Synchronized data transfer of signalling in IPTV
Figurny, Roman ; Karásek, Jan (referee) ; Müller, Jakub (advisor)
The task of Bachelor's thesis has been to develop synchronizing mechanism for signaling servers, called Feedback Targets, in hierarchical structure of the feedback tree. Then verify the function of this designed synchronizing mechanism in simulation developed in Java. Using this synchronizing mechanism to shorten the time needed to travel the signaling packets trough the feedback tree and using this to obtain better reaction to possible network junction or significant packet loss while distributing multimedia data while using IPTV. In theoretic part of the thesis there are described basic protocols like RTCP, RTP and TTP. Then are described methods for packet sending in network (multicast, unicast and broadcast). The basic piece of knowledge about IPTV, its distribution and differences between IPTV and classic internet media streaming are described. Also basic terms like Feedback Target, Feedback Target Manager and FTI, FTS and FTD packets are described as well.
Security of VoIP protocols
Novotný, František ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor dissertation deals with the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) safety. The most used transport and signal protocols employing this technology are presented first. Two extended protocols, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and IAX (Inter-Asterisk eXchange Protocol), as well as open source Asterisk, which is closely connected with these protocols, are shown in detail. After that, methods, attacks and threats able to assure secure transfer in the use of VoIP among users are described. Afterwards the practical part of this essay, divided into two parts, is presented. In the first part, a passive attack in the form of tapping is demonstrated, and in the second, active attacks are described which take the form of forced cancellations and forwarded calls between two communicating users. With both attacks, safety measures that could effectively prevent against their potential attacking are proposed. In the closing part, the VoIP safety is evaluated for securing a quality connection between users communicating through it.
Voting service for IPTV
Menclík, Tomáš ; Karásek, Jan (referee) ; Müller, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with a concept and implementation of voting service for IPTV. Implementation of this service is executed in programming language Java and uses programming structures, which were already done. These structures are intended for simulation of propertys of tree transmition protocol. Outside of the concept and implementation of voting service, there are presented protocols, which IPTV uses for communication. And also voting service, implemented in this thesis, uses their propertys. There are also mentioned dierences between outlined and implemented voting service as the implementation does not keep strictly the concept of the voting service.
SIP Client for Windows Mobile
Regueyra, Philip ; Müller, Jakub (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The main objective of this thesis is the design and implementation of client software, which will be able to conduct a phone connection through the packet network. Signalling protocol SIP together with RTP, the protocol for the transmission of multimedia, is used for this intention. Structure and functioning of the SIP protocol and RTP protocol is analyzed in this thesis. This is introducing with the issue, not a detailed study of these instruments. In addition, a brief overview of the Windows Mobile operating system for which the application is intended primarily is released. The characteristic of several libraries that have been considered for use in the application is briefly described in this thesis. Next the design of solution and the analysis of the program follow. In the last part the functioning of the program is described and its behavior is tested in various model situations.
SIP client in Java
Zukal, Martin ; Polívka, Michal (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a design of a client-based application with the utilization of the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). The first part describes SIP with an emphasis on basic concepts. Then a brief description of the Java programming language which will be used for the implementation follows. The most extensive part is devoted to the description of a design and implementation of the application. Some techniques used during the development of the applicaton are being discussed in this part. The thesis is finished up with test scenarios verifying functionality of the application.
Transmission of Audio Data Using RTP Protocol
Novotný, Roman ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Kouřil, Jiří (advisor)
This project is about technology of multimedia transmission in the real time. Introduction of this work narrate model TCP/IP. Next the bachelor´s thesis is principally aimed on theoretical design of application, which is minimally able to transfer audio data between two computers by the help of the protocol RTP. This part is included in protocols for transmission of data in the real time, especially protocol RTP and then freely accessible libraries, which are written in language C and C++, in which is RTP protocol just implemented. End of this work comes out from these knowledges, in which is realized theoretical design and it is in developmental environment of Borland Builder C++.
Technology for comprehensive support of multimedia services in heterogeneous networks
Dosoudil, Petr ; Krkoš, Radko (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The theses explains the Evolution Packet System (EPS) and subsystem IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). It also informs how these systems cooperate and through which interfaces the main data and signals between these two technologies are transfered. The thesis includes practical section, in which installation and configuration of sections of the IMS system including its "core", and application and medial server. For verification of the functionality of the system, two dissimilar clients are installed, and emulator WAN is applied for simulation of Internet. The product of the theses is the design of the laboratory exercise drafted in such a way that it can be solved by students less knowledgeable of the issues.
Location of VoIP caller in emergency
Mrník, Martin ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the problem of localization of the caller to the emergency line with focus on VoIP calls. It contains general description of the main active and passive geolocation methods, and explains their function. The paper analyzes market share of different VoIP clients and describes the program Skype. The focus of this work is to create an application for geolocation of the caller using analysis of VoIP transmission. The application gains IP address of the caller by capturing packets and displays his/her location on the map. The coordinates are obtained from the MaxMind GeoLite City database which been chosen by evaluating objective parameters as the most suitable for desired use.
Security of real time multimedia data transmission
Otoupalík, Petr ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with technology and security of real-time multimedia data transmission. The possibilities of the security of a multimedia data transfer and the mechanisms defined for the security of the signaling protocols SIP and H.323 are described with the view of security. The possible attacks on the real-time transfers are also mentioned. The basic requirements on the safe and reliable data transfer are specified. The main part of this thesis is focused on the security analysis of the data transmission of the selected communication clients, which use different security methods. The last part of the thesis deals with realization of simple attacks on multimedia data transmission and also on the SIP protocol.
SIP Protocol Implementation
Dušek, Martin ; Zukal, Martin (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals in detail with the SIP protocol – a method of communication between two entities, various types of transmitted messages and their content. Few SIP libraries are introduced and two of them are used for development of an application for audio/video conference-calls. Compilation of OPAL and PTlib libraries for Windows 7 Professional (64bit) is described, and problems resulting from lack of information provided by authors. New improved “how to build” is presented. At the end, paper focuses on several ways of development of mentioned application.
