Public Awareness of Dietary Supplement, Vitamins and Selected Micronutrients Abstract The thesis titled "Public Awareness of Dietary Supplements, Vitamins and Selected Micronutrients" examines the factors influencing the respondents' awareness of dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals and trace elements, as well as possible associations between financial income and the quantity of dietary supplements taken. For the thesis, quantitative research was chosen using an anonymous questionnaire survey in which a total of 164 respondents participated. Based on their responses, the respondents were grouped according to the parameters under study and the test score of each respondent was evaluated to determine the level of awareness. The research shows a statistically significant association between the level of...
Public attitudes towards crystal meth users
Salayová, Sarah ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
This Bachelor thesis investigates how media outlets portray and discuss meth users. Specifically, the thesis aims to identify and analyze the patterns, stereotypes, and biases present in media portrayals of meth users. It also seeks to confirm or reject pre-established hypotheses. The thesis employed a quantitative content analysis of 75 selected print and online news articles published between 2021 and 2024. The analysis focused on identifying the frequency of stigma, minority/race representation, selected topics, and other key aspects. The collected data was then systematically coded and categorized based on the research objectives. After coding, data analysis was conducted using Excel. The main findings from the data analysis confirmed both pre-established hypotheses. Meth users are portrayed in the media in a stereotypical and stigmatizing way. Additionally, the results indicate that the Roma community is overrepresented in the media in connection with meth use. Articles associating Roma people with meth use were predominantly negative in tone. The thesis highlights problematic trends in the media portrayal of meth users, emphasizing the stereotypes and prejudices they face, as well as the discrimination against the Roma community in relation to this issue. These findings underline the need for...

In an Apartment in a small town, Mikulov
Solár, Michal ; Kozelský, Tomáš (referee) ; Hora, Jan (advisor)
The concept is based on the historical development of the plot and the city as such. Historically, the area has been defined by self-help and without clearly specified dogmatic guidelines. It is thanks to this that the city is enriched with moments that do not fulfill only the aesthetic or spiritual, but also the functional nature of the city. The moment of surprise and certain visas enriches the interior of the yard as well as the city. At first glance, such annoying spaces have a certain quality, caused by the play of light or the overall concept of space. An important feature of the object is the moment of surprise from the perceived space. The transition from a clearly defined ground floor to the rear, at first glance, irrational courtyard is enhanced by a passage, which also refers to the typical division of the small town house. ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTION The principle of layering of individual spaces clearly reflects the moments of surprise. By specific fragmentation of the building, a character that resembles rather a family house as a residential object, spaces of different quality and utilization are created. The lower dwellings have a spatially and optically separated garden from the total mass, with the top terrace being terraces which are optically linked to the courtyard, but are not accessible to the public. The apartments in the attic have mostly urban character. This creates the principle of co-existence, which is typical of the whole area of the city. The layering is evident in the distribution of flats with different connections to gardens and terraces as well as the variety of housing units. The spirit of the place is a standing cellar that reflects the historical transformation of the parcel and is a symbol of the locality.

Primary Architecture / Architecture is Coming
Ivkovičová, Natálie ; Eichlerová, Eva (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
The aim of the work is to find a suitable way and solution of mediating architecture and its broad themes into the lives of the public. To design an ideal space and suitable conditions for the popularization not only of architecture, but also of related fields such as art, landscape architecture and construction, where all these disciplines will be connected. The main part of the design is to find a suitable way to "transfer" architecture from large cities and those in which it is taught to regional cities or villages. This way of presentation and sharing would be carried out by mobile pavilions, which would create mobile studios. The entire system will be coordinated and managed by the building, where these mobile pavilions will be merged and modularized. The building will create a "center of architecture", where all functions will be combined. This centre serves as a complementary function to the schools of architecture, civil engineering, fine arts and landscape architecture. Thus, there will be cooperation between students across all disciplines with a place for presentation and exhibition to the public.
Brno waterfront - rehabilitation of rivers and their surrounding areas
Vrána, Adam ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the assignment was to rehabilitate the area of the Brno embankment of the river Svitava and the nearby surroundings of the river. This is the modification of the river's seashore, the modification of public spaces and the completion of individual objects. The solved territory is defined in the east and north of Cejl streets, on the east of the Svitava river and on the south by Tkalcovska street. The principles of the proposal are based on the necessary changes to the territory. The biggest problem of the area is the area backups for the hypermarket parking lot and the urbanistically incoherent structure of the courtyards and the poorly functioning waterfront. The proposal focuses on making the river accessible and bringing water closer to people. On the waterfront the bicycle path is used not only by cyclists. The former hypermarket is converted into a shopping mall and the ground floor of the seafront is made up of shops, services, cafes and restaurants. For humans, a river was available that could touch water. For relaxation and recreation, the terraces are provided. Better permeability also offers the river itself. By modifying the footbridge and delivering a new footbridge in the middle part, pedicists and cyclists can better cross the river. The park and the reclamation of planted trees have been modified. The Svitavy Drive in the section of the park was also accessible by foot. The siding was preserved to a certain extent in order to be able to prepare a wagon with a café or other possibilities of the Svitava festival under the steam. The construction of new houses increases the attractiveness of the area itself and offers both flats overlooking the river with the dominant of the church as well as services in the workshops of the individual houses. Cejl street has a green and a plumbing and a missing pit. Transparency for people is from the weft loom on the waterfront through the park, business or residential street.Residential homes have ma

Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Tallmayer, Dominik ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
This paper aims to elaborate an urbanistic study focused on the establishment of a multifunction athletic and recreational area located in Vsetín-Ohrada, carrying the name of the location, Ohrada. The reason to elaborate on this project is the current desolate state of the area, which already does not fulfil its purpose and serves only as lodgings and as a facility for the tennis club. My approach for this project implies identified accidence of buildings with an emphasis on maximal use of daylight, open spaces, green areas, and social interactions. All of these parts connect ideas and needs of future generations and deliver into the area new Genio Loci. For me, the biggest challenge in this complex area is finding the answer to meaningful use of the big amount of soil that is part of the canker tribune. The solution for this challenge might be in the creation of new access paths and footbridge to the buildings which provide several parts of space with different atmosphere and purpose. The main idea was the creation of a leisure public space with an emphasis on the variability of used areas that serve people from all age groups. It creates several main areas that divide the location and deliver various atmospheres for each generation. Additionally, the area as a whole is open and accessible to the public. A sign of long-term functional society is the ability of considerable behaviour toward public areas. Space in front of and between buildings happened to be more important than the building itself. In this case, we can talk about public life that is sustainable in time.
The architectural study of the church for the estate Lisen-Vinohrady, Brno
Havlík, Jiří ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sacral space of Brno-Líšeň, where there is a request to build a church as a part the Salesian Center. Part of the problematics was the construction of the Parish house and the Community house as a part of the church mentioned above. The plot is situated at the site of the southern slope between Horáková and Molákova Street and in close proximity of the Salesi center. The project is conceived as a progressively graduating spiral rising from the mass of the community house to the sculpture of the cross at the tower of the church. Visually both building are separated from the north side but are partially connected thanks to the underground floor from the south side. The building of the community center shall be a three-story building. The design of the church itself is based on the centralization of space and due to progressive gradation to the center of the building, where all the events associated with the Christian year take place. The complex serves both as a place where the widespread society can fulfill their spiritual needs as well as a sanctuary of the Salesian community, where they can fulfill their mission.
