Economic evaluation of wood buildings

The aim of the bachelor thesis is comparing timber frame construction and masonry building in the first and second part of building life cycle. The selected factors of these parts are costs and time-consuming of structure, comparing the masses of structures, their thermal insulation properties and their fire resistance. In the end, there is a comparison of costs of construction and construction lead-time for timber structure and masonry building.
University dormitory

The new building of a university dormitory with workshops is the content of the presented thesis. The building consists of fifty-two beds for students’ accommodation with complete equipment in eight cells, three workshops and a technical support. This is a combination of reinforced concrete prefabricated skeleton and classical masonry building construction with insulation. The building has four floors. It is designed as seven towers with flat roofs, which protrude from a ground floor with a vegetative roof. Paved and parking areas are adjacent to the building. The project is designed into an urban area of Nový Jičín. Glass atrium and overall shape solution are the distinctive features of the proposal.

The bachelor thesis deals with comparison of a timber frame construction and a masonry building in the third and fourth part of building life cycle. Constructions are compared in thermal properties, acoustic properties, fire resistence, lifetime and it’s effect on the environment. Also, the thesis deals with demands on new constructions and it’s demolition involving it’s costs, time demands and it’s masses.
Apartment house Židlochovice

The aim of the bachelor thesis is the processing of project documentation for the construction of an apartment building. Building is situated in the city of Židlochovice, street Nádražní on building plots 548/8 and 548/11. The apartment building have three above-ground floors and one basement. In the basement are situated cellars, bicycle and pram room, common room, workshop and technical room. In the ground floor is situated four dwelling units of size 1+kk. In the second floor is situated two dwelling units of size 3+kk and 4+kk. In the top floor is situated two dwelling units of size 3+kk. External walls of the basement are from permanent formwork, the rest of the external walls are made of cut brick blocks. The building is insulated with ETICS contact thermal insulation system. Ceiling of the basement is two way cast-in-place reinforced slab. The ceilings of the other floors are semi-mounted ceilings consisting of brick inserts and ceiling beams. There is a elevator in the apartment house. The roof of the building is a warm flat roof with continuous waterproofing layer of asphalt sheet. The staircase is a monolithic reinforced concrete slab. There is wall structural system.
Survey and Assessment of Masonry Buildings before Modernization

This thesis deals with the exploration and evaluation of historic masonry building. The researched building was built in the 20th 20th century. Is located in the premises of the Philosophical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno. During preparation for the planned modernization of the survey was conducted several objects of the university complex. In this work, however, we consider only the building named "C". It will be processed by selected diagnostic method. The findings will then serve as a basis for static analysis and follow-up activities associated with modernization.

Concretely assessment of resistance joist's floors, design alternative's strengthening and impact of surcharge on pronounces constructions. multifunctional building

The subject of this diploma thesis is structural and constructional design of a new multifunctional building in Spišská Belá. It is a new detached building structure with one basement floor and three above-ground floors, designed on a plot number 1859 in cadastre unit Spišská Belá. The designed building is constructed of clay masonry system with contact thermal insulation and supported by strip foundations. Ceiling constructions of above-ground floors are made of prefabricated components. The basement ceiling is made of reinforced concrete. Object is roofed by saddle roof set on wooden roof truss. There are four three room flats, one accessible flat, bicycle shop and flats facilities, situated in the building. The focus during development was on wheelchair access.
Detached house with photographic studio

The subject of this bachelor thesis is a non-detached new building of a family house with a residential attic in the village Bošovice, cadastral area Bošovice. The construction is largely designed as a timber, with a brick garage for two vehicles. The building is divided into a housing section, photo studio and a garage.The wooden structure consists of walls made of wooden frame, filled with thermal insulation and covered with gypsum fiber and cement-fiber boards, the ceilings are made of Posi-Joist beams with blow-in insulation. The wooden structure is built above the crawlspace. The residential part with the photo studio is covered with a gabled roof, the garage is covered with a flat roof. AutoCAD software was used to draw the drawing documentation.
Small block of flats with a workshop

The new building of a small block of flats which is primarily designed for seniors is the content of the presented work. The building consists of four flats, including one barrier-free, there is also a technical support and manicure and pedicure, too. This is a classic masonry building with no insulation. The building has three floors and a flat roof . Paved and parking areas are adjacent to the building. The project is designed to rural development in Bernartice nad Odrou. Glued laminated beams which form the roof structure are the specialty of the proposal.
Reconstruction

Bachelor thesis delas with documentation for execution of the rekonstruction of current building of former tavern in the village Dobročkovice and its adjustment to Municipal house. The building has one above-floor and partial basement. In the Municipal house is area for Municipal office of village Dobročkovice and two flats. To the Municipal house belongs also a new building for technical services of village Dobročkovice The current loadbearing masonry is from clay bricks and is added with contact thermal insulation system. Building for technical services has loadbearing masonry from aerated concrete blocks YTONG. In the building of Municipal house is current joist floor, added with mineral wool insulation and plasterboard suspended ceiling. Both buildings are roofed with clay tile roofing. Above the Municipal house is designed new tradicional timber roof truss and above building fot technical services is timber truss girder roof.
