Methods and possibilities of operation analysis use in logistics

Main purpose of this thesis is finding the possibilities of operation analysis methods{\crq} use in logistics, proposition of specific situation{\crq}s optimal solution in specific company, confrontation of the above with reality and proposition of possible improvements. The use of scientific methods during decision making should have been the reason of this thesis. The theoretical knowledge that has been gained from literature research has been verified in factual conditions at company CSAD JIHOTRANS, Inc. To gain the knowledge of the environment I used the consultations with company management, system studying based on provided data and collective service{\crq}s trading conditions. ABC analysis and MODI and VAM methods were used as a scientific approach. In the thesis I processed data given to me concerning shipments that had been registered in collection centers for each month of the year 2008. 6 possible alternatives evaluating the basic and also sub-optimal solutions came out from solved problems of methods VAM and MODI. Option I is the most suitable from the point of optimization standard {--} minimal value of special-purpose function. Option VI will be the most suitable if I proceed from the current system functioning. But option VI satisfies the optimization standard the least. Therefore I suggest shifting the original pick-ups S5 into the competence of S2 and then to place it in between the 8 regional centers that are connected by the central trucktransport.

The optimalization of the logistic system in the company ESAB Vamberk

The purpose of thesis was optimizing logistic system in the company ESAB Vamberk, s. r. o. This objective includes comparison of informational and material flows of chosen products. The weak part of the logistic system was delivering raw materials. My intention was to come up with optimal solution. The first option was sharing of production plan with suppliers of raw materials. The second option was outsourcing. In the present economic situation it is better to use outsourcing which decreases storing costs. Another weak part of the logistic system was the storing of the finished goods. The company ESAB Vamberk, s. r. o. divided its products into two groups A and C according to the turnover. The items with could be coded B are included in the group A. I have used the ABC method and I have divided all the items into three groups according mentioned turnover. I have also came up with changes in placing the products in the storage of finished goods because some products are placed on the atypical pallets. In the present time the company ESAB Vamberk, s. r. o. holds high safety stock for drawn wire which is in the group A. The safety stock keeps the financial resources, which could company use for decreasing impacts of economical recession. This is why I came up with suggestion to decrease the safety stock by 50 %. On the other hand the information flow was very good. Because of using the EDI system and follow-up programs the data flows through the company continuously. The material flow has got shortcomings, which were mentioned above.

The Analysis of Putting Logistics in to Practice in Magna Cartech in České Velenice

My bachelor work is focused on the firm Magna Cartech in České Velenice. Its activity consists mainly of the production of stampings for world car factories. Magna Cartech is a member of the supra-national Canadian concern called Magna International Inc., which is one of the world´s biggest purveyors of motor parts. Magna develops and produces components, systems and complete modules. Magna Cartech in České Velenice is included in the Cosma Division. Its production schedule is based on stamping and welding of metal parts for bodies and undercarriages. My work deals with both the slenderness of production and logistics in this firm, and especially one concrete product named TRAVERSE ARR PAVILLON ASS, which is produced for the French firm Peugeot. It deals with the material flow from the suplier to the dispatch to the customer. My bachelor work also notices the contemporary economic depression {--} especially Peugeot in the connection to Magna Cartech. The results of the research and potential suggestions for improving are always mentioned at the end of each chapter. The whole enumeration is summarized in the conclusion of the whole work.

Selection suppliers and operating resources in concern

This thesis focuses on two goals. One of them are business contacts with suppliers, the second is inventory management in the enterprise. Suppliers are very important for any business partner, without which it couldn`t produce, but its conditions differs in business and technical matter. It doesn{\crq}t have to be based only on the deppartment diferences or company size. Companies surveyed in this study were both productive and similary sized. What made the difference was, the used material and production complexity. The company Sapeli has possibility of higher standard offer and therefore even compoundable evaluation especially thanks to easier accessability . The most important for the company is quality, price, delivery terms and payment options. Both companies have in common the first place given to quality above all. It has increasing importance today as world markets are saturated with poor quality products and large companies can gain greater market share mainly due to the quality.

Analysis of the forwarding and courier services in Czech republic

The goal of this thesis is to analyze the forwarding and courier services at selected subjects. In this thesis I analyze and compare a total of eight transportation companies. These are: Czech Post, DHL Express s.r.o., PPL CZ s.r.o., TNT Express Worldwide, s.r.o., DPD CZ s.r.o., Czech Republic Dachser, a.s., ČSAD Jihotrans, a.s.., Spedica,s.r.o. Other goal of this thesis is to determine whether there are too many similar companies in the market, and whether there is still space for new forwarding company.

Analysis of application of logistics in the company HUPERZ, s.r.o.

This bachelor thesis discusses analysis of present condition of production and other processes connected to logistical activities in the selected company, which deal with processing of parts for automotive industry. The introduction provides a summary on the basic theoretical principles and terms related to the aforesaid area. The main part of this work is oriented on the analysis itself with the goal to identify the defects of the current situation. Based on the results and findings of of such analysis, alternatives for racionalisation and higher effectiveness of production management, material flow and information system are presented.

Implementation of logistic technology Just-in-Time and Just-in-Sequence in Robert Bosch Ltd.

This work is mostly oriented to define theory and application of principle Just in Time ( JIT ), Just in Sequence (JIS ) and related methods in Robert Bosch Ltd.Part goals are define theoretical basis of JIT and JIS from knowledge of Czech and foreign literature and detailed analysis of particular methods. Each method is well evaluated with all its pros and cons. Further observations engaged method of Kanban, Heijunka, MRPI, MRPII, which are close related to JIT and JIS. This work precisely describe application of JIS at project DNOX in Robert Bosch. System JIT is described through all its individual method (Kanban,Leveling,Supermarkets, which were gradually implemented in Robert Bosch.

Storing system analyse of chosen subject

The aim of this Bachelor{\crq}s thesis is to analyse store and storing system of company Transforwarding, a.s. As main subject for analysis I chose store České Budějovice, because it was the first store of this company. Next, I analysed store Praha-Horní Počernice, because it is new and the most modern store of whole net. I compared both stores with each other. There are discussed parameters of stores like location, function, construction, flow of goods and size. The communication in and out of company proceeds mostly in frame of EDI system, which makes work fast and easy. The advantage for customers is that they can watch their goods on web sides in on-line store and they can give commands, e.g. store out the goods command. In my thesis I mention also information about store{\crq}s staff, complaints and insurence and other services (completation of goods, transport of goods, colective service, INTRASTAT).

Logistics in the Internet shop

Subject of this thesis is analysis of logistic and distribution chain of Amway Corporation. Almost all around the world the company products are distributed through multilevel marketing, direct sales channel and e-shops. Detail analysis of production and product range is just highlighting exclusive position on the market. In addition different types and advantages of cooperation with Amway are analyzed in a detail, such as marketing plan, bonus calculation for distributors, etc. Competitiveness of products is underlined by price and product features comparative analysis. Main conclusions from practical part of thesis are for distributors is possibility to build up their own business and for advantages of using distributors.
