This bachelor thesis deals with steampunk a new style of design. The thesis describes the formation a new style and its characteristics. It´s analyses individual furniture, describes the basic types of materials and decorations. The part of the thesis includes the exhibition of selected furniture which is coming from various artists around the world, their typical features and the materials, including the photographs of the furniture.

It concisely describes the situation in furniture design before Word War II abroad and in Czechoslovakia and furniture design 50s and 60s abroad to give to reader a broader context that affected the period 50s and 60s in Czechoslovakia.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design piece of furniture into attic space of a family house. In the introduction, thesis deals with description of attic apartments, its advantages and disadvantages. This part is also focused on development of wardrobes through history, mainly its ergonomics and safety. Second part of thesis describes current state of the attic room and final visual design, presented using visualizations and technical drawings.

The bachelor thesis deals briefly with the history and current situation of the trade with furniture. I focus on the categorization of shops in the Czech Republic and on the difference between brick-and- mortar shops and internet shops with furniture. The work deals with the demands on furniture exhibition area. Market survey and personal ground plan of the shop is the indispensable part of this work. The chosen solution is depicted with a visualization. The proposal of the solved displayed component is set inclusive of price calculation, drawing documentation and visualization.

The aim of this thesis was to find suitable candidates for whom a project of an interior kitchen and interior formation was designed. The contribution of this thesis is the connection of disabled persons in a wheelchair and seniors mobile and walking on crutches. The thesis includes typological kind of furniture, suitable framework, design, literature research, discussion of the issue, visualization, scale model, drawings and price calculation. The result is design of a kitchen that meets the requirements of selected candidates, offers individual adjustements, and is affordable.

The flows and major manufacturers belonging to Czechoslovakia 1918-1939 are compiled by literally research form. From the pictorial documentation is possible to make an idea how the interiors and the equipment of apartements could look like almost one hundred years ago. In the last part of the thesis there are described the most distinctive current companies in Czech republic which are focused on furniture from the fisrt republic of Czechoslovakia. These companies make copies, restore or continue in the tradition of production.

Master's thesis deals with furniture for the elderly. The goal is analysis of elderly furniture. The begining of the thesis is about demography and about important information regarding elderly, their habitation, psychology, health and furniture features. Next, the thesis deals with market research. Survey in retirement homes has the goal find out features about furniture in retirement homes and find out information from clients and nursing personnel about satisfaction with furniture and requirements for furniture. In the end of thesis the informations are completely evaluate and used for create missing furniture element and create informative handout.

The content of this work is interior design of particular sport center. The teoretical part deals with the historical context, the specifics of the area, the condition of current competitive spaces in Czech Republic and their problems. Small portion of the work is also dedicated to inspirational centers abroad. It further discusses materials, interior design standards and furniture standards. The practical part presents the design solution of the social and the sport section and sanitary facilities. It includes a ground plan, a drawing of electrical wiring, an item plan and drawings of atypical objects.

The task of the thesis is to design a new chair design with respect to current requirements for this type of furniture. The work is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical part is at the beginning analyzed the history of design. The following chapters are focused on the theme of sitting, its negative consequences, alternative solutions and basic types of sitting positions, an overview of main dimensions, standards and materials that were used for the design. The second, practical part deals with the design process. At the start is compiled research focused mainly on the actual situation on the market and innovative design concepts of a chair. Work continues with finding own concept by sketches and 3D visualizations. The final phase is deticated to work on the selected concept, where are specified all details of the project from the dimensions and shape to manufacturing process and versions, including a fabrication of a model in 1: 4.

The goal of this thesis is design od seating element. To reach this goal is necessary to have knowledge but also creativity. The teoretical part analyze theory of sitting, ergonomics, anthropometry, materials and technology, design icons and current situation on the Czech market. Second part of thesis is dedicated to the process of creating new design from research stage to model 1:1.
