The thesis presents a grant application for a project dealing with research on disturbance frequency and influence on a structure and composition of tree vegetation in mixed oak forests in National park Seoraksan (South Korea). The aim is to verify and deepen current knowledge of disturbance and suggest adequate protection management based on the information obtained.
The beginning of the castle Český Krumlov - the castle as a symbol of power and aspect of cultural transfer

This work deals with beginning of the castle Český Krumlov. It takes South Bohemia area as the area of cultural influences, which overlaped itself (Bavaria, Bohemia, Austria) and simultaneously as a scene of colonizational proceses. They were discharged namely by Vítek's genus. In this place, we have to remember a network of Vítek's family bindings which had an influence to cultural transfer, which bounced at level of power means ? we can talk about constitution and presentation of Vítek's genus and his clannish background, it means a genesis of settlemental town and castle. The castle was taken as a symbol of power, but also as an intersection of potential interdisciplinary approach, which uses limited possibilities of historical and archeological research and simultaneously uses new interpretative and datative possibilities. The aim of this work is an attempt to classify the castle Český Krumlov to the absolute chronology and to bring a contribution to discussion about its ancient history.
Vegetation analysis and growth characteristics of \kur{Dryas octopetala} on transect in Arctic tundra of Svalbard

In this work I try to describe vegetation variability on altitudinal gradient in High Arctic tundra of Svalbard and dendrochronological characteristics of dwarf-shrub Dryas octopetala. Field experiments have been made near Petuniabukta (central part of Spitsbergen, Svalbard).
