Domestic violence and primary care. Domestic violent is the most frequent form of violence. But it is also the least observed and the most underestimated form of domestic abuse. It often refers to physical violence, sexual and emotional abuse between spouses that occurs hidden away and does not draw attention of others despite the intesifying abusive behaviour of a family member. The victim feels humiliated and distressed and suffers from a high level of fear. The theoretical part of my thesis gives the definition of domestic violence, its forms and causes. Other issues within the context of domestic violence are also addressed: characteristics of persons commiting domestic violence, medical care and assistance rendered to victims of domestic violence, primary care, the role of a nurse in identification of domestic violence, administrative measures relevant to domestic violence. The practical part of my thesis examines the role of a nurse in treatment of a victim of domestic violence. The aim of the research was to learn if nurses often come into contact with such patients and have enough information on the issue. I suggested 3 hypotheses to be confirmed or rejected. The information was obtained by a quantitative research in the form of questionnaires handed out to nurses working at general practitioners´, pediatricians´ and gynaecologists´ offices. The hypothesis I was rejected, hypotheses II and III were confirmed. The conclusions of the research show that nurses get into contact with the victims of domestic violence but do not have access to enough information on the issue to be able to treat them properly.

Therapeutic communication in nursing process

Because of this fact is unambigously needed to pay more attention particularly at quality nurse education how to communicate therapeuticly with a patient. My bachelor work is focused on the youth criminality problems from the point of view of the adolescence period. It analyses the possible causes of the unlawful actions, evaluates the youth criminality development, taking account at different criminogen faktors. At the same time it evaluates the principles of the preventive politics in our republic, focusing on specifikations of this group of inhabitants.

The Impacts of the Syndrom CAN on a Man in Childhood and Adulthood

The thesis deals with the impacts of the syndrom CAN on a man in childhood and adulthood. The first part concentrates on accommodation of needs of healthy development of child. The next text is dedicated to problems of the syndrom CAN. It characterizes concrete forms and features of the syndrom CAN and informs of abuse, sexual abuse and neglect child in detail. Then it shows the impacts of the syndrom CAN on a man in childhood and adulthood. There are some cases of dangerous behavior of children and parents in this part as well. It focuses mainly on psychical deprivation. The last part of the thesis describes subsequent care for abused, maltreated and neglected children. It informs about cooperating organizations working with children suffering from the syndrom CAN too. Enclosed casuistries explain all the problems.

CRISIS INTERVENTION AS ONE OF THE POSIBILITIES OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL HELP FOR PEOPLE IN NEED

Nowadays crisis has been an everyday occurrence in our world. It´s mostly caused by the loss of a very close person, loss of a job or by social status decline, health problems, etc. Nobody (not even a specialist) can tell anyone when to get into crisis and when not. Crisis represents an enormous psychical and often physical strain. One of the possibilities to help people in crisis is the crisis intervention. Crisis intervention is a procedure suitable for people who for the first time face a hard situation. Desired effect of crisis intervention is the strenghtening of client´s ability to deal with difficult problem either on the basis of strategies proved before or on the basis of newly created procedures. Together with that client´s selfevaluation should improve and unpleasant emotional attendance of the crisis should be reduced. Un this work was to learn the knowledgeability about the possibilities of using crisis intervention services among southbohemian district citizens. My bachelor thesis can be used for making the population acquainted with types of crisis intervention and with possibilities of their usage.

The main part of the study is involved a acquaintance with basic terminology that is involved a senior time of life. The study is also conserned to subject of crisis, crisis intervention and finally described phenomenon of help lines. The practical part contains statistic data and commentaries on social nonstop helpline named Senior telephone Life 90, case of reports of user this help line and three obligatory themes that are occuring on this help line.

The theme of the Bachelor Thesis are problems of the care of spiritual needs of clients in the frame of granted crisis intervention. It informs the reader of the problems of a crisis, crisis intervention, pastoral care and spiritual needs the clients. The object of the work was to find out whether the workers granting the crisis intervention attribute any importance to the spiritual needs of their clients,whether they feel necessity to be engaged in these problems and in satisfying the spiritual needs of their clients in more details, and occasionally if they are interested in extending their qualifications in the field of cere of the spiritual needs of the klient.

The role of a social worker in humanitarian organizations

Social work encourages social change, solving problems in human relations, strengthens and liberates people, in order to fulfill their personal welfare. Its goal is to let all people to fully develop their abilities and prevent failure. The point of social work in humanitarian aid area is removal of significant negative factors, which could negatively influent already difficult social situation of individual or whole society. The goal of providing humanitarian aid to suffering is alleviation of consequences of their social situation and providing self-sufficiency for individual and whole society. There have been radical changes in social area since 1990. Various social problems are growing and so is growing the need for solution. Social worker skill requirements are increasing. Social working education had to be re-gained to university level as a professional activity. Minimum social working education standards emerge, universities got accreditations for additional areas of social work. Newly emerged humanitarian work field prepares student for quality work in humanitarian and developing help. New ways of competence for social work are sought. The theoretical part of thesis informs about traditions, goal of humanitarian and developing aid, current education possibilities, describes method, theory and ethics of social work. It also focuses on effect of traumatizing events on individual and society. The research part of thesis uses experience, views and opinions of social workers on problematics of social workers role in humanitarian and developing aid, opinions of social working students about education in humanitarian and developing aid. Motivation for the thesis was also own interest in social working domain, the need to inform social workers about specificity of work in humanitarian and developing organizations and current options for education of social workers. The thesis can also be useful source of information for wide public and social working or humanitarian aid applicants.
