last but not least, the thesis could serve as an initial impulse to perform other researches in the field of supervision in health care institutions in other regions.

Burnout Syndrome Threat in the Unemployed
HEGER, Helena
The topic of the bachelor thesis is a burnout syndrome threat in the unemployed. ?Work? has a great importance for the life of man; a paid job is, in the first place, a guarantee of a certain social and economic status. Having lost a job, an individual finds himself in a very unpleasant situation that can be characterized by a change in standard of living, loss of social dignity or prestige, and social isolation. Unemployment is therefore accompanied with a number of negative phenomena, influencing life in its full range and capacity. Lack of workload, destruction of the set time patterns of the day, mental pressure, as well as negative attitude towards the phenomenon itself, can be characterized as chronical stress with a negative influence on both mental and physical health. The bachelor thesis describes the problem of uneployment and burnout syndrome theoretically. As a part of the problem analysis, a sociological probing has been carried out, with the aim to access the level of satisfaction and burnout syndrome risks within a group of unemployed people.
