Socio-economic aspects of life in protected areas - Šumava Case

The main objective of this work was to compare selected socioeconomic aspects of life in two communities in Sumava, when one lies within the National park and one lies within Protected landscape area. The theoretical section provides findings from the literature on national park and protected landscape area. The practical part was comparison objective data of selected residents and survey focused on residents view the presence of communities in the protected area.
Tourism in Protected Areas (example of Lipensko, CHKO Šumava)

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate the tourism in the period 1990- 2010 on the basis of available data, to assess the development of tourism in protected and unprotected areas of the Lipno region, namely from Nová Pec to Lipno nad Vltavou. The theoretical part contains findings obtained from technical literature that relate to tourism, tourism sustainability in protected areas and opportunities of its development. The practical part of the thesis addresses the development of tourism in terms of the number of visitors and the length of their stay, analyses the primary and secondary tourism offer of the Lipno region and compares the situation on the right bank (Šumava Protected Landscape Area) and the left bank of Lipno reservoir. The thesis also includes estimates of further development of tourism in the Lipno region.

The Bachelor Thesis is aimed at analysis of present situation of an own farming business and subsequent opportunities of exploitation of extra-production functions with regard to the location conditions, business structure, its existing scope, human factor and economic aspects. The theoretical part deals with the problems of extra-production functions and environment and landscape protection in relation to agricultural operations in areas with extended environment and landscape protection. The practical part is focused on evaluation of the present condition of the business. It includes evaluation of both, plant and animal production and the subsidiary activity of the business ? accommodation facility. The conclusion evaluates suitability of the business for extra-production functions in restructuring of business activities.
Technological lines for maintenance of permanent grass vegetation in the protected landscape areas.

The thesis deals with technological lines for the maintenance of the permanent grass vegetation in the protected landscape areas. The theoretical part describes what are the protected landscape areas and National Parks. Moreover the agro-technical requirements and terms for the performance of individual operations while harvesting the fodder are included there. Also the characteristic signs of individual sites are involved: altitude, slope, natural obstacles, dimensions of the plot and its orientation. The practical part involves the assembly of technological lines for harvesting the hay and silage with high contents of dry matter. Technical and technological requirements on individual mechanization means and operation. Economic evaluation of suggested procedures.
The ecological aspect emanation of zinc and copper in the cattle

The objective of my diploma thesis was to determine the ecological impact of zinc and copper on the dairy and beef cattle breeding in the South-West Bohemia region at the farms located in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area, at the elevation from 750 m to 1070 m. The research included 4 cattle breeding farms, Posobice and Nemilkov {--} dairy cattle, and Hartmanice, Keple {--} beef cattle. In my thesis, I first evaluate the importance of zinc and copper as important mineral matters and their overall influence of the cattle organism. Furthermore, I evaluate their manifestations when these matters are lacking or in surplus in the organism. The final part of the thesis comprises two areas of findings. The first part focuses on the total intake in feed and mineral additives, the level of their content in blood plasma and their quantity excreted by cattle in the individual dairy and beef cattle breeding farms specified above. The second part researches the release of zinc and copper to the environment.
A usage potential of extinct villages of "Slavkovský les" for tourism development

The thesis is focused on expansion of touristic attractions in the region Karlovy Vary.The main purpose was to carry out an analysis of current condition of the protected landscape area "Slavkovský les" and consequently after getting primary and secondary data to recommend measures for improvement of the situation and to propose products which would utilize potential found for the benefit of tourism in the region. Extinct villages of ``Slavkovský les{\crq}q have became subject for tourism development, whose potential is the basis of the proposed product {--} Miniature park {\clq}"Slavkovský les".
Utilization of Nature Trails for Activation of Children

This work deals with the utilization of Nature Trails for activation of children in their free time. The key issue of this work is to create a ficticious nature trail which may serve for general public while going for a walk. This way it is possible to strengthen and improve good relation between children, adults, and nature {--} by using interesting and easy-reached methods. The Nature Trail for Cyclists is designed in the northern part of Protected Landscape Area Třeboňsko and it is about 30 kilometres long with 16 information points. This Trail is supplemented by worksheets for children of younger school-age {--}these worksheets could possibly be used in the education process. In the practical part, results of children who followed the Nature Trail and fulfilled the assigned tasks were processed and assessed. The designed Nature Trail will be offered to Protected Landscape Area Třeboňsko to realize it.
