International Organisation for Migration and African Union and their actions towards sustainable development in East Africa

This thesis focuses on the African Union (AU) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), analysing their respective roles in implementing sustainable development in East Africa from 2015 to 2020. The essential research questions investigate how international organisations influence the process of socialisation and the acceptance of norms related to climate change, migration, and sustainable development. Furthermore, this research uses concepts of social constructivism, such as the norm cycle and socialisation, and outlines the two organisations approaches to regional actors in East Africa. In this qualitative analysis, a case-study approach is adopted to help understand how different international organisations promote norms related to the same topics in the same region. To conduct the investigation, documents published by both international organisations are examined using critical discourse analysis. The results showed that the International Organisation for Migration draws attention to the positive contribution of migration to sustainable development and the living conditions of migrants. Pedagogical support plan for premature babies according to the WELCOME IDEA app

The thesis focuses on the area of diagnostics in preschool children in kindergarten in the Hradec Králové region. The main aim of this thesis is to set up a pedagogical support plan, the first level of support measures according to the WELCOME IDEA application for premature children. Another aim is a practical demonstration of how to work with the pedagogical support plan according to the WELCOME IDEA application, analysing its possibilities and limits. Last but not least, the aim is to underline the need of diagnostics in preschool children as a tool for an appropriate pedagogical support plan, which is not only a means for teachers to create optimal learning opportunities for children. The thesis has two parts. In the theoretical part we meet the concepts of family and parenting, psychological needs of parents of premature children, ontogeny of the premature child, psychomotor, communication and socialization in preschool children. The thesis also includes the methodology for the research investigation. The practical part consists of a demonstration of work with the WELCOME IDEA application, setting up individual pedagogical support plans for selected objects of the investigation. The position of single mothers in and outside the family

The bachelor thesis focuses on single mothers and their position in the family and in society. The work is oriented to the current Czech environment and pays attention exclusively to single mothers due to their numerical superiority in single-parent families. The aim of the work is to present how single motherhood looks like nowadays and at the same time to uncover possible pitfalls that can be associated with single parenthood. The work is mainly focused on the difficulties of single mothers in the labor market, on economic problems and on problems of an emotional nature. Thanks to a qualitative investigation and ten semi- structured interviews, it is possible to identify in more detail how single mothers really perceive their situation and how they interpret it. The results of the work can bring people closer to the real situation of single mothers and at the same time they can stimulate further steps to improve it.
