Prevention of hazards leading to work injuries on constructions

The aim of this thesis is to prepare a basic overview of the issue of prevention risks of occupational accidents at construction sites. Prevention is the only effective tool to prevent risks of occupational accidents and occupational diseases (health hazards). The thesis describes the procedures and methods to search, evaluation and risk prevention in the workplace and basic description of the standard ČSN OHSAS 18001. At the same time, there are also compared the results of statistical analysis of occupational accidents for the years 2006 to 2010 in the Czech Republic and selected construction company.
Risk prevention of the construction of public telecommunication network base stations

This master thesis consist of two parts, theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the general description of the base stations of mobile public telecommunication networks, their structure, maintenance, construction and staff requirements. The practical part consists of performing an audit of the company in terms of risk prevention at base stations, audit evaluation and recommendation for improvement.
Risk management - occupational safety and health protection in the selected organization

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse how the selected organization ensures risk management OSH, including the analysis of the fulfilment of basic requirements to ensure safe work and risk prevention. The analysis also includes an analysis of occupational accidents and an analysis of costs associated with accidents at work in the company. The output of this work is a document which creation is based on comparison and assessment of results from analyses with theoretical knowledge, proposing appropriate recommendations on how the organization could use new methods or procedures to improve its current activities and thus contribute the organization to improve the management of this area and to increase the level of OSH. The methodology, which leads to the achievement of the set goal, is based on elaboration and evaluation of primary and secondary data, internal materials provided by the selected organization, materials from a professionally qualified person in risk prevention, observations of individual workplaces and semi-structured interviews with employees who deal with the issue.

Qualified persons in the field of occupational risks Abstract Qualified persons in the field of occupational risks are persons dealing with different levels of risk, different extent and type of risks. In this set is not only the person for health and safety, but there are other qualified persons as well. For example, a qualified person who provides and performs the ccupational health services, a qualified person for fire protection, a construction safety coordinator, as well as an inspection technician of dedicated technical equipment, etc. A key qualified person in occupational risk and health and safety prevention is a person who assist employers in occupational risk prevention by managing risk identification, providing risk assesments, identification of source and risks causes and incidents. This person takes care about risk factors on worplaces such as microclima, chemical and biological hazards, noise, ergonomy and many others risks and continuosly advises employers of identificated risk on workplaces. Occupational Health and Safety

The thesis deals with the Occupational Health and Safety. The OHS can be described as a set of reciprocal rights and obligations of participants of the labour- law relations which in order to ptotect life and health, are aimed to ensure safe and healthy work, as well as rights and obligations between trade union and representatives in the field of the OHS and employers at solving problems of the OHS, and finally rights and obligations between authorities of state trade union control on one side and employers or employees on the other side while performing the control of the OHS. At the beginning of my thesis I deal with the OHS in general, I also pay attention to the legal concept of the OHS and to its historical development. Other chapters of this thesis deal with the specific issues as particular power of the chosen authorities of civil service in the field of the OHS and as well as the mere identification of danger and assessment of risks specialized in certain methods.. Specifically there are being solved the obligations of employers, rights and obligations of employees and their representatives. At the end of the thesis I introduce a particular arrangement of the OHS of one prosperous business company which produces and sells its own products. The last part of the selected risk prevention measures includes the safety of employees' work in schools and school facilities. This topic is the last of those dealing with the safety and health protection of employees in the labor law relationship, which are contained in the previous three works. A special group in this section consists of guides to good practice (good behavior and good working practices) for the prevention of injuries that do not occur in connection with work carried out in an employment relationship but relate to work activities carried out within the private business activities of citizens; in leisure activities. Measures to reduce injuries in these activities include the principles and rules of safe work in the workshop, in the garden and in the orchard, in self-building works, in maintenance work and on work on electrical and gas equipment. The publication adds an overview of health and safety abbreviations and related areas and a selection of the most commonly used abbreviations.

The third part of the publication "Selected Risk Prevention Measures" is devoted to the health and safety of employees in agriculture, forestry, textile, commerce and catering, accommodation and catering services, social services provided as residential services, health care and administration . Other themes are the safety of work with portable chainsaws and brushcutters and the safety of plastic molding. The publication is primarily a tool for employers and professionals who are skilled in risk prevention, as well as other people involved in job search, monitoring of factors affecting work safety and protecting the health of employees from their work. The guides presented are the so-called good practice that, in particular, provides SMEs with effective tools to prevent risks arising in work systems and increases the awareness of the importance of safe working conditions and procedures for maintaining employees' work capacity and improving their quality of work and job satisfaction. Part of the publication is an overview of ABB abbreviations and related areas and a selection of the most commonly used abbreviations.
