Development of application for simulation of physicals effects for the area of mechanics
Libiš, Zdeněk ; Káňa, Ladislav (referee) ; Holcman, Vladimír (advisor)
The object of this project is to create complex educational software for studying computer practise in physics at FEEC VUT in Brno. This thesis deals with creating of simulative applications for five phenomenons: free fall, vertical throw upwards, horizontal throw, oblique throw, harmonic motion. These simulations were created in the program called Builder 6, in the language C++. Graphic format of the programs is similar. In the simulations is possible to insert basic input quantities for every phenomenon, for which is pictured the chart, which characterizes the phenomenon. In the thesis are described input quantities for every simulation and pictured charts. For this phenomenon are described physics theories as well. In the next step was created interface for the choice of a phenomenon and for starting relevant programs. It is possible to fill next phenomenon in this interface thanks to the editable file. In the thesis is described the purport of physics in the contemporary World as well as the meaning of the modelling of physical phenomenon.
Derivative in apllied problems - a digest of solved examples.
SEKAL, Tomáš
The theme of this diploma thesis is to create a collection of exercises on the differentiation in application tasks. It focuses primarily on tasks of everyday situations, physical problems and problems from technical disciplines. Exercises are sorted from easy to advanced ones. For each example there is a solution procedure provided and illustrated with sketches of given situations created in majority with Google SketchUp, graphs of functions created in GeoGebra, eventually 3D graphs of each function created using mathematical program Maple. In the very introduction of this theses there is theoretical base and "first aid" provided in the form of instructions on solving this kind of exercises.
Use of Video in Physics Education
MASOPUST, Jiří
This thesis deals with the use of the video as a didactic tool in the education of the physics. Introductory part is theoretic and focuses on classification of didactic tools which can be used for physics teaching. Second part analyses the possibility of capturing physical effects, especially effects with very long or very short duration which cannot be captured by conventional devices. This part is focused on the right selection of physical effects, selecting and setting of suitable devices for capturing and further processing of the recorded video. The next section is based on the previous analysis of physical effects, which are recorded and processed into the form of educational movie. The main result of this thesis is the collection of educational movies of fast and very slow physical effects useful as the didactic tool for the teaching of physics.
The comparison of physics textbooks for basic schools
BUMBA, Tomáš
The goal of the theses is to determine, which physics textbooks are being used at primary schools, compare these textbooks and analyse the conception and the way various topics are elaborated. Another purpose of the theses is to didactically analyse the theme unit Force in textbooks from various authors and to create a new textbook based on the results and knowledge gained during the comparison. The effectiveness of the elaborated textbook was tested in practice. The textbook is designed as a new, practical conception for the tuition of the theme unit Force and should serve as a practical tool, which is even meant to be used for some of the experiments. It is focused on the most realistic aspect of the topic and works with the pupil´s desire to discover and learn new things. The effectiveness was tested didactically in a primary school class and compared with the results of another class, which used usual textbooks and was taught with usual teaching methods. The response of the pupils on the various methods was also of high importance. The results of the testing can be found at the end of the work.
Contactless control of interactive training applications using Leap Motion technology
SVATEK, Tomáš
In its theoretical part, this thesis treats possibilities of using no-touch technology Leap Motion in elementary school lessons for operating interactive applications focused on physics education. The thesis investigates the ways in which it is possible to operate already published applications which are not programmed specifically for a no-touch technology and which are, however, intended for work with an interactive whiteboard or for a standard computer work. Their advantages and disadvantages are discussed as well. The thesis deals, among other things, with the availability of relevant applications and offers a summary of information about Leap Motion technology and of opportunities for replacing interactive whiteboards. The thesis also includes a description of the technology and of the potential for developing your own applications. The aim of the practical part is to create a new didactic application which will be tested in lessons. This part also includes a poll which will find out what is the interest in Leap Motion technology among teachers.
Application of Geomagnetic Data and Solar Physics for Education of Sciences in Secondary School
BAYER, Tomáš
This docement summarizes current geophysiscs and solar physics knowledge collection and applies it in grammar school education. Document explains significance of Earth geomagnetic field for whole biota and their evolution and includes current knowledge of geophysics and solar physics to the Programme for Secondary General Education (Grammar Schools). The document introduces actual findings of solar physics and geophysics (especially geomagnetism) to the educational area Man and Nature containing synthetic education of biology and geosciences. The main method of this document is comparison and explanation of solar physics satellite data, explanation of solar disc records and solar wind time series. This data have been compared by Czech national Geomagnetic observatory (IAGA code BDV) variograms and enables pupils to process satellite and observatory real-time data.
"Pat a Mat" by physics education at basic schools
MADĚRA, Martin
This diploma thesis deals with the processing of selected parts of the series "A je to" within the framework of an interactive teaching physics in elementary school. Thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical, describing motivation and interactive teaching and part practical, in which they are processed, video materials and their theoretical analysis.
Didactic games and their inclusion to physics teaching at basic school
NOVÁKOVÁ, Alena
This thesis is focused on the inclusion of educational games in teaching physics at the elementary schools. The work aims to create a set of educational games for teaching physics at the elementary school. The theoretical part analyzes the theory of didactic games and use of games in education, increasing motivation among pupils. Further the theoretical part consists of an analysis of the selected thematic unit "substances and bodies". The practical part consists of a set of my own didactic games. Created didactic games can serve mainly for practicing, repetition and consolidation of curriculum and are designed to develop the selected key competencies to stimulate the innate playfulness and creativity of students. They also provide feedback on students' knowledge. It is possible to include games into the teaching in the form of competitions of individuals, couples or groups of pupils. Didactic games' benefits were verified in tests. Evaluation and results of these tests are elaborated at the end of this work.
