I suggest two buildings, gallery and multifunctional building. For my design solutions was crucial that we find ourselves in a place with very strong traffic and small place. I design primarily the gallery, so I decided to open the block and relieve the gallery building. With the same intention i taper the wall of the main facade to the street fluctuate, thus creating a freer parter. Gallery becomes detached building and operating space around freely. I wanted to reach such an impression that it was a stone house, something quality and stable, so I chose the concrete substructure as well as the exposed material. The construction is monolithic reinforced concrete. The second house is a multifunctional building directly adjacent to the Commercial Bank

Between an art and a spectator. Exposition. Projection. Inter-action.

The thesis deals with the conceptual design of a space for the Liberal Arts Society in Brno in relation to the institution of the Brno House of Arts. The overarching motif of the Liberal Arts Society is the Liberal Arts Society Festival (LASF). The proposal builds on the research and theoretical part, exploring the relationship between contemporary art and the canon, the issue of exhibition spaces and institutions engaged in the exhibition and presentation of visual art, the role of the spectacle within these institutions and the role of visual art in society. It also builds on research stemming from philosopher Gilles Deleuze's book What is Philosophy?, whose reflections it further develops to explore the relationship between philosophy, art and science, with creation as their central motif, their interrelationships and how they influence, overlap and complement each other. The whole work is conceived as a utopian proposal for a new typology of architecture and the relationships, between the various scientific, artistic and philosophical disciplines. One of the key motifs of the work is also an attempt to map the process of how the design itself was created and shaped.

HYBRID-IN
Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě
Mezinárodní výstavní projekt HYBRID-IN představuje umění z České republiky, Polska a Slovenska. Vernisáž se za účasti kurátorů i veřejnosti uskuteční 22. června v 17 hodin. Zároveň bude živě přenášena i na Facebooku GVUO. V ostravském Domě umění bude výstava k vidění až do 29. srpna 2021.

Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě
Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě (GVUO) připravila výstavu Václava Rodka v kurátorském podání Jaroslava Michny. Jedná se o první projekt nového cyklu výstav, který v rámci výročí 95 let Domu umění, GVUO představuje tvorbu ostravských umělců. Expozice bude zahájena on-line vernisáží v úterý 9. března a potrvá minimálně do 18. dubna. Výstava byla prodloužena do 6. 6. 2021.
