Title: Historical development of sports classes at elementary school Jilemnice Objectives: The aim of work is to recall the successful history of sports classes at the primary school in Jilemnice and to describe their gradual development, from its foundation to the present. Methods: We used the method of analysis documents. The source for the search were documents dealing with the topic. Results: We found that the traditional concept of sports classes at the elementary school in Jilemnice was able to edutace a number of successful athletes at the national and international levels. Analysis of the diet habits of an endurance athletes in the youth and junior categories

Title: Analysis of dietary habits of cross-country skiers and biathletes in youth and junior categories Aims: The theoretical part of this diploma thesis summarises information on the nutrition of endurance athletes. The practical part analyses and evaluates the dietary habits of Czech cross- country skiers and biathletes of youth and junior categories during the preparatory phase, focusing on food composition, the ratio of individual nutrients, use of nutritional supplements and fluid intake. Methods: Eighteen men and thirteen women participated in the study. It was conducted via a questionnaire based on open-ended questions. The questionnaire focused on information about the male and female respondents necessary to conduct the research, their dietary intake, including fluids, nutritional supplements, and physical activity over a two-week period. Results: Most athletes, especially women, ingest insufficient dietary energy compared to their estimated energy expenditure. They consume most of their calories in the latter part of the day, most at dinner. Of the macronutrients ingested, only the amount of carbohydrate is insufficient. Title: Sport event management: Jizerská 50 Goal: The aim of the master thesis is to create proposal and suggestions for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Methods: In this thesis was used the qualitative analysis of Jizerska 50 - form of case study, participant observation, semi-structured interview and complemented by the SWOT analysis. Results: The result of master thesis is the set of proposals, which are based on the knowledge and results of Jizerska 50 in previous years and its SWOT analysis. Analysis revealed the possibility of applying new variations for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Also suggestions for project management effectiveness, sponsorship and event program. Title: Characteristics and description of cross-country skiing resorts in the Czech Republic Aim: The aim of this work is to look for cross-country ski resorts in the Czech republic which are suitable for cross-country trainings and competitions of various categories. The extension of this work is the creation of a written and electronic list featuring these areas and including a brief description of their background. The electronic version of the overview of the cross-country resorts, mentioned in this work would be/will be/is posted on the internet for the needs of the ski clubs and cross-country skiing lovers. Methods: The basis of this work is data collection performed by analysis of documents referred to in the literature and on websites. A large amount of the information was provided by the skiers, administrators of sites and their operators. Another method used in this work to determine the actual technical details, especially concerning the individual ski resorts and cross-country skiing routes, was the survey. Given the low responding rate, and because of a very narrow range of questions asked, it was not appropriate to use a method of data collection by questionnaire. Occurrence and Prevention of Asthma in Youth Division Cross-country Skiers

Title: Occurrence and Prevention of Asthma in Youth Division Cross-country Skiers Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine the incidence of asthma in youth division cross-country skiers and its prevention. Methods: This thesis will comprise the method of survey and content analysis of documents. Hypotheses: No.1 Assume that asthma will have lower prevalence in youth division cross- country skiers than in adult cross-country skiers. No.2 Assume that the majority of the surveyed cross-country skiing coaches met with asthmatic symptoms in their athletes. Results: We found that 12% of youth division athletes suffer from asthma and 24% from allergies. Title: Injury rate in the ski resorts in the Czech Republic Objectives: Objective of thesis is to obtain knowledges about injury rate in the ski resorts in the Czech republic Methods: I determined and processed information regarding all data about injury rate during winter seasons from 2003/2004 to 2012/2013 in the Czech Republic. Main source of all data was the database of Mountain Rescue Service in the Czech republic. Results: My results show summary of the total number of accidents in each winter seasons. Percentage of injury in alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing of all injuries. The most common types of injuries and injury localization in the ski resorts in the Czech Republic for the season 2003/2004 - 2012/2013. Problems of organizing a public marathon cross-country skiing

Topic: Organizational issues of a public mass marathon in cross-country skiing Goals of thesis: The aim of this thesis is to identify all the difficulties with planning, implementation and evaluation of public mass marathon in cross-country skiing. Further this work should give a example and methodological manual for organization of public mass marathon. This thesis is valid for Czech Republic. Method: The solution results from analysis of documents dealing with the issue. Another source of information is based on long term organizational experience of LK Slovan Karlovy Vary with organizing public mass marathon. Results: The main goal was achieved by creating detailed instructions for organization of mass race. The main contribution of this thesis is to provide the guidelines for organizers beginners of public mass marathon. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describe history of mass-races in cross country skiing at home and abroad. There is also set of rules for mass races and theoretically described process of organizing sport's events in terms of economics, marketing and management. Heading: Injuries during doing winter sports on the ski slopes in the Czech Republic Objectives: The main objective of the diploma theses was to determine the incidence of accidents in the Czech mountains during the winter seasons from 2000 - 2001 to 2009 - 2010. Methods: We focused on gathering data and information regarding the number of injuries on the ski slopes. The main source of information was the database of Mountain Rescue Service of the Czech Republic that provided us with sets of injuries that happened during skiing and snowboarding within the winter seasons 2000 - 2010. Results: The results of this diploma thesis were statistics of injuries that happened during doing the winter sports for the years 2000 - 2010 and their processing. Title: Comparison of Cross-Country Skiing Training in the Czech Republic and in Norway Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was to gain information about Norwegian nordic skiers' training and to compare it with the preparation of nordic skiers in the Czech Republic. The possibility of applying Norwegian training methods to the Czech Republic was considered with relation to local conditions. Methods: The methods of questionnaire, observation and content analysis were used in the diploma thesis. Results: The evaluation and comparison of the questionnaire data were illustrated in tables and charts. The evaluation of observations and training documentation in the Czech team Olfin Car - Vella Trutnov and the Norwegian team Holmen IF Langrenn.
