This thesis deals with the detailed measurement one cycle of the ECG signal from the known beginning and end of each major wave of this cycle of the values listed in the database TESPRO. Another objective of this work is to find a representative cycle. The text describes the basic types of measurement intervals, principles of multiple methods of measurement and description of the program, which was implemented. Algorithm for Measurement of function-al units cycle of ECG signal, which was designed based on the detection of trend growth in the field of signal using first differences. Functionality was tested on a standard database CSE.
Wiener Wavelet Filtering of ECG Signals
Heart rate variability analysis from sleep ECG
Lepková, Kamila ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Králík, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with an analysis of heart rate variability from sleep ECG. The thesis is divided into two parts, the first one is theoretical part and describes the physiology of heart and respiratory system, ECG curve, sleeping phases, apnea, and above all analysis of heart rate variability of ECG. In the practical part, using MATLAB software, was developed an algorithm of the analysis. The algorithm was tested on real signals from a publicly accessible database. The difference between the physiological ECG and the ECG with apnea is statistically evaluated using sing parameters from the time and frequency domain. Kruskal-Wallis statistic test confirms that there is a significant difference between the physiological signal and the apnea signal.
Maximization of ECG signals diagnostic yield
Beháňová, Andrea ; Smital, Lukáš (referee) ; Vítek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the maximization of ECG signals diagnostic yield. In the theoretical section we deal with the physiology of the heart, electrocardiography, types of ECG noises. It describes some known methods for the estimation of quality of the ECG signal. The practical section contains two parts. The first one contains a continuous Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). It includes generating artificial ECG signal, artificial myopotentials and implementation of Adaptive Wiener Wiener Filtrate (AWWF). After verification of the correctness of the filter on the artificial data, we started to use real data from MIT-BIH database. The second part involves a segmentation process that divides the ECG signal into three categories: a signal suitable for full analysis, suitable for detection of QRS complexes and a signal unsuitable for further analysis.
ECG data recorder
Hruškovský, Antonín ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the issue of long-term ECG recording, used in medicine for monitoring of cardiac anomalies. Author focuses on explaning the general concepts in the first part. Author describes measuring methods and issues associated with measuring. Comparison of existing devices and design of solution with own features are in next chapter. Next is comparison and selecting of formats for recording measured data and description of device connectivity. In next chapter author focuses on hardware design and implementation of device. After that author describes software solution design for microcontroller, Bluetooth module and smartphone. Author introduces possible improvements for future generation of the device and then describes results of testing at the end of this work.
Real-time ECG monitoring
Valentová, Vanessa ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Šikner, Tomáš (advisor)
The key element of ECG signal analysis is the detection of the QRS complex. The QRS complex is the most significant part of the signal. In this work, there is a short summary of methods used for QRS detection in real time. Based on previous research, the detection alghorithm is chosen and created in LabVIEW. The paper is also focused on cardiac arrhytmias. Created alghorithm is used for detecion certain types of arrhytmia. Alghorithm was tested on MIT/BIH arrhytmia database.
Preprocessing of R-R interval tachogram
Had, Filip ; Kozumplík, Jiří (referee) ; Kubičková, Alena (advisor)
Heart rate variability (HRV) is a parameter, which monitors variability of the time intervals between consecutive heart beats. Signal HRV contains artefacts and trends, which is necessary to remove before further processing. This work contains a brief information about the HRV and ECG signal processing. Further on the most frequently methods of heart rate variability preprocessing are described. The work includes a brief assessment of each method. Further on, several of the mentioned preprocessing algorithms are realized and described in this work. The last part is testing an evaluating of programmed algorithms on generated data and then demonstration on real data.
ECG signals compression
Botlová, Simona ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the compression of ECG signals using wavelet transform and run length encoding. The principles of electrocardiography, compression methods, wavelet transform and run length encoding are described in this thesis. There was created a program to compress and decompress ECG signals in MATLAB interface. The wavelet transform settings and their influence on compress ratio and percentage root mean square difference were tested. Subsequently, the appropriate adjustment of algoritm was found and it was used on CSE database compression.
Simple wavelet filter of ECG signals
Doležel, Jiří ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The work deals with wavelet transfom and its possibilities of using it for elimination muscle noise from ECG signals. The first part of this thesis describes basic properties of ECG signal, the most common types of noise and describes basic types of wavelet transform, which are used for filtering the signals. Others parts describe a process of ECG signals wavelet filter design and afterwards the most appropriate setting are described. Finally results of filtration are evaluated, based on improved SNR, and compared with other author’s results.
Measurement and analysis of ECG signal
Černohous, Lukáš ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
In the first part, this thesis focuses on theoretical knowledge about ECG signal generation, its measuring and filtration. Furthermore it examines the R-wave as the most significant portion of the QRS Complex, describes the LabVIEW environment and the Vernier LabPro interface. The second part of the thesis then shows one of the possible ways of the R-wave detection and the subsequent heart rate measurement, which is then implemented by a program designed in LabVIEW environment. In the conclusion, the results of the thesis are evaluated.
